The Harry Potter author said she spoke up about transgender issues because she believes she is witnessing “the greatest assault of my lifetime” on women’s rights and would have “felt ashamed for the rest of my days if I hadn’t”

Ms Rowling has nothing to regret or apologise for she, spoke clearly and loudly long enough ago. Her voice has been an important one, you can tell by the number and length of the attacks upon her good name. There are exemption in the equality Act in certain circumstances where exemptions can be applied to protect and/or promote females sex based rights so the protected characteristic of sex. Problem is some people are acting as though there isn't. Logic dictates this aspect of the law will be clarified.

Been fighting this since 2019. It’s been dreadful, never experienced anything as frightening as this assault on women’s rights despite working in all male workplaces for years in the 80’s which could be hard going. I’d swap back to those times rather than today’s horrors being thrown our way.

Both of these women are heroes. Kellie-Jay for relentlessly campaigning on this issue. Julia for raising awareness in the media. I am so grateful I found Julia’s breakfast show during lockdown. A voice of reason in that time of madness. She asked parliamentarians questions that others in the media would not dare whilst most of the media were towing the line and suppressing opposing views.

What is 'transphobic'? Not believing that anyone can be 'trans' - sex is immutable. Therefore I'm transphobic and proud to be so.
Phobia is an uncontrollable, irrational, and lasting fear of a certain object, situation, or activity (is coming from the greek word phobos). I don't think JKR is afraid of anything..

And his modus operandi, was to pretend to be injured to appeal to women’s desire to help, and then murdered them. Protections for women needs to be prioritised! I'm in agreement with Julia and Kellie-Jay on this issue, as I'm sure most of the population, men and women are, to about 99% of us all. I've got some issues with Kellie-Jay's, and Helen Joyce's approaches, though, which require further explanation from them.
1. There is, in both of their discourses, a tendency to portray (all) men as predators, such as with regards to the issues of trans m-f gaining access to female only spaces. If you're going to claim that language needs to be precise, then that precision needs to be applied to this issue as well. It is ONLY trans male to female persons attempting to gain access to female only spaces that are a predatory risk to women - not all men.
2. There is a tendency to use the word "misogyny" aimed at the trans m-f, with a loose association to applying it to all men. Again, that seems like a deliberate linguistic tactic to slur all men. Linguistic precision is required if women want to have the support of right-minded men in addressing this issue.
3. There is a feminist approach to dealing with this issue coming from Kelie-Jay and Helen. However, this whole trans issue is itself born from feminist ideology. Further, if you look carefully at the activism supporting this ideology, and you only have to look at the video of the march/rally clip shown in the video to see an example of this, 80% of the activists are feminist WOMEN. So, if anything, the misogyny is internalised female misogyny. Would Kellie-Jay or Helen like to try and explain this?
