I personally loved this performance! Elvis was human, just like we all are. Anything he does, sing, talk, anything, for me is FABULOUS! I miss you ELVIS every day. Still. I miss you.❤️🌻🌈❤️
The more I read about Elvis and about everything he accomplished in his short life..The more my heart aches 💔 for him. He gave so much and in the end no one was there for him...since seeing the movie Elvis I am so obsessed with finding out more about him...
I don't know what it was about that movie but I'm obsessed with Elvis and searching for any and all information about him!
Feel the same❤
It caught my interest as well!
Elvis at his worst is better than anyone else’s best!
truth
YOU ARE SO RIGHT....
So true!!!
Nah
No Elvis was ok talented but highly over rated. I've seen better I've seen worse too he aight lol.
If you can't handle someone at their worst, then you don't deserve them at their best.
👏👏👏💜 well said. 💜
That's a recipe for codependent enabling - it's also emotional blackmail.
What does that even mean? Shouldnt a performer be drug free during a performance? People paid their hard earned money to see him. The audience deserved better. Any paying audience deserves better.
It was one of them nights , Elvis was tired of every ones BS , and he ranted. Happens to the best of us! And Elvis WAS the best! He coulda walked out on stage and belched into the mic the whole show and the fans woulda still loved him !
Fame comes with pressure and he delt with anxiety.
He was a silent falling star ⭐️. He showed all his feelings and hurting and loneliness while singing. May his soul Rest In Peace 🙏🤲🏼😥
I will never judge Elvis, he was a regular human being with a beautiful everything. 👑❤️👑
One has to remember: Elvis honestly thought he didn’t “do drugs” because the pills he took were prescribed by his Doctor. That’s why he could be so insistent that he was “clean as a whistle”. Sad and painful delusion.
Gone too soon!❤️
Exactly
True. I read about that.
@Koletti Pireaus its ironic that at the very moment he claims to be a choir boy he had amphetamines.... opioids...benzopenes...and more in his system....probably used more drugs than morrison and joplin combined...
Id like to think...if he were around now...he would have gotten the support and help he needed..and made great music for another 30 years...
Denial, unfortunately. However, if Elvis had stayed away from opiates, he probably would've lived to be an old man.
Hearing Elvis calling stuff "trash" proves he was way ahead of his time 😆
Yep
He can’t do wrong in my eyes. He was an amazing artist!!
He gave me a Cadillac in 1975. No questions asked. Cheers Elvis👍
He was human under tremendous pressure every second he was awake the poor man we’re ever he is now I hope he is in a better place RIP you deserve it 👑👑🇬🇧👍
I totally agree. Elvis was a very special human being. He just gave so much of himself, till he couldn't keep it all up anymore. Fans always wanted more and more from him. We still do!
@@lucyluluforever2570 👍
His soul is at piece, which is what he needed for so long but was unable to have in life because of the hordes of fans that were so obsessive over him. I am an Elvis fan, every song, every movie every appearance was so professionally handled, looking at today’s artist and the artist of any other time in history, you can always find a time and place where they were caught in an awkward moment, either saying something or acting in a way that didn’t show them in a positive light. But Elvis was different, you can’t find those instances on video or an audio recording, you gotta ask yourself, was it because Elvis was so in control for the public appearances and interviews that he already had the interview or public appearance, or did he have people that handled his public appearances and they planned how every question would asked and not let the controversial question get answered. Actors and musicians today get caught all the time, asking in a way that not favorable to their image. It’s easy to spot their flaws,. So they don’t look as polished as Elvis did. How does any artist compete with someone that is remarkable off stage and even better on stage. Sorry talent of today, if you are going to try and compete with Elvis, you have a big goal to chase. You have to be in professional form 24/4, and even more that someday.....Even though he’s soul is at piece, Unfortunately his memory is still being harassed by the millions of fans , that are constantly in one way my.
@@TraceeRae 👍👍👍🇬🇧
@@billybob042665 thanks 🤩
To me this is just Elvis being himself... a good ole southern boy being polite and courteous and honest to the audience, as he’s giving his two cents worth about things being said about him that were bothering him. And still he gave his undivided attention to the his fans who he always appreciated. Long live the memories of the KING forever!!!
YEAH THE DRUGS HE WAS ON WAS DOING ALL THE BS, TALKING.

Got your name right don't you, right up there with the MEDIA! ( US MESSENGER) Don't want to hear your jealous BS lies either!
We all have our off days and for the most part Elvis was 100% the most polite, well mannered and kind man. ♡♡♡♡♡♡
I LOVE HEARING ELVIS TALK WITH HIS FANS. HIS SENSE OF HUMOR WAS GREAT.
Elvis knew he could rely on his fan's, his real fan's! TY.
I saw Elvis with my mom and brother in 1973, and it was the most intense glorious magnificent 2/3 hours of pure heaven❤️❤️❤️
Elvis! He breaks my heart & he warms my heart. 💋 He had to handle so much. Exceptional! You're right, he is funny...😊 I can listen to his voice forever. Marvelous footage. Thanks again! 👏
I love hearing his voice, just hearing him talk, like how he talks, so cute
You gotta love it. I think it makes him more human hearing him at a difficult time. As for his singing, Elvis at his worst is better than anyone else at their best. I know people will dismiss that thought as ridiculous, but I mean it, in that I would rather see Elvis, even at his worst, over anyone else at their best.
Right... I agree
Well said
@@kenhayes5759 appreciate that, thanks.
He's not better than anyone else at his worst , are you saying he's better than say Pavarotti or Freddie Mercury at their best and Elvis at his worst or best ? Even Elvis would cringe at that remark Doug ... Elvis was not the greatest singer that ever lived ...
I agree with that 100%! I’ve heard this College Park show before, and also the Houston matinee show from ‘76. Was intrigued by both via the bad reviews received. In my opinion, while he may seem understandably a little below par at times, he sounds far better than the sensationalised media attention may have had me believe.
ELVIS is just plain WONDERFUL
Now I admire Elvis Presley, the King, even more! He was a true giant, he was and always will be THE KING!
I wouldnt care if he sang, or ranted...I would listen to anything he had to say!....it makes him more human if you ask me and he deserves to give his side and he talks just like if he knew each and every person intimately! I love it!
That's because, he loved his fan's like family. He fired staff member's for being mean to his fan's! He knew his fan's loved him and, they would be there for him no matter what he said or, done if they were true fan's that is! People are so Jealous of him still and, he's been gone for 45 years. My Lord!
Love this ,the way he talks ,jokes ,swears ,being himself with his fans awesome 😻😻❤️❤️
I love every part of that show. We get to see Elvis the entertainer, as well as Elvis being a regular human being👍- Frankie’Elvis’
Elvis was chatty on stage in 1974 and his speech isn't slurred it's pretty clear and not giving away signs of using downers. I like this show for that reason - the College Park show wasn't the worst by any means. The audience laughed when he said he was a Federal Narcotics Agent. He was revealing something about himself but at the same time was in denial. In private he knew he was putting on weight but the paunch was a bullet proof vest. He didn't see the prescription drugs as being on drugs they were medicinal aids prescribed by doctors so he justified it that way he wasn't taking things to get off his head or high he needed them..and yet he'd check in to hospital to "dry out". He was still Elvis that we knew and loved in 1974 but the signs of where he was heading were there.
No it’s not that bad. He’s voice wasnt that good that night, he was very chatty, not putting a lot into his performances. A couple rants. A casual or non fan wouldn’t walk away saying he’s the greatest but a “Elvis fan” would’ve been a bit startled at times I imagine and know Elvis could do better than that but still love him
I think a real Elvis fan would treat and respect him
As Human .. A living breathing sentient being trapped in the lifestyle choices his talent led him to.
@@ElvisistheMan_ Agreed 100%, he’s chatty, angry, short with folks, and he was nervous & even slurred his words. He’s definitely showing signs that he’s losing his composure. His voice is just not up to par. Self control ?? Yeah NO.
Think he was on uppers here.
Elvis was defending himself from hate mongers, and he had every right to. He sounds fine and he was hurt and I believe, was looking to his fans for some support and love because sometimes the press/media sure as heck liked to knock him down. To heck with them. He sounds fantastic here!
It's sad you see some of his own "fans" doing it in the comments here
He was incredibly stoned here. How could you not tell?
I love Elvis and it's easy to hear and tell that he was high..let's be real here
I agree with you and I do not think anybody could love Elvis as much as I have. However, his statements about not using drugs or being out of it as we know is completely false. The rumors and the papers were correct. And as much as understand that is painful for him on stage here are not true, I do think that his incredible fame made him a lonely person, and I sympathize with anyone that has struggled with drug addiction, and I understand it. Is it terrible terrible laws and and of people a painful one. I think he would have done better to have avoided addressing it and making the statement. Long live the King!
It had only just began to unravel in 1974
I seen this awesome performer 13 times went back stage 5 times He was the most humble performer i ever met and I have met many He Loved his fans and gave them his ALL.....There is nothing wrong with this performance He talked to his fans......
Whoa!!!!
❤❤
Elvis was the first global mega star there was no one before him and to this day there isn’t anyone to match his fame!the pressure must have been enormous!
Pressure extraordinaire and let's not forget that TCB meant perfection and giving his beloved fans nothing but the best ❤
A star that’s shines twice as bright can only shine for half the time!!
@Bob Sebring Yeah, but his music brought warmth to the heart.
Actually the first mega entertainment star would be Charlie Chaplin. He was known around the world. I'm their are others but of a different kind of profession.
only Woody Allen can top Elvis
I saw Elvis September 2, 1976, so I speak from the position of experience when it comes to seeing him in concert. I also have met and spent a lot of time with notable members from Elvis’ entourage. Most notably Charlie Hodge in the 1990’s. I have been a singer/entertainer for over 35 years in Las Vegas and touring around the world with notable shows like Legends In Concert for 20 years. I wanted to address a few of your comments and opinions. One, if you listen you can tell he is very coherent in this concert. That’s why he’s talking so much. Just a few weeks prior he performed the infamous “tear your tongue out by the roots.....” show in Vegas (9/2/1974). He was still reeling from things being written about him. Should he have addressed them from the stage? Probably not in hindsight. But Elvis was an Alpha Male. He did not back down from a fight. He felt he has to not only protect himself, but in his own words from 9/2/1974, the things being said could be hurtful and harmful to his father and daughter. In 1974 there was no book coming out by 3 of his former bodyguards, so it was Elvis’ word against the accusers. Now we all know now what was going on, but in 1974 the world did not know the truth behind the wall of Graceland so to speak. When he was heavily medicated on stage his words were way more slurred compared to the shows in ‘74. So he was angry and coherent. He was on stage in front of thousands who loved and adored him. He was quick witted and very humorous. Constantly making jokes. Some of the jokes were off mic just for the band members at times. Just so to understand his disposition. As for his vocals? In 1974 Elvis had several bouts with vocal problems and dry throat. You can hear him through his career in Vegas talk about the “Vegas Throat” and how he constantly had to drink water and Gatorade. If you listen to recordings in ‘74, most notably the album “Elvis, Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis. The album with Graceland on the cover. You can hear his voice seems dryer. His notes are not held as long. The song How Great Thou Art he doesn’t go for the highest note. As a vocalist I can tell you that Elvis was singing around the notes on several songs because he was having vocal problems. Now, Charlie and I spoke about that because I was curious what was going on during that time. Charlie said Elvis had been examined and that they had found irritation and inflammation on his vocal chords. He also experienced several bad colds during 1973-1974. At one point there was concern he may had been over working his voice with so many concert tours and constant talking which irritates the vocal chords. Another concerned at that time but did not come to pass was that he may have had nodules on his vocal chords during that era. So much has been written about him locking himself up in his room several times because of depression, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was just trying to rest his voice and trying to let his vocal chords heal without constant interaction with people and having to speak constantly.
By 1975 his voice had returned to normal. You can listen to the bootleg concerts recorded in the first half of ‘75 and hear his vocal range had returned. He’s hitting every high note and sustaining them even longer than before. From 1975-1977 Elvis, when he wasn’t plagued with not feeling well, would put on a vocal demonstration every night. Even when he was overly medicated at times, like from the last tour. Watch when he goes into Hurt or How Great Thou Art. It’s like a switch is flipped and he realizes he has to concentrate because of the vocal prowess of these more vocal demanding songs.
Personally I don’t believe any of us have a right to critique Elvis. We never walked a mile in his shoes. You never see singers or actors critiquing one another. It’s because they are aware of the very talent it takes to do what they do and not just anyone has that talent. Critics are usually someone who is not talented in that field. Let’s be fans and not critics. Love and appreciate Elvis for his talent as well as his humanity he had towards his fellow man ⚡️TCB⚡️
Elvis also was plagued by tonsillitis pretty much all the time. They said in the autopsy he had large holes in his tonsils. He wouldn't have them taken out because he worried it would affect his voice. So it's even More amazing how fantastic he sang! In fact with all the health problems he had that have come to light recently, makes Him even more amazing!
The man had everything except the will to live at the end, most of his ill health came from the huge amounts of prescription drugs he was taking daily, they were called attacks, 3 a day just to get him through the day, uppers, downers and huge amounts of painkillers containing derivatives of morphine.
His bowel was blocked and 3 times the size, with the residue of painkillers, the cause of his constipation.
Depression is a known side effect of drug abuse, and can cause bi polar and paranoia.
His glaucoma in one eye is the only thing not attributed to drug abuse, and you don't need huge amounts of painkillers for that.
He was his own worst enemy.
The worst thing of all this is he was worked like a donkey by Parker, to fund his gambling addiction, he had half of all Elvis's earnings, 50% of everything.
Things could have been so different.
So very sad..
Political Parody - Thanks so much for your post. To hear so much from someone who was there is really a gift for an Elvis fan but I tend to disagree with Elvis' statement that his anger at the media was because of Lisa Marie and what she might hear. When he went off on his rant at the Vegas show that you mention, his six year old daughter was in the audience and he actually said, "I'll tear your Goddamn throat out" and then went on a tear about Mike Stone not being a stud after telling the audience how fabulously he had settled into the divorce and how he wasn't strung out. A six year old wasn't going to read tabloids so what she heard came straight from her Dad. I can't imagine how a small child would have processed that display from a parent but Lisa went on to have a severely troubled life and who knows where it all began. Most of the people here see Elvis' rants as a loveable part of who he was but I tend to go with Freddie Mercury's opinion that people pay their hard earned money to forget their problems and enjoy a concert and not have to listen to the problems of the entertainers. It's one thing to have friendly banter with the audience but quite a different thing to ask them to be your therapist.
@@jennywren7822 The honest truth. 👆
@@debra2700 no the shewed opinion. His daughter was not in the audience when he ranted.

@Michael Gregory wow........so uncanny.......🙆♂️
The volume of records, live concerts, and movies that Elvis performed during his career was phenomenal. To this day, there is no performer that has matched him. He sang and performed without any of the special effects that today's performers use. He totally captivated an audience, and demonstrated an unique gift to transcend various genres of music. He was truly gifted.
Yeah, but he had the JUMPSUITS!
Elvis "performed a volume" of movies? Do you mean he starred in a bunch of Hollywood crap? Or did you mean that he consumed volumes of opioids, speed, bacon, and bimbos?
Sadly, Keith, you have misquoted what I wrote. The man is deceased. I will not say unkind things about him or to you. Enjoy your day.
@@valeriemason9615 I did not "misquote" you. Is your principle that we should never criticize anyone who has died?
Truer words ever spoken, He was a human being and tired of people putting out crap on Him.
Those people who wrote things about him really hurt him. He's human and had feelings for sure. Come on man..

Love Elvis...seen him in concert. He is wasted tho here. But hey he still gave a good concert.
Elvis knew the meaning of the word responsibility. And he did not want to disappoint his fans, who had bought tickets. I guess, some of today's artists would have disappointed their fans by not appearing on stage. Elvis was different. He was and always will be THE KING!
Aside from a handful of people not a soul on this planet can understand what it's like to deal with fame on the level of Elvis Presley. The impossible massive level of fame, pressure, scrutiny, temptations, negative influences, people constantly pulling you in every direction, who knows what else, my God. From where he began to where he ended up... Did he ever really have a chance?
Oh jeezes, that is so very polite and kind of you to say that, being the most in your life in the spotlight, thinking.. Oh God they are watching me and than always deliver a fantastic show, you have to be strong enough to handle that, and clearly... Everyone expected to much from Elvis! He was human and, people don't understand that for some reason, IDK?
Elvis was a grown man. He knew right from wrong. He, himself, chose the wrong path.
Personal responsibility doesn't stop because you are Elvis Presley.
@@naomiwarner7117 hi, yes, you are right, but also that stupid Tom Parker, who managed him and commanded him everything he should do. If Elvis had fired that guy many years before, things may have turned out differently, with a decent manager, he could have been more his own boss and do like he felt like. Maybe then he wouldn't have died so young and had a much better life. I could say so many things, but I'm very ill myself and must be operated, writing all this makes me exhausted even. Me, too. Such a treasure; such a loss.
His real true fans didn't pay any attention to bad press.
Maybe they should have - Best thing they could have done at occasions like the one in the video, in fact, would have been to walk out .
Then they weren't true fans. True fans would have acknowledged that something was terribly wrong with him. He had too many enablers and yes people. If more people told him the truth, he might have lived beyond August 16th, 1977.
I agree w/ u! Monzell, Taylor! & trus Elvis fans would never talk all this awful on here as they usually dooooo!!!!!? & let sweet elvis RIP! & a true fan should know he loved his fans ! & gave his best! AMEN!
True
His addiction to drugs and his hebephillic relationships just make him human. But would any other human get away with it without judgement.
Put EP in context. If you lose your identical twin brother then lose your only other true love Gladys, you are on a downward spiral & psychological odyssey. EP's life reflects his past traumas & self-indulgent behaviors meds, food, work, women, etc. Despite all of his human faults he is bar none the World's greatest Entertainer of all time. R.I.P.
He had to fill the void of them losses somehow. Not only did he lose his brother, mother and wife he really lost his creative control between Parker, Hollywood, and even his fans so stuck on the 50s elvis that when he changed the song lineup for one night in Vegas they basically crushed his soul entirely by not reacting to it at all and that happened August 19, 1974 that's the day we started to lose elvis
A lot of people go with the narrative that Elvis was a "druggie" and fail to mention or take into account that everything he took was prescribed by doctors. Most don't look at the fact that the medical community as a whole back then knew very little about the effects of mixing different medications. Elvis had quite a few legitimate health problems and was given medications back then that no doctor today would prescribe together because of the dangerous side effects of combining them. It also didn't help that in the 70's a lot of doctors were still prescribing uppers and downers like they were candy.
Elvis legit didn't think he had a drug problem because he had doctors telling him "here take this" and he trusted those doctors to take care of his health. It was a tragic situation all around.
Absolutely. My mom always used Dexadrine as an example to ùs kids. It was sold over the counter and contained AMPHETAMINES!! My mom used it to keep down her weight & used them for extra ENERGY while PREGNANT!! 🤯
Anything can be a drug. Refined sugar is more addictive than cocaine in laboratory animals. Refined sugar is my addiction and I have tried every drug in the book just about
There have been a lot of people who were drugged, just like Elvis and not all are celebrities and many doctors knew exactly what they were doing but didn't care. Judy Garland, Elvis, and others, were money machines and were used and they had to be up and working to make money for their handlers. Tom Parker should have been in jail except what he was doing to Elvis wasn't technically against the law. Elvis was his money maker and he couldn't care less about the man. God forbid he be encouraged to go to rehab, God forbid the doctors stop prescribing the crap and stick with the meds that he actually needed. Elvis was NOT well during the last months of his life, or even before that but he still could sell out a house. That's all that mattered. It's just a damn shame.
This is just more babble from one of the millions of cultish fans who cannot face the dark truths about Presley, much like Michelle Jackson fans insisting that he was not a pedophile.
This person says that Elvis "didn't think he had a drug problem." How on Earth do you know what he thought? You have no clue. Your need to absolve him of responsibility for his addictions is a pitiful expression of idol-worship.
He took 33 sleeping pills per night and 9 demerol injections......I would say he was indeed a druggy
I loved hearing him, and whether he sang or talked idve enjoyed it fully. He could read a dictionary and idve loved it. Gotta say i didn't find Bills voice as impressive as Elvis did

Elvis was a human being and was falling apart as the years progressed and this shows it. A man who never lost sight of his humble beginnings, but still human and fallible.

Listened to his having fun with Elvis on stage album today.. and I actually enjoy his banter, his personality is golden -
And I feel so bad he was so controlled, wish he could be here to see how different things are ❤️✨
I think we need to keep in mind that the critics during that time were soooooo conservative and didn’t want him to succeed from day one
I agree. I know he got very famous very quickly...However, I wish (in the early days) he had been roommates with Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. Maybe he would have gotten a little of their FU attitude and not let Tom Parker have so much control
TRUE! People still bash him to this day!
I just got to the end. I actually hadn’t heard this all before, only part of it. First time I heard him sing like that when his voice cracked. I agree, if you weren’t a hardcore fan, you wouldn’t understand and probably walked away with a bad impression but for those of us who are, we love him unconditionally. He was human and had his struggles.
His voice didn’t crack. He knew what he was doing vocally.
They as in the fans did the same thing with David Cassidy and Ricky Nelson. Ricky I witnessed first hand but his voice wasn’t cracking and he was forty and looked my age. David’s looks we’re going and his voice was done by the end. I don’t believe Elvis voice was suffering but of course his body was done but these women in their fifties still saw twenty year old Elvis.
It makes me love him all the more.
This was the show that his ex-girlfriend from the '56 era Barbara Hearn attended with her husband (the girlfriend that Elvis' mom really liked). She hated the show and didn't care for Elvis' overall attitude. She regretted going to the show and didn't even make an effort to try and meet with him.

This was a very good show you put out. Thank you! Elvis was definitely full of adrenaline that day. Hence a little bit of a diversion from his normal performance quality. But of course better than the rest out there. To hear Elvis talk the way he did, the audience was truly blessed to be part of such a rare occurrence. For me that was the best part of the show. ELVIS was a gift to all the world and we are all so fortunate to have his recordings and know the stories of his generosity. He set the bar for all of us to look up at and wonder.
Yep. The patrons there that day were really in for something unique!
@Koletti Pireaus
So very true, I can't understand why people can't see this, just his voice gives it away.
I've been a fan since I was 14, I'm now 73.
Fame and his coping with it was his downfall, so very sad. ❤
@Koletti Pireaus
He was straining on the toilet, and with the amount of drugs he'd taken because he couldn't sleep, it stopped his heart.
Nobody in the house to save him, his girlfriend he knew had taken sedatives to sleep, she found him when she woke up many hours later. His daughter was in her bedroom.
He was surrounded by needles and tablets on the bathroom floor.
He hadn't taken his first 2 attacks that day either, make of that what you will..
@@jennywren7822
NOT true at all! His bathroom was clean! Elvis had a twisted colon, that's what constipated him! Do your research!
He was the greatest of all times , Elvis presley will never be forgotten.
People don’t realize it always suffered from stage fright. This is why he often would do jokes or try to get people to laugh because it was an easy way to shut off his fears. He would have to get Into the Zone before he would come on stage
@@studlygrish
He would pray before each concert, per bodyguards!
Those tabloids people why can't they just leave him alone. Elvis is a good person, he's a beautiful angel❤️❤️❤️
Except for his girlfriends and wives.
No one has greater, dedicated fans like Elvis does. He has been gone for so long and he lives on in our hearts. Just listening to his beautiful slow songs, I never get tired of him, his voice is the best in the world. Poor fella, started way in poverty and rose to fame so quickly that it eventually destroyed him. God Bless him and we miss him so much and we cherish all those great songs. He was only human and this is what drugs do to us if we use them wrongly.
I’ve heard this audio before. Yes he was talkative and hey, he wasn’t lying though. He really was a black belt and a narcotics agent (funny story). When he talks about his paunch lol. SOB. LOL. I love it! I would have loved to be there. I don’t care what people say. It’s TRASH!!!
I love this. Elvis ranting like all of us do at times.
But he wasn't at home. He was inhis workplace.
I have recording of first part of Detroit Michigan show in 1974 where you can hear him getting threatening over the sound system having feedback
Nobody cared about that
They LOVED ELVIS
and STILL DO

So, his true fan's didn't care, WE loved it and, he knew it!
@@michaelszczys8316
So, he should have ripped their damn throat out, like he said! ( Media ).
Elvis had a way of speaking to women and they loved him.
Elvis never did a bad concert in his life. A true Elvis fan would never think so. He was and always will be the absolute best. Nobody and I do mean nobody will ever top him ! Thanks for posting, I love it !

We have no idea what it’s like to be Elvis...the most loved, adored, desired human to ever live! I can’t imagine keeping the schedule he did! He gave so much of himself for us!! Therefore I will always defend & adore him!!!!
I'm so glad that someone as young as you are Elvis fan. My late husband was a big fan of him me myself is also fan nobody can sing like him.
I’m 15 and obsessed with him.
27/11/2020 we had a beautiful little girl Presley Olive so in one way or another this mans name will live on forever
@@xealzy944 don't be. Its not healthy.
Two would be overkill.
Margaret, how old if I may ask?
Elvis 50s hits are the ones that are played the most and remembered still ....
True
His most successful decade as far as hits go i think. The Army really threw a spanner in the works to what might have been
When he came out with"heartbreak hotel"it was like a huge tsunami had engulfed the USA and possible the world.I kid you not.🗽🗽🗽👍👍👍
I actually prefer his ballads and his Gospel songs. I like the late 60's and 70's music. But then he had many good songs from the movie years. Loved Bossa Nova and can still remember when U S Male record came out. I loved it so much cause he talked some in that song and loved to hear his voice.
@@lucyluluforever2570 Elvis 50s power that ignited the rock phenomenon will always be his zenith as a performer unfortunately the rest will be tainted by bad movies in the 60s yes he made a great return to live performances in the late 60s early 70s but unfortunately Prescription drugs destroyed his true potential just a sorry sad decline that tainted his legacy leaving himself open the ridicule and lurid tales in books after he died , at least the bodyguard book was written before he died and elvis was too far gone health wise to turn things around !! I’m an Elvis fan but also a realist when I view Elvis as a person and a performer , Elvis was human not a God like some people will have you believe.
This reminds me of the conversation Elvis had with red west, in which he denied being “blanked up” in denial, right to the very end...loved the compliment to the “ grandmother 👵🏻 “what a beautiful talented man,”... I don’t think I ever heard him talk that much. Only would I find this on Elvis is the man!!
He had a gift that was destroyed by the world and he was taken from us all way to soon .
The world's great at destroying good things
With all due respect, Lennie, Elvis destroyed Elvis; the truth hurts, but is no less the truth for it…

Well, if Elvis did. MJ and, all the rest did, nobody murdered them!
Love hearing these little rants from random shows! Thanks and keep them coming!
Even when he wasn’t at his best he sounded amazing
I think this is one of his better shows! Love hearing him talking with the audience. I think his voice sounds great. Wish I could have been...I wouldn't have been disappointed!
Hearing Elvis ranting is priceless, anyone who bought a ticket to that concert was blessed to hear the greatest entertainer the world has ever known speak.
Elvis never put on a bad show as he always left the stage to standing ovations.
People came to absorb his presence not to critique him, just to experience him, he gave everything he had, and at this point that's all he had and that was MORE than enough for his fans!!!🙋♀️🙅♀️🙆♀️🙌👏👏👏
The speaking voice of this man sounds as if he is on heavy drugs or drunk. Elvis biggest blessing considering his legacy as a star, but at the same time the worst thing for him as a private person was it, that he was able to function as well as to appear very professional, even when he was completely stoned or tired. The discipline of this guy was amazing. But because of this specific trait he had to pass early because he pushed himself beyond his own limits to please his audience. Appreciate that!
Going to Graceland at the end of the month can’t wait. Great video!
You’ll love iy
This is in Maryland where t was born and raised! think he.probably got tired of all the negative stuff being put out in magazines and news papers I don’t blame him for saying his mind and to let his audience know his feelings about all the trash that was being written about him and his life!! Stuff written and said would be very hurtful to him and Lisa Marie, his daddy, because ppl only like to write and say about the negative things, but never about all the donations and free concerts and all the great things he had done for many people for years!!! THANK YOU ELVIS FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES THAT YOU LEFT US WITH TO HEAR AND SEE FOREVER AND EVER!!!! You were such a great giving and caring, loving ANGEL FROM UP ABOVE!!!!! R.I.P. may you be resting in peace with your loving Mama now!! FLY HIGH YOU’RE CERTAINLY DESERVING OF IT!!!⚡️⚡️❤️💗🤍💛🙏😇🔯💕💙💟🎶♥️🎼💋☪️
Not all of it was trash. They wrote about him abusing drugs and he got mad the public knew about it.
HELL I think this is one of his GREATEST SHOWS. He let his voice & words GOOOOOOOO!!!! We would have seen much more of this in the 1980s and 90s had he lived. WE REALLY MISSED OUT.
I think it’s so cool the Elvis felt so comfortable with the crowds he entertained that he was able to air his grievances to thousands of people while we have to pay to talk to just one person 😁
Can’t imagine anyone holding up as well as he did with that schedule. Sounded like getting some strokes from fans here. Had to sit down for a few songs at some LV shows too
Elvis’ schedule was pretty standard for the day. He handled it the way most rock stars of the time did, he took massive quantities of pharmaceuticals.
His band had the same schedule.
@@AnthonyKiyola According to Duke Bardwell, the band took speed too.
@@jimfoster7986 I didn't know that but I’m not surprised.

They took more meds than Elvis did!
Sounds like a great show to me ! I wish I was there ! 😀
Me Too! Lordy!
Elvis was just burnt out and he had no way out. Most of us can change jobs or careers but Elvis had no options. And I heard in several interviews where he stated he had a payroll, a lot of people depending on him. Bless him.
That’s true. Elvis was sorta stuck
We attended that Cole House, U. Maryland Elvis Concert and loved him and concert. Today we remain big dedicated Elvis Fans.
What is crazy is yo have this show, then you have the Elvis Live in Memphis show the same year, and that was an amazing show. I remember as a kid in the 90’s, my grandmother had a cassette of the Memphis show, and I used to listen to it all the time. So much so that later on, she gave it to me.
love him and always will, thank you for the video
Well hello
Elvis even when he laughs he sounds better than when I singing
They worked him to death his voice was heaven sent he was a true gift from God
In my heart there could never be a worst concert.I would've been happy if he just talked to the audience for an hour, just to be there with him would be unbelievable ❤❤
Me too!
Thank you for what you are doing in these video's. Thank you for your content.
Thank you I’m glad you like them!
Elvis' dance steps like the tiptoe thing WAYYYYYY before Michael Jackson. Not the moonwalk. But the tip-toe thing is ELVIS and "THE Voice" nowadays TV show is from ELVIS.
I personally think it was cool for Elvis to defend himself. He seemed to mostly be with it on stage. I look at it like folks just have to jab at you sometimes. I liked everything about Elvis. lol
I like everything about him too. I’m glad he did! If he was sober I don’t know if he would, but these are his true feelings so I like to hear them.
It's delusional to defend yourself when you're lying.
I love Elvis. Nothing will ever change that ❤️
I love to hear him speak as much as I love to hear him sing. His country accent is the cherry on the cake!
I just love when he goes on his little rant also he is a great comedian hilarious at times thank you so much for Elvis the king will always be the king
I love Elvis here.Noone knows what Elvis read to set him off.He had so much hate that he should have gotten angry much sooner.
Elvis Will always be number 1
My mother, bless her, took my sister and I to this concert because she knew how much I loved Elvis. I was almost 11 years old and it was my first concert. I really enjoyed seeing my idol, despite being in the nosebleed section! Ha!
Elvis was a perfectionist. I haven't listened yet but I will soon.
Yeah I've heard about this concert and listened to the whole thing recently. Love this channel man. Keep up the good work. I love it.
I’m glad to hear it. Thanks!
@@ElvisistheMan_ I thought Elvis worst concert was supposed to be the show in Houston August 1976.
To me, it was a talkative Elvis thats all. And he did a good job. 🤘
This was unusual for Elvis & God knows the man was stalked like no other. A rare clip of someone who was as down to earth as you can get. He was a true natural & one of the best entertainers ever. He didn't have a big band behind him at the College Park show. He was forever harrassed about his weight gain. It's disrespectful to say to anyone famous or not 💔
I saw him twice in concert one of his last in Chicago, even though he was not looking the best he had a great performance.
I would love to have been at this concert. Elvis is in a great mood.
