I am going to move to Houston, hopefully early next year. I saw some condos/townhouses online in Greater Uptown. Is that in downtown Houston? I would like to go to the beach. Is Uptown far from the beach?

So you have 2 questions... #1 Is Uptown/Galleria walkable to the point where you could get by without a car? - I would not say so... #2 Are there supermarkets within walking distance of the apartments? - It's a very large area, so that depends on where in the area do you live, but for the most part no. Houston is a very large and massive city. Rule of thumb is to purchase a car when moving here.
Do you only help with home buying? Looking for a realtor who could help me find a nice apartment within the month or so near the Texas medical center. I appreciate your honesty
