As a half English half Kurd, thank you so much for uploading this. I can confirm that Iraqi Kurdistan is VERY safe to visit. I think it's important to clarify the "bad shit" that Lucas was referring too: In terms of terrorist attacks - there are none. I believe what Lucas was referring to is the fact that the government are becoming increasingly more oppressive. You can't speak badly about the government in public because, as Lucas said, bad shit happens. The Kurdish people are THE most hospitable, and quite literally the nicest people on the planet, and i encourage you all to try and visit if you can. :)

You are walking around Erbil, the birth home of my husband. I love Erbil! The people are some of the nicest and most loving people I have ever known! Welcome to my home away from home! I am so happy you are visiting!
Thanks Melanie!

👍🏿😍😍😍
As a half English half Kurd, thank you so much for uploading this. I can confirm that Iraqi Kurdistan is VERY safe to visit. I think it's important to clarify the "bad shit" that Lucas was referring too:
In terms of terrorist attacks - there are none.
I met some very kind Kurds in Turkey who welcomed us into their home :) I will never forget it! I've met other cultures who are equally as kind, too. ;)
And the most racist, very kind but really racist.
Hey there! I am really got shocked after your vlogs and I am absolutely sure you have changed the mindset of a lot of people about Iraq
Your channel is so educational! I love it! I always learn so much!
Shula Oudean education time: did you know Americans fucked Iraq and the citizens of Iraq?
Traveling to Iraq is not only for tourism but for dining experience. Change the falafel, such as the covered state, the beja, the peas, eggs and many other foods. The advice of everyone who loves to visit Iraq is the first thing to try Iraqi food.
Greetings, Hussein, from Iraq🇮🇶

GODBLESS nick..t'was been long time since i last watch your video..thanksoooMUCH for this!💛💛💛
To be honest Literally, I am shocked a little bit as a person from Turkey. I was not expecting that such a beautiful area.
Thank you dear.
This is free Kurdistan 🙌 👏 ✨️
I think the Kurdistan region is much different than the rest of the country. It’s safer and generally more hospitable because not being affected by the American invasion and the Shia-Sunni rift after the invasion.
Kim Jong Trump it’s prosperous because of American liberation and security. That’s why they’re so grateful to Americans.
All the bombs you've dropped on us, obviously you wont be welcomed. 😂
hospitable
J X thank you
yes bit, people in south iraq are more hospitable
I've traveled all over the world, but avoided visiting the Middle East thinking, as an American, I would be a fool to do so. This looks like a spectacular place to visit. Great food, people, scenery. Thanks for changing percptions!

I wish you safe in that country, iraq here on the British government website advices against "all travel" to Iraq due to terrorism and the collapse of the Mosul dams apparently it's going to flood the whole country.
This isn't Iraq this is erbil the Capitol of regional Kurdistan which is completely different to iraq
Romeo kurdo isn't that the place where the chemical weapons were used on civilians?

Iraqi Kurdistan, lol, probably one of the safest places in the Middle-East (so not really crazy)

My parents are from Iraq and my mom was telling me back in the 70's and 80's. 1 Iraqi Dinar was worth $3.75! Crazy, how much has changed!
The UK used to borrow money and take knowledge / studies from Iraq back then it was the Dubai of the middle east... times have changed unfortunately
@Yaser Arzoqi I'm American and I hate America for what we've done to Iraq and so many other countries. I hope you understand not every American "supports US troops" I say FUCK US TROOPS, born and raised American and FUCK THE US ARMY, THEY DESERVE TO HAVE THE SAME DONE TO THEM. America deserves to have China going street by street and rounding up 'combat age males'. I hope you can make the best of what your country has after American troops FUCKED IT.
@sean grant yeah but the thing is majority of these men are signing up by them selves they not been forced into it. Admittedly a lot of them get tricked and told lies by the government it's a touchy subject I guess

This in no way offensive to anybody, why are people on UA-cam always so pissed off. Have a coffee and chill tf out man. Its easy to be rude on UA-cam, if u ever met me in real life, you wouldn't have the guts to say it to my face. Take your moods elsewhere, we happy people here.

I've went to Erbil before when I was in Iraq. I absolutely love the Kurds. Great video!!!
Why were you in Iraq?
@@joehoang4826 I was in the US Army and I got deployed over there during the war Operation Iraqi Freedom War back in 2003. I was in the initial push. While I was there my unit let me spend 3 days in Erbil for some R&R. My battle buddy and I had an armed Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers securing us around town anytime that we left the hotel. It was an experience that I will always remember.
Buckeyeboi Oh wow, this stuff is always crazy to hear. I can only imagine what memories you must have. Were you also stationed later on in Iraq? How do Iraqis compare to the Kurds? I had no idea that the Kurdish area was this safe. I was under the impression that it had been left to rot in a way and that troops had long pulled out.
Buckeyeboi we love you 2 🌞
@@joehoang4826 no I was never stationed there later on. Technically Kurds are Iraqis but they have their own culture, traditions, and way of life. However they live in the Northern part of Iraq which they call Kurdistan. Unfortunately the UN won't recognize them as their own separate country though. I think the Iraqi people as a whole are beautiful people, they were just oppressed by dictatorships for a very long time.
Welcome to Kurdistan, the people of Kurdistan are very good people, they are social people, I am in Kurdistan now but in another city. I am in a city called Sulaymaniyah .We love you, brother❤🤡❤
Im amazed on how different the picture of Iraq is when it is seen through the eyes of the media.... What an amazing country!

So beautiful and peaceful back then? When? They were in almost a 10 year war with Iran. Then subjected to harsh sanctions. Then another war that turned it into a complete disaster.

Iraq is actually one of the more stable, and out of large scale conflict countries in that region for like the last 3 years
