FINALLY SOMEONE WHO PAID ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS! I have heard this by various folks over 40 years and YOU are the only one to have listened and transcribed it so well... Kudos. I recommend you to ALL!!!! Many thanks!!!

    • @jojolouis

SO TRUE! That attention to details might not be important to some, but it's those details that makes me understand the difference between a "guitar scratcher" and a great guitarist i.e.: someone who makes MUSIC!!!!
Check also the intro of Hotel California on this site for details that makes that makes ALL the difference ! And "Angie", and.......etc......etc...

Finally! After practicing for over a month, I can play the intro! I'll always muff a note or two, as I'm not a great player. But that's OK. Many thanks Andy for taking the time to produce this fabulous lesson. A handful of songs on my setlist are a bi-product of your tutorials.

I call Andy the GuitaristEngineerAll_In_One...he's so precise and always nails every note so accurately it's not even normal any more. He's exactly the type of teacher we should all support. Always starts up with a nice historical perspective of the song and demo that he's going to teach. Pushes the commercial part the least of most UA-camrs! A joy and bessing to have sharing his amazing talent.

At home in L.A. under quarantine due to COVID, so not working a day job right now. Yup, I'm a performer too, just not a musician. I'm more of a hobbiest when it comes to music. I... LOVE... music! Thank you, brother.

What a master teacher you are. Note the black, the superfluous voice and the total focus on teaching? No ego or anything to detract from the lesson. Incredible detail that evidences his expert musicianship. I've got more in the month since I discovered this man than in the prior 30 years of strumming. In every lesson there is something with a wider applicability. We may not want the theory but it's there woven in. Doesn't ask for a dime but deserves it more than any teacher. I'll give you a donation periodically. You're a fine human.

Thanks Andrew. I make my tutorials available to everyone for free because I don't like excluding folks who may be facing some kind of financial hardship. Music should be available to all. Thing is, nothing is really free right? I put a huge amount of time and effort into making these videos, so please only consider them as "free" if you just don't have the money... but if you can afford it and you're getting something out of my lessons I ask that you make a financial contribution. five years later it still sounds just as beautiful..
it was watching this and a few other videos from Andy that made me decide to get myself a Taylor mini.🎶🎸☺️
and on the side note is a testament to Andy's beautiful playing is a fact there are many people that don't play guitar but just like to watch the lessons as he recreates the magic almost literally. and so on point scary
and it's to the point he could have said okay this is how you play an A minor chord.. and spent almost 15 or 20 minutes on how to play the a minor chord and this would have been some 2 hr video

Long time subscriber....another excellent transcription! Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos and the integrity you put into teaching us what you truly believe is the original recorded version of these classic songs. You have a great ear... one of the best on youtube for this style. I've been playing guitar since 1972 and have been playing my version of these same songs in and out of bands and groups for many years. You have consistently shown me how to improve on various parts of songs, and I'll mix some of those parts into my version to help me tweak what I've already been playing for years. I'm older now and have pretty much (but not entirely) hung up my electric and play the main acoustic guitar in a trio we call the Backyard Boys. We play any classic rock and blues (or 90's country love ballad) song, un-plugged. But, my point is that I admire what you do and can see how much of an influence you have on the internet. Attracting 144,300 subscribers on youtube is a miraculous thing. You're a Rock Star in you're own right. Teaching is a noble endeavor. I hope you're able to do this for a long time. Thanks, again! Btw, you don't live in Texas, by chance, do you?
