There’s a reason it failed. Even though this is a massive improvement it still sounds a bit thin and tinny. It works for what polyphia does but it seems like a super case sensitive guitar if that makes sense.

Absolutely incredible. We all know that Tim's playing can stand on its own, but having a hype video for a signature guitar with absolutely no corny voice-over or narration, barely any accompaniment and complete focus on the incredibly clean tone and Tim's skill is just genius.
In all honesty the folks at Ibanez know just as well as Tim that he can speak to his audience without words. He can do a promotion without parting his lips the man is a sound wizard

I love that these nylon electric guitars are gaining popularity. This tone is so clean and aesthetic. I can't imagine Playing God or The Brain dance by AAL being as beautiful without these guitars
Totally agree, love the feel of classical nylon guitars, but I can’t play high on the fretboard when trying to do anything with electrics. The best of both worlds imo.

Definitely glad this happened. Tim knew the potential of what a guitar like this could do and sound like. It’s a gift to Tim, Ibanez, fans and musicians! I still can’t get enough of this song! It has become my favorite of theirs. Playing God is just an amazing sounding song! It’s hard but groovy! I can’t listen to it without moving my head, lol! The guitar looks amazing! It’s slick, almost minimalistic but with great fantastic detailed accents that compliment the guitar. The colors are perfect for this guitar. Wow! The sound is ridiculous as well. As someone else said it’s a piece of art! Well done! Genius to have Tim in the ad and playing this song that really lets you hear that sound.

He's playing a style I'd more associate with Nylon/Gut string players than just, electric guitar players as a whole. His tone really reminds me of just DI'd guitar with no gain and slight reverb. Which is pretty interesting. And doesn't really give you anything to hide behind He has major chops, I don't really see any reason to hate on him as a player. But the whole Staning and insane fans of his intrigues me. Because, he really isn't doing all that much new. Yet people act like he's doing something that has never been done. Oh well, it's probably just because he's good looking.

I’m primarily an electric guitar player because I don’t really enjoy a lot of acoustic music. I enjoy his acoustic playing quite a bit, so that inspired me. it’s crazy. i remember when yngwie was playing nylons live with a pick he was getting sooo much hate for it online and that was maybe like 12-13 years ago. now we have a modern guitar player doing the same thing on a signature model. both different styles of music but tonally it’s very similar. i bet a lot of the people praising this signature were some of the original haters back in the day for shredding on nylons with a pick. in any case congrats on the sig, hope people buy them!!

Couldn't find any information on the price on the Ibanez website, but other sources estimate it might land somewhere in the 700$ range, so actually an affordable signature for once! Still hope that Ibanez will release that sweet light-grey/ silver electric guitar that Tim was playing in the NeuralDSP trailer.
Hate the sound of plugged in nylon, but your playing salvages the snappiness of those top 3 strings. Love the fact that there is a side sound port too!
As a beginner who thought I was gona be the next shredding metal machine but recently found out I love classical & Jazz guitar more, I love how Polyphia is making these 2 genres cool again.
Pure materpiece. At 1:37, it may seem strange, but it reminded me of the chorus of electronic music by Dj subatomic supernova (NSR), especially this effect in the background, which made me love this video even more.

Outside of Tommy Emmanuel I never thought I would enjoy classical guitar this much. I think I'm going to get one of these. All the user reviews are extremely positive. It goes without saying I'll never sound like this but I might be able to crank out a few sounds that don't make my neighbors want to call the police.

Don't know why but Yngwie Malmsteen's Black Star (Live) came to mind. In the intro when he's messing around with that electroacoustic axe. Adding that percussion element to the sound makes it work.

Outside of Tommy Emmanuel I never thought I would enjoy classical guitar this much. I think I'm going to get one of these. All the user reviews are extremely positive. It goes without saying I'll never sound like this but I might be able to crank out a few sounds that don't make my neighbors want to call the police.

Don't know why but Yngwie Malmsteen's Black Star (Live) came to mind. In the intro when he's messing around with that electroacoustic axe. Adding that percussion element to the sound makes it work.
