Ranking Every Minigame in Yakuza (0 - Kiwami 2)

- I’ve been on a disgusting Yakuza binge so I might as well put it to use and rank all of the minigames because I’m pretty sure that’s a better use of my time. I’ll probably do all of the games but I have to play those first.

The Yakuza series is a rich illustration of Japan's gaming culture. A celebration of gaming as a whole, from the traditional, to arcade, to the modern. Seeing all of the minigames in this video shows how far games have come. Thanks, Stun.
This is so underrated, The Algorithm didn’t pick this man. I’ll try to support you bro
Thanks man, really appreciate it. Honestly, the vid did better than I thought lol. But yea, just gotta keep making videos and pray to the UA-cam gods
@@StunClubSoda You should make more videos, I love your format
Cabaret club minigame in the kiwami 2 is the best. It's pretty addictive😆
I struggled through Mahjong in Kiwami, but man, things really clicked for me playing it in Kiwami 2. I couldn't stop playing it, clearing all the possible stories and goals when I was only a couple chapters into the game. I was really sad when it ended. Been actually thinking of buying a real set of my own...but then I realized that the odds of finding three people to play it with me are slim to none.
There's always things like mahjong soul too. That's what I ended up doing
You know the karaoke minigame is a masterpiece when it single-handedly makes thousands of people play the games.
I'd love to see how popular kareoke is in another 10 years time when the Yakuza playerbase no longer have freakish lightning fast reflexes to hit those combos - you can kind of see it happening in like a dragon where the minigames are much more simple and fun rather then extreme frustration.
You have to do a part 2 of this video covering other yakuza games!
As someone who plays mahjong with his grandparents, playing it in Yakuza actually helped me become a better player and I can actually beat some of them now compared to before.
I also my grandma sometimes plays it when I’m off at work because she saw me play it one time.
You deserve more views brother, commenting for the algorithm
It's a sad world we have come to where we have to beg a computer to upvote good content beyond all the spammy trash that the algorithms promote ahead. If course, if UA-cam actually had a decent search engine it wouldn't be necessary but apparently they would rather leave the site looking like it is still 2006 forever and have evil machines force everyone to look at only what they tell you.
also yes the song for dressing up the platinum girl is so good i have it saved on spotify LOL
I liked that one+ the fever music is fantasticly catchy and adds a lot of thrill to the services.
Came here to confirm that catfights would be last and was not disappointed.
It might be random but at least it's not as horribly frustrating as the UFO catcher or requires freakish millisecond reflexes like batting or kareoke, or in depth knowledge of board/card games that don't really exist outside of Japan. I didn't care much for catfight club but I'd put several minigames below it.
Cabaret club was fun and all but I’m a simple person. Kiryu’s real estate is perfect for me as I just love collecting money, seeing big numbers, and then just messing around in kamurocho for a couple minutes before going back for another dopamine hit.
Its addicting to watch your money accumulate
I get what you mean, caberet you still have to work for your money even after beating the questline while real estate is nice fast passive income which doesn't require beating obnoxiously tanky shakedown men over and over. It would have been nice if you had the option to auto run the caberet club once you have taken over the town and finished the girls side quests. I do agree it is a great mini game though, and even though it's fast paced it is totally fair unlike a lot of others
One of my favorite things to do in Yakuza 1 ( PS2 Version ) was go to the hostess clubs. Trying to get to know them & stuff. I was kinda distraught how they took that feature away in Yakuza 3. ( well at least the North American version ) Yakuza 4 kinda brought it back, but not really. Instead, we were introduced to hostess maker. ( which would later appear in Yakuza 0 Kiwami & Kiwami 2 ) I also miss playing at the pachinko parlor in the earlier games.
dang sega wants to have fun for us yakuza kiwami 2 is just so fun
I find batting in 0 to be infuriating. I did kind of love Mahjong though, I appreciate that they included such a complex game.
My favorite of the gambling was probably cee-lo; cabaret club is untouchable though!
I strongly dislike pool in yakuza zero and the dancing in the club mini game is absolutely infuriating- that little character you move inside the grid is so easy to get them to bump into the wall or something and just screw your rhythm all up every single time.. not to mention how it’s played to begin with!?
Oh should have been pulled back on the right stick and how hard you push the right stick forward determines the strength of the shot??? I even put this in my review that I could not believe that they messed up our pool should be played on a game controller
Pool isn't much fun - the puzzles are far too hard, requiring millimeter accuracy, and if you play any NPC's be prepared for them to sweep the table clean like a professional. Disco could have been fine but it feels like they tried to be clever with the coding and messed it up so it doesn't really play properly - it should have just been moving and and hitting the squares as they light up without any of this steps or timing nonsense.
Well I commented on this video already but cannot find my comment nowhere???
Pool should be pulled back on the right stick and then how hard you push the right stick forward determines how hard you hit the ball not just pull back and release??? Couldn’t believe they messed us up
It might be me seeing red after hours of Mahjong. But I was surprised it was number 2. Idk how but the AI kept Ron-ing me and the game just began. Idk how or why but the game is stacked heavily in the AIs favor and it gets irritating. Real life the game is a blast to play tho.
0’s and Kiwami’s mahjong is a hard game due the AI, it’s very aggressive and very skilled at the game that even if you know how to play it, it’s going to take a little skill, the amount of times the ai got a double riichi in my game is astounding, K2 is a fair version of mahjong and the one i most enjoyed with a nice hud
I wish you would’ve mentioned what game virtual on is in!?
I’ve put in over 300 hours in yakuza zero and still not found that game..
From what I remember it happens from befriending the Sega girl as majima
@@gorogorgochan7562 Thanks I’ll check that out!?
@@turismofoegaming8806 OH WAIT I mixed it up with super hang on, virtual on is exclusive to kiwami 2
@@gorogorgochan7562 OK cause I was wondering??
I’ve made it a good ways into yakuza zero and have played close to 300 hours!!!
And the only Yakuta games I own are zero, Kiwami and Kiwami2!!
I’ll definitely check it out whenever I finally get to Kiwami2??? They’re such long games man that you could spend an entire year, starting with yakuza zero and then that whole year you might not ever get through all of them!!!
They’re amazing games!
idc what anyone says, sunshine hostess club is the best mini
100% agree, a lot of players can't understand it so give up without trying but it actually has great tactical depth and the side stories with the hostess girls make them feel like real people, not just random NPC slaves to do your bidding, so you really want to win for them.
The way you pronounced Baka Mitai hurted my soul
Majima-Chan!!!!!!!!
How much you wanna bet karaoke is at 1
Dang karaokes at 3rd I personally put it at 1st
I think the darts in Kiwami 2 is the worst of the series for me, it gets way too easy, Y0 it was more challenging but also way more satisfying when you win, Y6 I put slightly ahead of YK2 because of the Paul Lim side story
about JCC, Tiebreakers are outright RIGGED so sometimes you legit just dont have any shot to win.
Absolutely, the game will just decide that it's your time to lose. So annoying
i heard some tried tiebreakers with turbo controllers and lost, which is why its rigged@@StunClubSoda
You're wrong about Darts in 0, you have total control over it you just don't know what you're doing. ( No offense intended here just saying) Darts in 0 is all about having a steady hand and stopping the aim from moving and hover it perfectly over your target. I can get bulls eye over and over without fail. Our family loves playing two player as it is totally skill based. Cricket is the best version for us
I wouldn't say total control but quite a bit, like pool or bowling where it is mostly on target but sometimes you feel like you lined up a perfect shot and it went wide by a millimeter. I'd say upper mid to top tier in terms of fun.
I honestly thought the cabaret club minigame was boring.
I absolutely cannot stand the dancing minigame- I play drums and that shit is not on the rhythm at all-
Jesus christ i hate majhong with all my heart,
Lol, I promise its not that bad
I'm sure mahjong, shogi, koi koi etc are fine representative versions of the real life game but unfortunately the rules are strategies are quite complex and not really explained very well in game so if you didnt know how to play it beforehand the chances are you are not going to want to invest the hours into learning it just for a smalltime minigame with minimal rewards.
JCC is ridiculously bad and rigged, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't required to do 10 for the achievment and the AI didn't cheat.
Yea, trying to play it for the completion was basically torture
AI cheats in most RNG Yakuza games - casino is horrendous, only poker is remotely fair and playing any mini game against an NPC they always come at you with God mode engaged and win mercilessly.
Yep 4
had to check if next game up from 0 had disco mini game as I will not buy this product if it does have that trash mini game. Show me a real life disco where you have to match shape prompts into squares to dance properly. Also had to bleech my ears after listening to the horrible music that you have to mash square prompts into with less than a .5 second reflex time for each promit. Just yuck! Perhaps if these games are out for PC just use Hacks to by pass that awful mini game called "disco". Tootles!
