@@allhailchelle Call me wacky, but "1,000 and under" is most definitely not considered cheap when you don't live in a major city. Makes sense for Houston though, now that I think about it lol.
This is the reality of living in Houston. I keep seeing so many people talk about how affordable it is.. I mean I guess compared to NYC or LA but I just saw someone talking about how they can’t wait to move to Houston because Atlanta is so expensive and there’s barely anything under $1100. I feel like they’re going to have sticker shock in Houston because it’s about the same. The cheaper places you can bet you’ll have a lot of maintenance issues or pest problems that’ll run you off the property.
THANK YOU THANK YOU. I have been looking for videos for a while now and no one will actual list the names of areas and give a review. You are awesome. Thanks again
@Tetsuo Abe it’s a good mixture of people and depending on where you live in the EC you maybe still zoned to katy isd which has really good schools that are diverse. I would say overall it is a very diverse area.
@@eemandii1 to be fair I’ve been living in the same complex for 6 years so my rent barely goes up. But since covid I have noticed a step increase so I’m glad I love where I live.
I’m from Kansas City, MO moving to Houston. Through visiting Houston several times I’ve never ran into anyone from KC. Glad to know my KC folks are representing!! Go Chiefs!! Great Video! As a KC Native this has calmed my nerves. Thank you!
Girl you have no clue how much this video has helped me!!! 💃🏽 Omg thank you so much! 🤗 I’m taking a short trip there to check it out next week... I’m literally so excited! Hoping to look at a few apartments in some nice areas.... and enjoy Houston... any suggestions for fun things to do while I’m in town?
Wow you have the MOST INFORMATIVE VIDEO TGUS FAR! THANK YOU FOR THIS! I’ve watched a ton of these because I’m so confused on where to move. Coming out a abusive relationship and need a new start. So H-Town here I come! I’m nervous about everything but I’m hopeful and prayed up! I can afford your tier 2 but hoping for a nice tier 1 since I have got employment YET. Again thank you! Great video!
I wisht I could've seen this before I moved to Houston! Very informative, and I didn't know that fun fact about the Heights! Its so pretty there though I love the vibes
Thank you for this foreal! I’ve been looking hard and getting mixed reviews about where to stay. I’m looking for a mix between city convince but quiet at night and safe of course.
Thank you for all of this advice. Here is my problem, I’m moving from the north east and know no one in Houston. I’m not able to come visit before I move. I’m just wondering how I can ensure the apartment I am moving into is legitimate and in a safe area. My budget would align more for the westchase district but when I look up the apartments they all take about roach infestations and break ins in reviews. I’m a single young woman, I want a clean and safe area to live in. Not sure what to do. Help a girl out. :(
I would say to use Google Street view! I know it sounds kind of crazy but you can truly travel down the roads and check out what the neighborhoods look like. Also, anywhere in the city is going to be prone to break-ins! It’s actually pretty common unfortunately! Now, the infestations.. idk about that lol
I like this video better then anyone I’ve seen so far you talk about the prices, the neighborhood, jobs thanks I’m an cna looking for something affordable til I get situated after a year
Im from California..Im looking in a nice area price range $750-1300 2-4bedroom home to rent or apartments not to close to Houston city ? I'm trying to stay way from floods.
When I was doing research it said that the third ward is one of the most dangerous places in Houston. There’s a 1 in 13 chance of becoming a victim. Do you agree with that?
Third Ward is damn near gentrified lol. Crime can happen anywhere in any city. Third Ward isn't all that dangerous. Yes things happen in Cuney Homes and the bottoms but there are also a lot of nice homes and white people are moving there left and right. Dont believe the hype
Hi and thank you for this video and information, you are so helpful! Where would you recommend as the most walkable area of the city for restaurants and bars, I'm trying to narrow it down from afar! Thank you so much
Greenpoint gets busy lol ....I would say for Northside Humble and Spring. They give you a nice balance. Acres Homes has a lot of history but the lack of opportunities there has sucked the Black community dry and now it's pretty desolate
Thanks for the Information I'm looking for Tier 1 area affordable apartments, close too amenities, not bad area ,just nice too moderate I'm from Oakland SF Bay Area so I like diversity and Black Culture which I hear alot about ..
Midtown is basically downtown I 45 seperating the two. Third ward toomany junkies, memorial city is not apart of Houston, greenway upper kirby should been the best pick, montrose ehh, the heights are north of I 10 south south of 610 no where near midtown.
My problem is I want a high rise apartment for $500 😂😂😂😂
Me too with a bell hop for groceries, etc😂😂
Exactly!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol
Exactly me too 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me to lol
Great VID! I'm a local Houston Realtor and your video has explained the Houston mkt better than most real estate agents I know LOL! Great work!
Ahhhh! Thank you! I tried to break it down!
Hi. What’s a good school to attend to obtain my real estate license in Houston?
@@salenak32 Champions Real Estate School or Kaplan

Yes, sis! Agreed! Westchase, Spring Branch! 💕

I also lived in Westchase when I first moved here. That was almost 9 years ago. I spent most of my time in Houston in or near that area.
I live in the energy corridor and I love it. I have 2/2 1300 sq ft for less than 1300 a month.

Any recommendations for a black community based semi - luxury area ? This video was great btw and I love your makeup 😍
Great question. I want to know because I moved to another city apartment and it wasn't black professional female friendly
Third Ward is truly this! Which is basically downtown.
Or even Sugar Land!
I’m considering a move to Houston. I need to go back in person and look at the neighborhoods bc I’m so confused!
I know this video is a few years old. But I’m moving to Texas for 3-6 months but I’m not bringing my car. What area is great for transit and walking?

Tanglewood is a great place to live
i am from a small town, dover de where the population is 37,000 people. Any parts of Houston that may have that small town vibe or no
There are many sub-cities (Pearland, Sugar Land, Mo City, Baytown, Cypress, Hockley, etc.)
You should try Dickinson or Texas City
Yeah, move into the nice parts of Texas city.
