- TalkTV's Julia Hartley-Brewer clashes with journalist and presenter Shivani Dave over the use of different pronouns.
It comes after a review said children have been let down by a lack of research and "remarkably weak" evidence on medical interventions in gender care.
The Cass Review, published on Wednesday by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass, calls for gender services for young people to match the standards of other NHS care.
She says the "toxicity" of the debate around gender meant professionals were "afraid" to openly discuss their views.
NHS England says it has already made significant progress in making changes.
The Cass Review, which looked at gender identity services for under-18s, was commissioned by NHS England in 2020 after a sharp rise in the number of patients referred to the NHS who were questioning their gender.

I love this news reporter...we need more people like her to get the new generation minds back to a healthier state. You can’t “affirm” an anorexic because affirming their belief would be harmful to the individual. If you affirm that they are “fat” when they are in reality extremely poorly nourished and need to eat and drink, then they will continue to do their same behaviours. Affirming an anorexic is directly harmful.
However, being considerate and using pronouns to the best of your ability, just like trying to use someone’s preferred nickname instead of their whole legal name, is not harmful to the individual in any way.

And to counter your other point, 'they' as a singular pronoun grammatically correct and has been used since 1375 to describe an individual person of unknown gender. I totally agree. We accepted gays and lesbians increasingly, and even tran. It was going well. Now the constant demands and authoritarianism has been bared naked.
