- I wanted to share 10 upgrades I've done on my Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL RC truck. These are in no particular order, and have just been fun or practical upgrades I've done over the first few months with my Slash 4x4. This was excellent! I am running Spectra firma. Everything you presented here I'm going to acquire. I have pretty much turned my 4x4 into a ultimate if not better! That cover is ideal for me. Mine kicks up so much dirt and dust that it's ridiculous😊

My Slash is 2 weeks old and it looks like an antique compared to yours. I needs to stop jumping rock piles.
Neighbor bought this for his 9yr old son. Their first rc!! Came home from rc bash session and heard distinct new rc car sound in neighborhood that didn't come from me! It's orange, fast, 3s lipo was way too fast for both of them!!

But... why didn't you change the drive shafts to ones that can handle the 3s LiPo I am seeing in there?
the car can already handle 3s lipos RTR
I run 3s batteries on my bone stock Slash. No issues
im assuming this setup is for bashing not racing?
You need a T bone skid plate to protect your servo

When there’s stock brushed 4x4 slash parts on a vxl slash, must be that upgrade system

the dustcover is the biggest waste of money ff youre motor gets to hot and it doesnt protect that good
Great Vid! I have a Slash 4x4 VXl, and would like to do these upgrades. Did these upgrades affect the weight/speed?
The upgrades mainly improve handling and durability- but I wouldnt necessarily say speed. The aluminum parts do add weight, so I would recommend using these sparingly. If you convert all your parts to aluminum then youre going to end up with a heavy slash!

Word, I was confused too.
But I do like the idea of the cooling fins on the motor! Might have to get that part coming.
The only thing u need to do to any slash is throw the SLASH in the TRASH (I rhymed lol) and buy a losi or team associated. That is the number one thing to do
