I know exactly what you mean with the footing comment! I live an hour away from the Adirondack’s (upstate New York) and my home waters are the Salmon and Little Salmon River. The Adirondack waters are gentle, tranquil, and ebb by. The home waters have riffles and pockets to fish beside a raging stream with slippery rocks! Tight lines, awesome video! 🎣
Very nice video and beautiful location! I wish that UA-cam and technology allowed higher level of resolution- so we could “fish” with you by watching the leader. Maybe in a few more years!
It can be done, but for that i need a cameraman. I have camera that can pull it out but need someone to be with me. I also want that. Leader would mean a lot. I did some footage of my friend, i will edit it soon i think.
'that's where I expected a fish, that's where I got it'...great to be out on the river with you and your friend using the micro leader + single nymph looking for wild trout holding spots / reading the water..thanks for sharing your very helpful finesse fishing techniques and tips (especially using thin tippet, good quality wide gape barbless hooks and an appropriate action rod)...absolutely beautiful brown trout and location👍...BTW, did you try fishing with a gammurus/shrimp/scud pattern?
Fishing in small rivers is easy. But i love it because of surprises it can provide. I dont have a single scud pattern in my boxes. Its one of the flies i dont like to tie.
Its 0wt 10.2ft rod. However, it bends like this on most fish. Wnd these were stronger than average trout. My friend has some rod and he uses it for barbels up to 4kg....
Yes, brown trout, but river is full of calcium/gammarus so they get very pretty. I am sure if i took any to ear meat would be super orange in colour. Super nice day, no big fish but fun. In serbia we rarely, if ever use 2 flies. Its one fly thing...And i do feel i have more control with one fly.
What beautiful fish! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. Those were probably most beautiful trout i caught
Very beautiful! Thank you for your work you put into making these videos.
Thank you for your kind comment. Cheers 🍻

Thank you so much. I love pockets, its like fishing microcosmos every few meters. Fun fishing.

It looks like you are fishing a pretty light rod. What is your setup?

👌👌👌👌👍👍👍
Thanks 😀😀
Very nice!!! Serbia has some beautiful trout, so are they brown trout? You had a great day.. Just single fly no dropper?

Beautiful. Did you use a pheasant tail? 😂
Yes I did, is there any other fly around :))) Al kidding aside. PT was on almost all the time.
Have you tried Tenkara fishing?
Yes I have, it felt kind of limiting but at the same time more relaxing. Not a bad way to catch a fish. I loved the drift i could achieve with it.
