I noticed it's quite common in the US even for people that have simply committed a traffic infraction. Many people that appear on these types of shows, even those that are criminals, often don't have a drivers license on them and it seems like it's the most normal thing in the world. Seriously wtf, if you are going to go drive your car you have your drivers license with you it's that simple.

All these Live PD snippets are addicting! This one in particular reminds me of a similar story my uncle G ( a retired State Trooper) told me and my brother over dinner some years ago.
Great TS Trooper. This is the reason Troopers, Highway Patrolmen, State Police are better than city and deputy; great verbal, demeanor, in shape, and amazing police work.
Roid Rhino I’d be the best at stopping cars as well if that was literally the only thing I was required to do 😂. Put a trooper in the middle of a disturbance or a shooting and they won’t even know where to start the paperwork.

However, as they do not take “normal” 911 calls for service unless they’re responding as backup for another agency, troopers are not required to have working knowledge of the paperwork side of your “standard” 911 calls, such as assaults, disturbances, etc etc.
