Arkotong Longkumer, on politics, culture and the Heraka movement

On June 1, 2022, The Morung Express had the opportunity of interviewing Dr Arkotong Longkumer who shared his works and ideas related to the Heraka movement and the influence of Hindu elements within its community.
Dr Arkotong Longkumer (PhD) is a senior lecturer with a speciality in Modern Asia at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom (UK). He is the author of books such as Reform, Identity and Narratives of belonging: The Heraka Movement in Northeast India (2010) the Great India Experiment: Hindutva and the Northeast (2020).
