@@wildbearings I am planning to. Being in FL, while the fish are plentiful, it is IMO boring as hell. I grew up fishing streams but have not cast a line in several years.
@@gregjr63 I caught 1 nice keeper right off the batt and realized I forgot a stringer. Lol It happened so quick I figured I would let it go and get my stringer then catch more.. never had another bite lol
Wow, thanks for tip on a PFD. Honestly, it's probably just a good idea fishing any big water - especially tailwaters. Also, I pity the fool that doesn't have a wading stick. I've never met a person who stopped using one. Macy, I loved what you said about leaving the water with regrets being what brings you back. That definitely resonate with me.
Man I'd give anything to see the hooch and fish for shoal bass before Lanier construction.
right! but you know there are still areas for that... we don't really do that, but you know it would be a blast...
Headed up this week. Between the fall foliage starting to kick in and the fishing I cant wait
Have a great trip!

I’ve caught trout in Lake Lanier.
Yeah they can exist if those ole stripers don't find them first... thanks for the feedback
Have you guys ever fished Jacks River or The Taccoma River in North Georgia? Love your posts.
Absolutely at least once a year for Jacks and we fish Toccoa tail water quite a bit… love the Jacks thanks

What flies were you using besides the moonshine midge?
Big T MacDaddy dry and it started raining so used #20 jig BWO and then olive orange collar perdigon… hope that helps thanks for the question
I fish that stretch often. I've had good success this summer with a stimulator/ bead head simulator.
Nice great feedback thanks for sharing… hadn’t thought about Stimulator perfect approach
