I remember being a very young teen in L.A. in the early 70's trying to sneak into a Led Zeppelin Concert. I remember the girls were screaming and even crying cuz they could not get in. I mean to the teens back then they were like gods.

I love Zeppelin and I love watching you guys react to it for the first time. Their hayday was a little before my time but I discovered them in high school and they have been my favorite ever since!!! All 4 are so talented and bring so much variety.
I SAW THIS SHOW!! ❤❤❤ When I was 17 in 1973, cruisin' NYC from DC with my Homies, we unexpectedly acquired 4 leftover Will Call tickets for $10 at MSG Arena 10 minutes into LED ZEPELLIN's concert. As we entered, they were just starting BLACK DOG, one of most cherished LZ songs then. Now, this iconic song always triggers that life changing moment. COOL Reaction! I know it's impossible to comprehend how NEW, FRESH & original they were in the late 60s & early 70s.
You guys are great, and I think you realize Rock and Roll is not just noise, and why, even now, 45 years after the death of John Bonham, and the breakup of Led Zeppelin, you STILL see t-shirts, posters, bumper stickers, and other merchandise for Led Zeppelin!

You have yet to do one of the best live performances of Zepplin. Since Ive Been Loving You Live at Madison Square Garden. I've asked a couple of times. Nothing short of Astounding.
The band all stayed at a old estate called Headley Grange, to focus on written & recording music. The place didn’t have heat or running water, so they were roughing it. The song isn’t about the dog that roamed around, they couldn’t think of a name, so paying tribute to the 4 legged companion hence the name. PS the used The Rolling Stones mobile recording studio. Bonham’s great drumming sound for When The Levee Breaks, was recorded in the 3 story entrance hall of the place. Other bands have tried getting that rich sound, even recording there, but they didn’t have Bonham playing them. Thank you as always. Ollie not sure what has you down, I know what has me down today, Led Zeppelin always boosts my mood even if only a little.

And. I think I was 12. My teenage friend brought me to it! And I did loved it! ❤😊 NYC kids like me grew up young.
Bonham is at the top in terms of influencing a ton of drummers that came after him, like Tool's Danny Carey. Neil Peart of Rush is of course considered among the best as well. But Bonham's grooves were unbeatable. And yes, Fool in the Rain, as someone else mentioned, is a must listen.
John Bonham has influenced more drummers than anyone besides Buddy Rich(the GOAT) He has been in the spot light since before Zep's first album in 1968/69. Ollie has to watch Moby Dick from The Song Remains The Same in MSG. (same concert as from the above vid) He was one of the first drummers to keep with the guitarist not the bass player. He took drums to another level. He knows when not to play, and when to come in like thunder. I hope Ollli will hear his 5 piece drum set genius. RockOn guys!

Do a double feature of Since I've Been Loving You. First the studio, then the live version from 1973 Madison Square. You'll love it. Also the studio of Over The Hills And Far Away. And Dyer Maker and Fool In The Rain.
Yep in almost all cases the Led Zeppelin material better to hear studio first. Not that they weren't brilliant live. Just a cleaner and clearer sound, the band could sound quite rough live (in a good way). Possible exception Since I've Been Loving You which is a little more flat on the album and really does come alive, live! But hey it's the mighty Zeppelin, it's all good.
seen them in st Louis mo in 1977, they were at a rather large mansion type farmhouse/studio in the countryside and the black dog would come up to them when they were sitting outside each day, as they were finishing the song they were talking about what the title of the song would be, I think it was jpj who while looking at the black dog said let's call it black dog and so it was, that's the only thing the black dog had to do with the song
Achilles Last Stand live at Knebworth (1979), or the studio where Page does 12 guitar overdubs, is an amazing drumming song. Live at Earls Court May 25,1975, In My Time Of Dying is one of their greatest live performances. An old gospel song, & they pay it great respect, Page plays the hell out of a slide guitar , & the other kill it too. There’s 2 versions, the best one has been up 12 years & is 12 minutes & 4 seconds long. The other has some damage to the video. I hope to see both songs.

Seeing them perform for those not of the era add so much still in their outfits and still not some extra short cut version either. Point being hearing and seeing adds a element for a reaction video I prefer.... we all can do the album and some who do both merely get that extra bang of $$$. Same for those live from Chicago to the Who and others from old TV episodes also are a treat to appreciate.
Love Zeppelin, always have BUT in my opinion, I enjoy listening to the Studio Albums much, much better than the Live stuff... that's just me :) Rock on!
