Misty I adore you and Liz but I just wanted to tell you how Beautiful you are! I mean you are gorgeous no doubt, but you are on the inside as well and I appreciate your time, kindness and creativity. 💙
I love everything you and MSQC share with us! Thank you for this fun Live! I enjoy watching your tutorials on UA-cam. I have learned so much. But I have so much more to learn. So keep on sharing, please. Thank.you🦩🤗💝
..
The trees and ribbons runners would also make easy/nice placemats also. I find a lot more patterns for runners than placemats and I have to figure out how to make them smaller. It's fun.
I was a bit disappointed at the beginning that there would be no tutorial BUT I’m really glad I watched! My brain is swimming with ideas of table runners (instead of quilts) for all those on my Christmas and birthday gift lists. Thank you ladies!
Your blouse is gorgeous. Trying to figure out how to make those sleeves 🤔
My fav runner is the Ribbon Dance. Will definitely be pulling up Jenny's video on that!
Hey, friends! Do you use table runners as decor between meals, or are they part of your table setting? Also, consider making your table runners reversible for a fun change.
I have made several with Insulbright so they work as hot pads too. I use them for holiday meals, but my daughter recently had a contest she had to cook on site so we included one just for her to have a big hot pad.
I use them when setting the table, so they're always 100% cotton as they work as a trivet for hot plates, bowls and the odd cast iron pan. I wish I could be one of those "decor" types, but nope things in my house have to be washable and usable lol. I have cats so if I just used them for decoration my cats would think I was awesome for leaving them a bed on the table.
Missing Jake; sending best.wishes🦩💝🤗
For Halloween, it would be so cute to use the black fabric that has the spider webs in it.
I missed the live because of work but during the replay I thought it would be cool on the house runner to print photos on fabric and applique the peoples' heads looking out the windows!
Fun idea!
The houses look like pacaman's ghosts 🤪
I just finished a table runner using your pkg batting table runner and it was so easy to use , loved it
The little houses also look like Minecraft characters so you could do a Minecraft character table runner for kids too.
I wish the commentator would be quiet. She is too distracting. Let the demonstrator demonstrate without interruption.
Black runners hide cherry pie stains well. How do I know? . . . ?
Such a cute top you're wearing, Misty. You always look so pretty. Great video. Thanks Misty and Liz 🧡
Not just dining tables, these would look great on coffee tables too, or hung above a mantel
I was thinking the same thing. Or on a buffet.

Who is that keeps interrupting worse than Jake when he was behind the camera
When I am trying a new block, I start with a table runner. It is great to know how you feel about the block. My next is the Flower Chain.
Lovely projects but I would like to have Liz on camera when we hear her talking.
I love the comment about making for everyone you love and then it becoming yeah just 2 folks. My mom and I really need to adopt that attitude lol. We started with 1 quilt to show our appreciation for my aunt putting up with us always crashing at her place. It has turned into a year long quilting fest accomplishing at least 15 quilts a year sometimes more and the list is ever growing.
The longer ones could also be bed runners to change up the look in the bedroom.
I always use 2 layers of insulated batting and it works great, especially on my Christmas ones. My friends and family love that they can put warm/hot things right on the runner.
They are also great to lay across the end of a bed as a decoration even when not on a table. :)
I never would have thought of that, normally I have a quilt at the foot of the bed but its a pain pulling it off and just leaving the one layer to keep the feet warm at night, but I don't want the quilt laying on the floor all night and day either. Thank you think I'm going to make a "bed" runner now 😁
Great selection of table runners. I have made a few and make them fancy with tassels on the pointed ends.👍🇦🇺
You should show the backs
I did the gifts of love runners for each of my 3 grown kids & their families last Christmas. Younger son in law looked at it & said he saw boxes of tissues, perfect for cold & flu season! Funny!
Thanks for the 'Runner Roundup' of 9 videos on UA-cam
The little houses look like pacman. Thx for the inspiration.
Please answer cuz I’m EXTREMELY interested: can you not put hot dishes on top of a table runner made without insulbrite? Like if I use regular batting I can’t put hot dishes atop? Thank you, and thanks for the video.
If the fabric is 100% cotton and the batting is 100% cotton you can use it for hot things like a trivet, though given that most furniture is made from mdf with a veneer or even plastic or a thick sticker on top, you wouldn't want to take it straight from the stove top to the table runner. And that's more for a condensation problem over directly a heat issue. Which is why it's recommended to use the heat guard fabric which also prevents condensation from going through and well steaming off whatever finish your table top has. Now if you plated everything it might still condensate some, but it won't have the steaming action going on with it, and if you let your pan cool a bit on the stove top you can also set it right on the runner.
My rule of thumb is ruled by the thumb, if I can touch it and not drop it to run the hand under cold water while spitting explicitives its safe for the table top on the runner 😉 even if its still pretty hot to me but I'm also really sensitive to heat so if you're the type like my husband who checks if a pan is to temp by touching it while the burner is on... don't make that your rule lol and just use the heat guard between your cotton
@@namaking3993 Thank you very much, that makes absolute sense. Condensation never even occurred to me when they were talking on the video. 😊
Loved your table runner presentation...so many great ideas. Could you do a similar showcase of bed runners & use of etc? Thanks for all you share.
Roll them on pool noodle sections...secure ends with pins into the noodle. they will stack on a shel like cordwood!
Love the runners and your hair 👍👏🥰🌷
I enjoy making table runners and wall hangings because they usually get completed whereas quilt tops in my house do not!!
Misty is so energetic, much like her mom. Pleasure to listen to...
Wow Misty your new hair is gorgeous...
Lady off camera (Liz) should come out front…or stop interrupting!
Loved this! Got some ideas to use up those unused strips! Thanks 😊
Hey Misty and Liz from North Carolina!
MSQC gave a free pattern in mine when I ordered it!
I love the Insul-Bright tip.
Very cute table toppers!! Thanks for sharing!
Hello from Northampton UK. Thank you so much for all your tutorials. I have learnt so much from you x
Sometimes ignorance is bliss! I didn't know the rhombus was a tricky block when I made a cushion when I was 14 or 15. I did it as EPP though, so maybe that made it easier. Neither did I know that cross stitch with quarter and three-quarter stitches and shaded roses and leaves was tricky when I made my first cross stitch sampler a couple of years later! 😱
Loved this video!
A few years ago, my mom was stumped on what to get me for BDay & Xmas so I told her to make me 4 sets of runners for each season to decorate my buffet, table & island with. I now have fall, winter & summer runners and hoping to get a spring set this year. I want to make table runners for odd events such as birthdays, valentines, Canada day, etc and got a lot of inspiration from this video.
Friendship runner 2 was a nice one, it seems very versatile. I would never have thought to do the blocks with the rhombus on a table runner, nice. So right about hst's and if you get bored doing them one way, you can do them another with the same outcome and then arrange SO MANY ways. The leaves always say fall for me.
So far I’ve only made one table runner, and for the one block I learned how to hand piece hexagons into a flower and then hand appliqué the flower onto a background piece
Such a good point: have a planned stash. I thought I had good plans, but it went sideways a bit. Now I am trying to get through my unplanned stash!
Thanks! 🌺😊

I loved these. I am working in a patriotic table runner now with sawtooth stars.
