      I don't know any history or schools so I don't think they matter that much. Drawing always helps, though I know good 3d sculptors that can't draw at all. When you finish do you delete step 1 sphere sculpt layout outline when you're finished to use for animation? Have you made hair in blender before if yes is it easier to create stylized hair in ZBrush or blender?

    • @SpeedChar
      @SpeedChar  2 роки тому

      Stylized hair is not easy to create in either software :). But it will be easier in the software you know better. And why should i delete the high poly. I just export the low poly away for texturing.

    • @Sgirlie755
      @Sgirlie755 2 роки тому

      @@SpeedChar Nevermind I got confused while watching so many videos. You don't because you sculpted and made the hair on the sphere. But some people apply hairbrush strands over the sphere sculpt, that's when you delete the sphere right? I guess I want to animate the character for animation and I worry about the poly count lol. I'm using blender right now and I find it difficult placing hair without overlapping and leaving holes and gaps in between so that's why I'm wondering which software would be easier :)

    Great video as always...
    I don't mean to criticize but i think that i see an "issue" pretty common with people that don't do a lot of stylized characters (not really a mistake depending on the style, but artists that do more realistic character tend to do it more)... and a really easy one to fix.
    Usually for a realistic or semi realistic character, the mouth is aligned with the middle of the eyes (more or less), but when characters have bigger eyes (stylized characters), following this rule can result in a pretty big mouth, which may or may not be what you are looking for... but if you follow (or imagine) the natural path and angle of the nasolabial fold, and use as a reference to get an approximation of where the mouth should start, the characters usually look a bit more appealing.
    Just my two cents.
    I hope i don't get a lot of hate for that lol....
