I don't carry my Helinox Zero in the bag, just in the backpack. I'm resisting Dyneema bags, not just for the cost, but a Ziplock freezer bag gets the job done for the small stuff and weighs less.
I too bought a lot of gear over the holidays this year. (much more than normal) Summer quilts, hammock & accessories, tarp, car camping tables & chairs, backpacking fly rod, multipurpose groundcloth, etc.... Ocean State Job Lots recently had some Reebok down pants for $25 (msrp $200) Was tempted, but passed on them. The foam seat is nice. I picked up a Z-seat long time ago. It's makes a big difference.
I buy dyneema because I ove the smell and feel and look of it. Not to mention the weight savings and a huge factor is the fact it doesn't absorb hardly any water weight
Someone gettin REAL bougey with the dcf! 😂 Welcome to the Plex Solo club! 🙌 Yeah the # of stakes is crazy but 6 min as usual. Glad u didn’t go with the zip. I have a couple of those sit pads but quickly switched to the OV one for the extra oz. It’s so much larger and you can use it for more purposes on trail and at camp. The weight of the paca is just too much to justify it not stankin. Would rather have 2 shirts that are still less weight and the same price as 1 of these. Not sure how to use either. As a base layer or mid-layer? Senchi or Lightheart gear have the Alpha material that gets the chill off for a 4oz large mid-layer. Nice vid Taylor!
Thanks Dave. The weight only has been hard to notice if that makes any sense. I’m only planning to use it more for camp and morning hikes. Idk man as much as I like the looks of the others too I’m really excited about this one. I’ll report back later in the year. lol
Don't cheap out on tent stakes get the msr groundhogs. If you find yourself in soft ground some of the normal pegs will pull out in wind. I have the dupelexl the big version because I'm a giant. I started with inferior pegs and they sucked
That z packs sit pad is a made in China one I have the exact same one and I cost 2 dollars. They just label it and slap a silly price on it. The one I have is completely identical
Love my HTP chair bag especially when it’s raining to keep my chair dry & nothings better than sitting in my dry chair in my alpaca hoody…. Great upgrades!!!!! You’ll love them both
Still got it Kevin! Been using it on solo trips mainly on my local trail. I bought a second under quilt for the summer and added some upgrades! I promise to get a trip video in it this year!
I got some down pants by Goosefeet Gear ... hadn't used them yet but can't wait to do so. Also picked up a 5deg sleeping bag too! Oh and extra ditty bags by Ultralite Sacks! :) Hopefully the rain curse doesn't carry over to your new tent ☔
Dude i have those pants they kick ass. Went overnight ice fishing with a buddy during the arctic freeze a few weeks ago where it reached -15°f and first night i got a little cold in my down sleeping bag while wearing a down jacket and a extra down alternative blanket but second night i slept without the bag cause I put the pants on.
Do they make the hoodie in a nude color or see through (asking for a friend)? Good stuff buddy! You go to bed right after dinner these days, Grandpa? 😂
The App Gear Hoody really does not breathe well. You get hot, or cold. Really not good at regulating temp. I've been more comfortable in things like Patagonia Capilene Air, Senchi/Alpha-Direct, Knitted wool, Merino Wool, even most fleece hoodies. AppGear Hoody looks great, very soft. Breathability not good from my experience.

Using mesh bags here
I’m crazy about organizing all my gear and zip lock bags scare me too much of breaking. To each their own though dude. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely!! Thanks Mark!!
I got an Appalachian Gear hoodie last year, and it's great. I was worried the wind would cut right through it, but it performed surprisingly well.
I’m excited to put it to use!
Nice gear additions! Good pick on the Plex Solo. I just purchased the Offset Solo and pretty excited about trying it out.
I saw your post!! I liked that one too but couldn’t justify because it weights the same as my Xmid. Haha
Taylor what ever happened to the hammock setup you bought? Did you get rid of it? Curious about what your experience was trying it out.

Interesting - regarding the puffy pants! I'm soooo temped to get a Plex Solo. Unfortunately, no new gear this year...
See you around brother,
JBEN
Come on man we could be 4 strong in them this summer!!
Looking forward to seeing what you get up to this year! I hope to get an overnight in at FDR this month.
Awesome!! Love some time on the PMT!
good call on the puffy pants.
💪🏻💪🏻
I was looking at the Plex solo but is there enough head/foot room for someone six foot one with a 3 inch pad?
Let me get back to you Greg! I’m 6’ exactly. So I’m close lol
love my appalachian gear hoody!! it's hard to take off lol. mostly excited about my new tent the portal 1.
I’m so excited to use it!! And I haven’t heard of that one man!
Great video, thanks 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! Great gear. Hope
You like that tent. Crow✌️
Thanks dude! I’m excited!

That’s awesome!! I still love all of my ultralights sacks!!!
That bag would work just fine for a first aid kit
Ah not for me man.

Man I’m excited to use them!
I really hope to take a trip with you and all the Kentucky boys this year. Thanks for the upload bro!
That would be awesome!
Ey nice tent. I've been eyeballing some ultralight tents lately to maybe save up for.
I’m hyped to test it out!!
Nice vid. 😊
Thanks!
GREAT video my friend
Thank you!!
Some really nice gear you got there man!! J & C
Thanks guys!
I just bought a dyneema quilt and also a dyneema sleeping pad. Now every single piece of gear I own is made of DCF.
The Dynema cook pot is awesome.
😂🤣😂🤣
Thursday, February 01st: Some good gear decisions. Good luck. Here's wishing you every success! Happy Trails! Ross08
Thanks man!!
Use the little red first aid kit as a wallet.
I like it 😎😎
I just found pair of $230 Black Diamond down pants for $3 at Goodwill
Heyyy! Freakin excellent deal!
Do they make the hoodie in a nude color or see through (asking for a friend)? Good stuff buddy! You go to bed right after dinner these days, Grandpa? 😂
😂😂😂 I get tired on a high mile day dude.
Dyneema is loud and feels cheap js
I for sure get it can be loud in some cases but after years of use it’s for sure durable.
