That focal point change at 6:46 tickled my brain😮 Your and your partners videos are works of art. The binding work, the quality of video and editing, the pace etc. is just perfect. Well done🎉
I would like to congratulate you on the extraordinary evolution of your bookbinding work. Your books and notebooks are true works of art, made with delicacy, patience and precision. The paper, glue and thread merge into an incredible and relaxing work for those of us who observe from a distance. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it. I would like to extend my congratulations to Elliot. In some close-ups, in the travelling shots, in the sequences of this video and many others, you can see his professional hand and his sensitive gaze to show us how your hands dance over the work under construction. Words are not necessary, because your hands speak for themselves. I know very well the importance of a good image in a video montage, because I work in the media (TV). And the quality that Elliot prints on them is an added value to your artisanal work. You are, without a doubt, two artists. Greetings from far away Spain. Maria.
Another nice "quiet" video. Your excellent tools just perform flawlessly. It is SO good to see the amazing Lucy guarding up a storm in your studio again! Give her a scratch behind the ears for me! Thanks again...
@@bittermelonbindery Lucy is such a nice and loyal companion for you --- I guess I really miss my parent's last dog. Shadow passed in 1996 and my parents are both gone. Lucy reminds me so much of Shadow!! I do not mean to be "creepy", I just enjoy seeing Lucy in your fine videos.....
hey, Chanel! your video skills are superb, at this point! this video truly felt like a treat, like everything was a ritual, in it own beautiful way! I strive to one day be able to reach this level of mastery in cinematic beauty! And, oh, my god, that red book was sooooo beautiful!! ❤
Amazing! I am a book artist. Your skills are beautiful. I enjoyed this. Thank you. At one month away from 87 I think my binding days are over. Still, I can’t appreciate those that follow. Lovely.
Love all your ASMR videos and I find this one especially instructional! I was wondering what kind of material you used for the spine? I assume it's manila card stock but I couldn't be sure. The little cylinder is a stroke of genius too. Is it from the remainder of a paper roll? 🤣Would love for you to do a tutorial where you walk us through your rounding and backing process! Lots of love 💘
Thank you Chanel All good trying to stay warm it's getting cooler now only in the upper 50's now 30's at night Stay safe with the fires we have them here also now ☺️📚🦄🤗🩷@@bittermelonbindery
Such a superb video quality. Your videos always calm my nerves. 🩵 Can I also ask if it’s okay to use a waxed nylon thread for the spine instead of waxed linen thread? I just bought one by mistake and really afraid to use it. 😅

Soothing.

Using tape to hold the headband's core still during sewing?!? Brilliant - thank you for sharing. All the best -- 🍪☕
Beautiful craft and videography. Thank you for bringing us along. Good medicine for hard times.
Absolutely stunning. I love your work and you inspire me so much!!!
This video reminds me of the other YT channel Softly Studio. So calming and relaxing, I know I'll be watching this video a few more times.
I can say the same ❤
That's a nice compliment, I really enjoy Softly Studio videos!

Amazing, as always. I love your ASMR videos. What a beautiful journal, and a great way to end my day. Thank you.

Подскажите пожалуйста, из чего она сделала обложку.
Please tell me you don’t always work so clean… my workbench looks like the aftermath of a tornado with pockets of clear.
Haha! I have to clean as I go when filming... so the videographer (my partner) and I don't get on each other's nerves.
Interesting dog you have. He looks too thin…can see his ribs. Maybe more food?

Go for it, nylon is a good alternative!
