Very nice detailed look at how everything was done in the previous "watercolor sketchbook" video. Now I actually understand how these books were put together! Thanks.....

Love your care for detail and precision with your binding. I love doing sketch books. Do you tear your paper to size to keep the deckled edges. Beautiful books.

It's a FB marketplace find! I have been searching on and off for flat file drawers since I moved to LA a few years ago. This was a rare find that I jumped on. Otherwise you can usually purchase them new from art supply stores online, but they're quite pricy.

This video might help, at about 20:00, she starts adding the cover to her signatures and it's Coptic stitch. Good luck :)

I just had a question: why does all you're books that you do the bookbinding have that kind of printed papers? I mean the dot's on it? What do you use the book
otebook for? Because all the notebooks that I had over the years only had lines in it, not dot's!

    • @carolcvargas1

hello, I don't know why she choose dots over lines or even squares, but I wanted to point out that the use of dots became very popular with bullet journals, they are made like that so that you can customize your jornal so it fits whatever purpose you intend to use it, like adding year overviews, then weeks and daily views, or even make costumizable pages for specific projects. you can also search pictures or videos of bullet journals to have an idea of how it's used, I'm not sure I explained it well 😅
