I used to be this flexible until I turned 30. Almost to the day, strangely. My knees and shoulders still pop out, but my muscles are very tight from trying to keep my body together. Unfortunately "I used to be able to do that" doesn't mean much to doctors, despite me spending most of my 20s begging for assessments and referrals, so now I get to be told as I knock on 40's door that it's anxiety or something, because that definitely makes sense. I wish I wasn't so stiff and in pain as I really miss being so flexible. Even the W seated position hurts my knees too much now to get close.
Yes, it’s pretty common after so many injuries due to EDS that the body starts to overcompensate and gets very stiff. It definitely doesn’t mean you don’t have EDS! I wish doctors had more knowledge about this - it’s very sad and disheartening. 😭 I’m sorry you’re in so much pain! I’m sending you soft virtual hugs 🤗💕
Your tiger pose is incredible 😍😍. Lawd my hamstrings are so tight but since I’ve been running I’ve been really consistent with stretching. I have to 😅. Love how you spotlighted your beautiful photos from the gram as well 🥰💗. Everytime i try and point my toes my foot locks up 😅
I used to be able to do a lot of the arm ones, but since I’ve had neck and shoulder muscle tension and issues it’s made that difficult! I can still twist my hand the 360 though, I used that as my usual party trick…
My knee has dislocated maybe 6 times. [Due to bone structure, high Q angle and they overbend backwards. The rest of my body is like the opposite of yrs, extremely rigid, agile as a fence even in chilldhood] The split second electic shock pain is so excruciating it makes me wanna sit still for the rest of my life for it not to happen again and takes about 2-3 months on crutches til it's healed. I don't know how you can bear it on a daily basis! *hugs* Do you wear knee braces?
Its interesting how many of us with autism heds have lyme maybe its because we need country side for solitude.or we cant get rid of Lyme the same with autism heds
Omg the 360 hand flip! ahhhh!! Great video Stela 💓

Ok I can do like all of those except the 360 hand and the king cobra thing. I don't even do yoga 😬
Sounds like you might have EDS 🫠
