2:28 as his right leg “fishes” to get a connection. You hook with your right leg, and your knee must be on the ground, ie, your knee must not be behind his thigh. 3:12 you must “hook” his right leg with your foot 3:26 one way to arrange your “hook” 3:38 Ryan halls method of arranging the connection 4:00 various control points during the “roll” 4:13 what’s most impt is getting his hip to the floor 5:38 here it is from the quarter guard 6:21 from half guard with an underhook 7:06 guy gets “heavy” so attack calf slicer
Awesome as always! If anyone is interested in aarons underhook counter, he has an awesome top half series on it that has helped me tons. So much detail with getting above partner, pinning hand, fine back step details etc . Thanks again aaron
Hey Aaron - is the difference between the truck and the rolling back take you showed in your other video simply the leg positions? This one feels more like a twister hook, and the other is shin behind the knee (like a berimbolo ish)
Christian Gin I think they are all extremely similar and it’s small details that differentiate them. For example the truck from a 10th planet perspective has a lot of control on the second leg and is used to do a lot of submission and enter the twister. The common thing they all share is the hook used is essentially just “a first back hook.” You can use this variation to adjust and do the traditional “truck,” just take the back, or do my favorite, set up the rolling leg drag. Hope this makes sense 😂

Jacob Zavitz thanks so much! This fits right in with the under hook back step passing series. It’s a combination of attacks I use daily!

Alex Drastico haha hope! Soon enough, it’s dark brown, I’ll post when that day comes about it!
Great details man!
Trey Greason thank you!
