Hi Darren, greetings again from Australia. This place is like the pub in Shaun Of The Dead - guns on the wall ?! They'll come in handy when the Zombies attack, led by Starmer, who might find that job a tad easier than being PM. I've been to Canary Wharf a few times. Lovely spot. As far as construction goes, one of the wonders of the modern world. Good to see your son in the recent videos. Nice Sunday roast. If it's any good, it really tops off the weekend, doesn't it ? All the best, amigo !
Amazing review DJ ! OTT for sure! I Your editing skills are great. I also liked how you revealed the prices to "all those that like to know how much", which is everyone, since you're a food reviewer!
So sad for me as I'll miss all the places you visit and dine and showcasing the food of London and around but understand the why. I'll be visiting Thailand now through your eyes. May you find peace and happiness on this adventure. This is a culture and food I'm totally unfamiliar with so a whole new journey for me. You mentioned you'd never visited the Tower of London which is the same for me never visiting the landmarks people come from all over the world to see the famous locations in and around Boston and the Revolutionary War. Luck is coming to America for a while. Hopefully he will enjoy living here now that hopefully some sanity has returned to our government. Wishing you the best for your health and future will be on an upward path now.
Hello Daren, Me and my Mrs really enjoy watching your videos. I’m from Bethnal Green so I’m familiar to the places you’ve been in and around London eating, been a pleasure to watch mate 👏 , and just a thought for Thailand- my old man passed away in Buriram Thailand in 2011, He never got himself insured so it cost a tonne to get his body back which we couldn’t afford (40K), make sure you get yourself covered, apologies for throwing that morbid thought in there lol but all the best and enjoy yourself mate 🍺🍺❤️
Another great video. My old stomping grounds, when I used to work in the Wharf. Love that pub, either the cosy arm chairs next to the fire in winter or the great beer garden in summer overlooking the Thames.
One of my favourite local pubs. Its always busy, so you need to get in quick if you want to sit next to that open fire especially when its freezing outside. The food is great, the service excellent and atmosphere relaxed. Glad when they added the glass windows outside because it use to get very chilly and windy out there, forcing you to stay in. Sad to see you going but like you said before, its only a plane ticket away.. Son looked a bit sad when you were standing over the Blackwall underpass, but its expected. Lovely video mate.
Great food, a pint each ( Guinness ❤ especially) and water for the table. The view magnificent. Nice to see you with your Son again. Love the London vlogs while stocks last. ❤
I lived in Hackney and The Gun was one of my Dad’s favourite places to visit when he came to visit me. He worked for Guinness in Park Royal since he was 20 and ended up being a head brewer! Sadly no longer with us but he would def approve…Luke’s pint of the black stuff. ❤
Nice to spend quality time with Luke and the food looked great👌. Looking forward to your Thailand video's again. I'm sure your subscriber numbers will go up rapidly because people alot of people follow Thailand UA-camrs and your content is excellent plus quality editing👍🇮🇪
Hi Darren still waiting all your videos and enjoying them all . Great to see Luke with you again. Although I am subscribed to you Ytube are not notifiyingme when you post a vlog and l have checked and it says lm subscribed
Geoff Carter had a video on having a Sunday roast in Pattaya. It only cost $3 pounds and it was HUGE. He had chicken and it was so moist, potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding which was massive. You’ll have to try it when you get back to Thailand.
Good Evening Darren and Luke. The Perfect place for two Lovely Gentlemen to go for a Kings Meal. What could be more Better, than Sunday Roast Beef with all of the Accompniments, and Luke's Sunday Roast Lamb Shank looked absolutely Devine. This was cooked to Perfection. What a Stunning Establishment in the Heart of the London Docklands. What a Great place to go and have a Beautiful meal with Friends or Family. I really Loved seeing You Darren with Your Handsome Son Luke. Father and Son together having a Sunday Roast in an Incredible and Historical Pub/ Restaurant. Hope You both Enjoyed your time together and Your meals. Thank you very much for Sharing your Personal video with me. Jonathan/ Peterborough.
That looked the business! Proper blinding dinner. When I'm at the o2 next, going to try and talk my mate into doing a roast before we set off home on the Sunday afternoon.
Your my new hero mate , been watching you for a while now and loved the way you fell head over heals for thailand and made your mind up so quickly to move out there , Ilford been a few times myself but unfortunately lemongrass and spice doesn't agree with me and i just don't get on with the food which is a shame cos it's a bloody long way to go for a lamb shank ! All the very best to you on your new adventure the decision to go couldn't have been easy given your love for london so care and bon voyage i look forward to following your new life in thailand !🙏!
Never heard of the Gun, now on my bucket list. Great to catch up with Luke. How does he feel, you are going to be so far away. No more luncheon meet ups 😢
Luke’s little face tho’ he silently looks upset you’re going Darren. But, yeah… never say never right? Three month mark is when most get a bit homesick. Looking forward to all the new content 😊❤
You are going to miss London a lot when you are over in Thailand Darren. Have you fully thought it through mate? Going on holiday is not the same as living somewhere full time that is for sure. Hope you are making the right decision. Your son seems a lovely lad. I suspect he would prefer you to be around. Not for me to say but just make sure you have really thought it through.
My memory isn’t the best but I’m sure you went for a roast with Luke some time ago close to where you live. It was around this time of year and they were fully booked until after Xmas. Your plates were piled high, everything looked delicious and so much of it.
Imho DJ for the price the portions were a bit of a let down. The beef looked over imho and lamb shank looked tiny. Personally prefer it when all the veg and cauliflower cheese comes up on the side and meat and potatoes on the plate. Not off the carts for me, sorry.
Looked ok but a smallish portion. Maybe southerners are more easily pleased, but somewhere like a Toby Carvery where you can put on as much of whatever veg you like would be better in my opinion.

Luke’s little face tho’ he silently looks upset you’re going Darren. But, yeah… never say never right? Three month mark is when most get a bit homesick.

Hello Darren what was that blues music at the end please cheers mate love your vlogs all the best for your move you are doing the right thing..enjoy.
Epidemic Sound
Thought you had the best Sunday roast ever when you were in the land of your dreams Thailand.
Yes, it was great, but this.....
He is going to go there for a year, then decide from there afterwards but does seem rather brash after a 3 week holiday 🤷🏻♂
Bloody hell that as gone up market since I was there they used to do a fry up 24 /7 and it was good value for money and it was the bee's knees
My memory isn’t the best but I’m sure you went for a roast with Luke some time ago close to where you live. It was around this time of year and they were fully booked until after Xmas. Your plates were piled high, everything looked delicious and so much of it.
Yes - a long time ago
2nd thoughts....?
haven't been to the gun for ages!
Don't leave the UK I will miss you
Thought you'd had a roast dinner in Thailand that you said was as good as your Mum makes? ☺️
Watch it again
I think you will miss London, after a while
Of course
Hi Darren, are you doing UA-cam videos from Thailand? I do hope so. X
Absolutely
Would love to know what Luke does for work and what his plans are for the move to the USA?
Head of recruitment for a tech firm I believe DJ said.
Looked nice Darren is it better than Blacklock ?
Both amazing
Imho DJ for the price the portions were a bit of a let down.
The beef looked over imho and lamb shank looked tiny.
Personally prefer it when all the veg and cauliflower cheese comes up on the side and meat and potatoes on the plate.
Not off the carts for me, sorry.
Meat looked great but not enough veg for me, a measly portion. Sorry 😮
Unfortunately the more you pay, the less you get.
Looked ok but a smallish portion. Maybe southerners are more easily pleased, but somewhere like a Toby Carvery where you can put on as much of whatever veg you like would be better in my opinion.
be safe when you go keep broadcasting
I shall
Enjoyed all your videos good luck mate
Was that just one roast potatoe ?
3
Better roasts in pattaya
Sorry to say mate, but Thailand can’t compete with a good proper Sunday roast, pie and mash, fish and chips etc.
He will soon find that out regardless!
