Going to be honest I've been having the worst week ever. Opened my UA-cam to see if I could watch something to cheer me up/ help me refocus and this is the first thing I saw. ❤
WOW! Yessssss, I have to move into a new apartment over the next week, and I was feeling stressed! This has to be one of my favorite ASMRctia videos of all. You had me at HISTORY, but these maps are absolutely fascinating and after this relaxation I'm ready for the move. Would love to see where on those maps you took those beautiful instagram photos too! I'm planning to visit Stockholm/Sweden at some point because some of my ancestors are actually Sami people from Sweden!

I grew up in the SF bay area with redwood forests and so that kind of stuff always has a place in my heart! Plus you know i'm a fan of history. My girlfriend and I were planning a trip out there and to also see the Fjords in Norway as well...maybe combine the two. Have a great weekend!

This is really interesting. I actually used to have a Swedish friend that came here to the states for a time because he was friends with one of my cousins and he wanted to see her. I was introduced to him and he seemed really nice. As a matter of fact, his voice sounds a lot like yours.

Both virtual and in real life! Sometimes I'm totally submerged in this wonderful feeling of exploration :) It sounds kind of silly... haha
I think this could be more important and healthy than we might think. Watched a documentary quite recently about our brain. It’s actually good for the brain to explore new places and practice to navigate. I just love the feeling when you explore new surroundings you haven’t visited before. Like, all stressful thoughts dissapear for a while. And when I get home, I can spend many hours exploring the map over the new areas I’ve visited. Might sound like waste of time, but that’s why I was so happy when I watched that documentary, kind of made it legitimate 😅
Hey, I loved the video as always!! To be honest, I kind of miss the time when you experimented with different video formats (outdoor asmr, rambling about your life, reading children’s books)... I always found it so fascinating to guess what you would come up with next. Don’t get me wrong, I love the map videos. But I’m saying don’t suppress your creative ideas just because these videos are the most popular :) (you kind of hinted that in one of the podcasts) Maybe you don’t feel that way, but I just wanted to encourage you in case you do. I have a lot of ideas i’d like to try, and some of them are actually already recorded. The editing process is the hardest, and most time consuming, so when I’m about to pick the next video to edit and publish, I guess I usually do a ”safe” choice, maybe a bit too often 🙄
Thank you for the excellent video. Whenever you use this stylus it always is so relaxing. I wanted to request another 'touchscreen' video, like the Christchurch/Utrecht video, which unfortunately was made in very sad circumstances. But the navigating a touchscreen map was very relaxing, and the pinching in and out for zooming was as well. Again thank you and I have been so impressed to see your videos improve over time. Is that where you're from, Sweden? My DNA results say I'm mostly Scandinavian. Then they later revised it down to say "Sweden". But the main Surnames I know of, (Goodman, Spears, Ward), seem to be of English and Irish origin.
The sound is too soft. It's better to up the volume so that it's easier for us to control how loud we want it through our own volume. For someone with a wireless headset like myself, putting the volume up too high means I hear a lot of distortion from other signals. So I need to keep the volume lower and I can't really hear the video anymore.

Why are all my favourite asmrtists always Swedish? They seem to really understand asmr somehow.
I think the accent is very charming and relaxing as well! The way they pronounce syllables really emphasizes certain sounds that trigger ASMR I feel!

Make a video in a similiar fashion to the german confederation video about the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth. There is alot to talk about.
The sound is too soft. It's better to up the volume so that it's easier for us to control how loud we want it through our own volume. For someone with a wireless headset like myself, putting the volume up too high means I hear a lot of distortion from other signals. So I need to keep the volume lower and I can't really hear the video anymore.
