You can even order a bottle of prosecco with your chippy tea if you’re eating in their comfortable dining area.
As well as the classics and some remarkably good pies, there are inventive seasonal specials like deep-fried Christmas pud, and all-year treats such as mushy pea fritters which - allegedly - cure even the worst of hangovers.
