@FrenchExpat1 I don´t think so. He looks kind of "soft" or "sharp" faced. To be a terminator one´s must be square headed and have a "massive" skull, like arnold did, because if you look at the design of the "android skull", you will see that if you put skin over it, the look will be a strong jaw, hight cheekbones, massive forehead and etc. Arnold was perfect
@smittyshawn Actually, I would prefer the Lance version of The Terminator. The reason why is because of the fact about how normal he would have looked. And that actually would have been more helpful to Cameron for Part 2. The reason is because it would have made it possible for ANYONE to be a Terminator, man or woman, no matter what nationality or age. And that, to me, is a bit more scary than this hulking muscle man, which loses the edge of anyone possibly being the Terminator.
I agree, Lance Henriksen was a robot in Aliens. The Terminator would have been more convincing with Lance because in T2 they chose someone who did blend in.
@LunchAnderson Thanks for the suggestion. I sort of consider myself a bit of purist, basically the first two films (I've considered adding "T2-3D", the Universal Studios attraction as a part of the list), but I am willing to open my mind to possible other "Terminator" related stuff. I got the "RoboCop vs. The Terminator" comics (as well as the Sega Genesis game) and I also own "Terminator Salvation: The Machinima Series." So, I may check it out sometime.
@AmadeusExcello It's not totally inaccurate to call it a "slasher-film," but one of the things that set it apart from lots of slasher films is that it has interesting characters, ones that don't act incredibly stupid - they are aware of the danger and are actively trying to fight it.
One of the best movies ever made. i would actually say WATCH THIS ONE !!! If someone asked me witch movie between Avatar and Terminator should i watch ??
@LunchAnderson No, I haven't. But I think Summer Glau would definitely fit because no one would expect a cold-blooded killing machine in the disguise of a girl like her.
@AmadeusExcello Your claim that the first movie shows no character growth is unfounded. Sarah shows a lot of change over the course of the movie, as she goes from merely being along for the ride, to basically taking charge during the final chase sequence. When she drives out of the movie in the ending scene she's not the same person she was when she first enters the scene.
Hard to understand how every production studio except Orion turned down Cameron's script for this movie. Such an inability to recognize talent in our society.
@achmedlolol . No im sorry i mean Avitar. it did have its moments. but in my opinon effects are fun if you dont know how its down . also i found avitar fore the most part veay boring with cool monsters . also it seems to be getting be interested in the envirment when when the asked james camron how to get to pandora. he sais somthing along the lines of you should take care of your own planet first. or somthing like that . ok pluss 3 and 4 were ok
Lance would be a better terminator. In a world where there's barely anything to eat, a huge, muscular man appears. It's not a very good inflitration unit.
@dornravlin His "newer" movie? I hope to GOD you dont mean Terminator 3 and 4. Those movies had different directors and had nothing to do with James Cameron. That's why they fucking suck balls. as far as I'm concerned there are only two terminator movies, 1 and 2.
two of the greatest movies ever made and were released at the perfect time
Man, I love the music of T1. It couldn't be more perfect, along with arnold and the who t-800 design. Some movies just come together as gold.
0:33 - :39 Very easy to understand since Arnold plays the hero in almost all of his movies.
You know why this movie is so awesome? Because it's possible this thing with the machines!
It's almost a shame that Lance didn't play the Terminator, I think he would've been spectacularly creepy.
Amo a Lance Henriksen es un actor espectacular y elegante, pero como Terminator no hubiera sido estupendo, no es lo suficientemente máquina asesina
Yes ! He freaked me out in the movie Pumpkinhead, he did both good and evil in that movie very well. Very talented man.
LOL O.J. Simpson as the terminator
Great series!
R.I.P Stan WInston thanks for making great and influential movies in my life anyway ;)
Lance as the Terminator? Very interesting idea, BUT Arnie have made an excellent piece of work.
I for one, was glad that cameron chose arnold as the Terminator!
Can't imagine anybody else as the Terminator.
I will watch it when I get out of jail.. I've been here for 40 years..next year I will be released
@FrenchExpat1

Arnold was perfect
LoL, OJ Simpson never got the roll as Terminator, so he decided to live it out in person.
3:27 That perfectly explains Avatar.
Can anybody tell me why the terminator has an Austrian accent and yet can perfectly imitate the other people's voices? lol
@ 7:50 who is that lady with the red dress? Did she play in any other movie?
I think that the Terminators Austrian accent is explained in one of Terminator 3's deleted scenes.
ITS BECUASE ARNOLD IS AUSTRIAN
LOL. Seriously? -))
It the sound editing
This is longer than the version on the dvd. Nifty.

Christ Biehn has not aged well.

Guy @ 0:16 Is he the police that was trying to assist The Terminator after he smashed the windshield on the get away car of Kyle & Sarah ?
Where did this documentary come from? I have the blu ray but it only has a couple of low quality bonus features. Nothing like this.
:33 - :40 Understandable.
@AmadeusExcello
It's not totally inaccurate to call it a "slasher-film," but one of the things that set it apart from lots of slasher films is that it has interesting characters, ones that don't act incredibly stupid - they are aware of the danger and are actively trying to fight it.
Forgotten film in the franchise.
@KaitainCPS I would say they are two completely different films running the same theme, connected by s few characters.
One of the best movies ever made. i would actually say WATCH THIS ONE !!! If someone asked me witch movie between Avatar and Terminator should i watch ??
@LunchAnderson Hell yeah agree :)
7:50 All terminators are trained to keep their weapons unloaded and the safety on. Safety first!
5:23 was this the idea that the Wachowski brothers later picked up on for the Matrix?? Would be insanely cool if there were a connection...
@taitai907 Well Ridley Scott had a dream before making Alien too.
@ 7:49 - 7:50 who is that lady with the red dress? When Reese was pushing her out of the way! Did she play in any other movie
Woo Smith She had no lines and was onscreen for only a second so probably just a random extra.
@ultramegatrion Why on Earth were they sold to Linda Hamiltion?
If James never had this dream,,the movie would never been made
james camrons cool . i dont like his newer movie . but hes made good work
7:50 I think Michael Biehn didn't take it well about that choice, Arnold stole him all the popularity he deserve
i am 400 like
What is this from? cause it's not on the DVD i have
@michaelforthriller Ofcourse :)
@LunchAnderson No, I haven't. But I think Summer Glau would definitely fit because no one would expect a cold-blooded killing machine in the disguise of a girl like her.
5:12
OJ as the Terminator he would be playing himself
Its a shame the rights to Terminator were sold by Linda Hamilton....Cameron created a masterpiece...
@AmadeusExcello

Why didn't Arnold play a villain more?
The two most famous people to have a dream: Martin Luther King Jr. and James Cameron. Seriously, what did he smoke? I need some.
No.........She got the rights from Cameron after their divorce..then afterwards she SOLD them.....
Hard to understand how every production studio except Orion turned down Cameron's script for this movie. Such an inability to recognize talent in our society.
OJ as terminator? WTF!
@blackbruelee Well he did terminate his wife and her lover.
Lance would be a better terminator. In a world where there's barely anything to eat, a huge, muscular man appears. It's not a very good inflitration unit.
Matej Bukovec ey it just happen, Arnie do it amazing
@radditzu1 He's not even in this part.
@AmadeusExcello
Your misguided opinion is of interest to me only as a statistic.
@dornravlin
His "newer" movie?
I hope to GOD you dont mean Terminator 3 and 4. Those movies had different directors and had nothing to do with James Cameron. That's why they fucking suck balls.

@pccrybabyhater1
not really
@smdmorga
It is a *much* better film than its overrated sequel.
KingKaitain I would agree because I think it's the forgotten film of the two.
