- Create healthier more mobile hips with this internal hip rotation drill done from a supine position. Works the internal rotation (IR) muscles of the hip including the glutes, TFL, hip adductors, and pectineus. IR is an extremely important element of efficient movement. Limitations in your hips IR have been linked to increased risk of adductor strain, lower back pain, as well as back and abdominal muscle injuries. Athletes with decreased IR may struggle with lower throwing velocity due to the transfer of energy between the lower and upper extremities in the kinetic chain being altered. A long stick (6-7ft) is used to irradiate the tissues and create healthy leverage to help you access a greater range of motion. Give this drill a try today to keep your hips healthy and mobile so you can move better!

Stick Mobility is a training system that improves your mobility, stability, and strength.
The exercises combine joint mobilization, strength training, and deep fascial stretching to increase athletic performance, reduce the risk of injury, and speed recovery after exercise.
The system uses the Mobility Stick as a simple tool to improve range of motion, muscle activation, coordination, and body awareness to build a strong foundation for better movement. It provides kinesthetic and visual feedback to users and coaches. The Mobility Stick is made with a custom blend of materials designed to achieve the balance of flexibility, strength, and grip needed for the full range of Stick Mobility exercises.
The exercises are based on the scientific principles of:
- Leverage
- Stability
- Feedback
- Irradiation
- Isometrics
- Coordination
