      This movie make me laugh allot with its gruesome style and the stuff going on in general,that was the whole point from the beginning i believe.Nowadays something like that would have been destroyed by the so called "POLITICALLY CORRECT" being sexist,showing animal abuse,teaching kids how to not be nice etc! Back then they dared without fear that much as a whole.Now comedy is dead having again the so called "POLITICALLY CORRECT" throw dirt in its grave little by little!

Junior clearly has serious issues and he needs a good parent to help him learn to control his impulsive and troublesome behaviour

    6:22 Frozen has Elsa accidentally nearly kill her sister by making Anna nearly die of Hypothermia at the end of the movie and Elsa nearly impales one of the Arendalian guards in the eyes, face, chest, and legs with icicles as long as spears. And she nearly pushes one of the guards off of her castle's balcony knowing he would fall to her death, AND not to mention one of the guards was shooting at her with a crossbow aiming for her face multiple times. So yes, the PG rating is warranted but more towards the end of the film.

    I have a soft spot in my heart for the Problem Child movies. I was adopted, and I was always getting into trouble as a child. I remember that one of my elementary school teachers even told my mother to her face, right in front of me, "It's not too late; you can still take her back." My parents always told me that they will do everything they can to help me, and to work through any issues that come up, and that they committed to me for life the day they filled out the first batch of paperwork. Nothing I will ever do will make them give up on me. I can disappoint them, but they'll never see me as anything but their child, no matter how badly I screw up, no matter if I screw up because of my own decisions. That's pretty much exactly what these movies are about too. Ben Healy will not give Jr. up, and will work with him to get through whatever comes up, no matter how hard or frustrating it might be.

    The kid actor is playing this role TOO WELL! I agree that lots of children in movies can be kinda wooden, but the fact is they don't necessarily know what to do, at least in the same way as a trained adult. This actor seems as if he knows EXACTLY how to be. It's as if an actually trained adult transferred their mind into a child. He is so self aware, it's almost disturbing. Either this kid is naturally like this or he's actually quite intelligent. This is the equivalent of telling a dog to sit and it pulls up a chair to a table and starts reading a news paper. It's far more than you would expect.
    And then there's the fact that someone wrote this. Adults can be good writers, but they usually can't capture this sort of insanity. It's as if someone actually sat around in elementary schools and just watched bratty kids be bratty kids. ONCE AGAIN! IT'S AS IF AN ADULT LITERALLY BECAME A CHILD!

    Apparently, Problem Child wasn’t even originally meant for kids and families. It was supposed to be an adult comedy, envisioning a dark, adult satire of the then-popular trend in films where cute kids teach cynical adults how to love, as seen in Baby Boom, Parenthood (directly spoofed by the film's poster), Look Who's Talking, Uncle Buck, Mr. Mom, Kindergarten Cop and Three Men and a Baby. However, the studio insisted upon turning it into a children's film.

    Fun fact - The film was actually meant to be a dark comedy aimed at adults but the studio forced it to be aimed at kids and it was heavily rewritten and reshot. One of the writers actually cried after the film was screened and both were extreme embarrassed by the film. But they've come to accept it in later years. The 2 have actually written some very good films as well such as Ed Wood, Big Fish, Man on the Moon, and Dolemite is My Name.

    • @kenthuang436
      @kenthuang436 8 місяців тому

      The movie isn’t the worst thing in the world and the plot could be followed along easily and still make sense. Plus Junior was written pretty well for a bratty child character and he did have depths to him that showed that he wasn’t just some brat without any redeemable or sympathetic traits to him. He got bullied by the other kids for being adopted and told he wasn’t allowed to do anything at the party or even play one game and he was constantly abandoned the first four or five years of his life. Of course he’s going to act out and cause trouble because he literally doesn’t know any better because he had no one to teach him right from wrong.
