    This is a great tutorial. Your technique and knowledge are beyond most, only 18 minutes and you have a realistic, anatomically correct face. Most people push and pull a dynamesh until they get a resemblance of what a face looks like. You start with a skull as a base and work off of it, creating a flawless representation of a realistic head. Best head tutorial I've seen yet. Good job!

    I'm sculpting a human head in ZBush Core Mini for my college class and I've been having so much trouble. After watching 10 minutes of this video, I feel like I know what I was doing wrong and how to change. This is such a perfect tutorial, you should be so proud of how you were able to make people understand so well after only 10 minutes.

    I've struggled for 2 days now to sculpt a face for my character that I've drawn plenty of times in 2D, but doing it in 3D having to worry about every angle, but still get the look I want for any one angle, presents such a tremendous challenge. Honestly it's still not done, and I can see evn more so now after watching your vid. A very educational vid, and your humor made it not a chore to sit through. Thank you very much friend 👍

    I was skeptic when I clicked on the video. But I think you changed me from a box modeling, low poly to high poly, subdivision guy into a sculptor. I've watched sculptors before... their seemingly impeccable knowledge of anatomy has intimidated me. not saying that anatomy isn't important because of course it is. But for some reason your video here has made it more approachable in my brain. Thank you for the techniques.

    This is beyond perfect!
    I've been struggling for a long time to sculpt heads, basically only way I could do it was to put ref inside zbrush with spotlight, but I knew on the long run this would just hold me back so I started to learn actual proportions, face planes, etc. I have a basic undestanding of proportions, it made sense in my head but not in the zbrush head (bad pun intended), so yeah I was suffering from self esteem because I couldn't sculpt a head...
    Then I decided to "follow" this, yeah I was kinda rushing it, but for a rough attempt I was able to actually make sense of these proportions in the zbrush head.
    Thank you very much!

    Your humbleness overshadow your artful skill. Some artist dealing with the male/female anatomy go so high up that they believe they are Gods. Awesome knowledge of the distinctive features of the face anatomy. Thank you much for sharing your knowledge. I was just roaming around on this moonlight hours for something edifying to see when I caught sight of a familiar face features of a friend i knewed and stayed up right through until I was pop back to earth when the video ended. Thank you much for sharing your knowledge with others. We just try to emulate the art of the greatest artist there is: The true God.

    • @SpeedChar
      @SpeedChar  5 років тому +7

      Thank you. I don't know if some artist think of themselves as gods, but i know that part of our artistic searches and urges is the inner desire to feel more like a creator. Create our own creatures, worlds. To recreate life from simple objects, to give life even, however arrogant this may sound :). But the true dedicated artist will always know that he has a lot more to learn, and that there is always room for improvement. And that is also one of the most interesting parts of being an artist, the constant seek for improvement. So we are never completely happy with our work :).
