I never peel or use flour on any of my mushrooms! I just put them in a big bowl and run the tap over them gently using my hands to rinse them off very quickly! Any earth dirt comes off without any soaking. Then I strain and let dry while preparing my other ingredients for cooking. Have done this all these years! Never had any issues with it. But this is an interesting video. Never knew people did this to mushrooms before cooking!

Thank you Your tip helps me a lot Please let me know how to keep all other vegetables and fruits fresher and possibly if you keep them longer than the containers they come in from the store. I am having trouble with my vegetables and fruits staying fresh in the vegetable bin and fruit bin in my refrigerator. I don’t know if I am making mistakes or if it is my 10 year old refrigerator? I need your help if I am doing anything wrong. Thank you so much for sharing your tip with the mushrooms. It was my fault because they went bad and I can’t use them today like I was going to because the recipe I was going to make with the mushrooms, I cannot make now. I feel bad about it too. There are so many people who are starving and dying from hunger and when I make a mistake like this, it makes me feel bad. ❤️❤️✌️

    • @AlpaCooking

Don’t ever store mushrooms in the freezer as they have a lot of water content in them they will become hard in the freezer and then very soggy once u defrost
