I test drive a c450 before quarantine but never ended up buying it once corona hit.. im thinking of getting a c43 when quarantine is up. Didn’t know that about the AC. Thank you for sharing this
@@TheBenzorNothing come on man, Honda Accords are good mainstream vehicles, quick and fun to drive. I would be offended about Mercedes being compared to a Toyota Camry however, pure vanilla mobiles.
V6 Honda accords are better than C300, in every way but handling only because German cars are the best for handling, but even still the handling is great. its not quicker than c450/c43, but if you’re looking at the c300 it’s something to keep in mind.
Hey so I had the issue with the AC smell as well. Mine came from the heat. Was able to figure out it comes from the heating coil inside the dash. It just needs to be taken out and put into a disinfecting solution. My dealer does it every so often when I ask. Won’t have to deal with the vomit smell anymore.
They had issues with the wrist pins breaking and destroying the engine basically and some reports of cracking pistons. They had a updated wrist pin starting in late 2015-2016 i believe but there's still reports of the same issue on the updated wrist pin engines. I would stay away from the 4cyl models in these.
Did you get a c63s? Why did you sell the c450? I bought my c400 after I watched you Long Term Review c450 video. Thanks for that! I love the car but I don't use the sport or sport+ that often. I get a decent mpg commuting to work everyday on Eco mode. I take back-roads so I don't need the car to changer gears in a higher rpm. I change to sport+ only on the weekends when I go out at night.
Great video.. I actually just upgraded from a c300 to c43... Unfortunately didn't get the performance exhaust option. Just want a tad bit louder, thinking of a resonator delete... Thoughts? Saw ure video on this, but wanted your opinion on just getting the resonator out. Also is it reversible if I want to sell? Thanks!
@@TheBenzorNothing after seeing a 2017 mercades e300 I honestly changed my whole opinion on c450. @@ramisandouka1513 c450 or c43 is going to hold its value better so in long run you won't be hit with depreciation as bad. Maintenance is the same on either. Low mileage will not have issues
I agree with you on all the comments you made on the c300 only if you don’t have it straight piped and tuned then the car becomes so much more responsive and the exhaust sounds just like an AMG
hey man, I have been in the market for a new mercedes for awhile now. I am looking to spend around 20k. With that, it looks like I could get a 2016 c300. I originally wanted a c43 or c63 but were way out of my budget. I just found out there is also a c400 and c450 model for the earlier years as well.. This changed everything. Do you know the difference between the 400 and 450 is it just the motor? Are there any other trims that I am missing out on? God, mercedes makes this complicated.
@@TheBenzorNothing thanks mate! You think it would be better to go for C43 instead of the C450 amg? Since it is "amg" (entry), so it maintains its value further as you mentioned? thanks again!

Just bought the C450 🔥

Absolutely man!
I love your channel name. You got hood taste my guyy😂😂😂
Do you recommend me buying an C450 with 70,000 miles?
Do you think that it will still be reliable at this point?
The C300 is the base Honda Accord or Toyota Camery of Mercedes. Just a sensible daily driver that looks nice and is comfortable.
You wildin comparing it to a Honda! I don't know about all that!

That's amazing! Thank you for the heads up!
What do you have hanging from the steering wheel at 0:07
Why did you blur out the speedometer on the on ramp?! Wanted to see that!
Have to go to "Mexico" for that!
Thanks for ur cool videos. I just got a c450 recently. The C450 has everything i wanted, is loaded with things. How can i get those pop ups in Sport+?
Agreed! It should have the pops. If not, just to a DME stage 1 or 2 tune

How unreliable has it been? I’m an American muscle guy looking at getting my first exotic... 2016 C450

is it true that c300s 2015 have a risk of breaking the cylinder, and why does your c300 sound good?

What MPG are you getting in ECO?
@@TheBenzorNothing 25 to 28 mpg commuting at around 35 to 40mph. The rpm stays really low 1400ish
That's amazing bro - I guess I don't have the self control for that. I couldn't better than 13mpg city and 18 highway
@@TheBenzorNothing Are you planning to do lowering springs in your c450? The H&R only drops 1.2". I'm still thinking.

Would delete res and exhaust and then if it's too loud get a quieter exhaust. The full delete is perfect and under normal exhilaration it's mild
Sooo IM HEARING IS GET A 450.. or 400?
great vid...what year was the c300?
19
Is the c450 an amg??
AMG in the beginning stages. Very few differences between the 16 and 17(17 is where they really called it an AMG)
How’s the stereo I hear a lot of people complaining about it going out or at one point very loud then dies out
The facelifted version is very good much better bass than the 17 and down versions. Loud and the bass is VERY good 18 and up
Looking into getting a c300 or c450 as a first car , great vid, although which would you recommend?
It’s all about the insurance, get some quotes.
Would you recommend Maybe perhaps Upgrading the c300 suspension to Coilovers???
H&R does an amazing job with just lowering springs. Would suggest that instead.
Is buying a used c450 nowadays that's over 40,000 or 60,000 miles already really bad to do? Especially cause I plan on driving a lot
Definitely smarter than a c63!! Best of both worlds with the c450 - fast but much better MPG then the 63

straight pipes! There's no other way!

Depends on the years. Basically yes, small horsepower difference and 9 speed transmission instead of the 7 speed.
