XO is so good. I don't know why there are so few videos like his of people saying how great it is. I bought the complete Samples from Mars. That plus XO and your done.
Really useful bought XO and learnt to use it and route it using your vid found that rendering wavs crashed my ableton live 12 everytime so ended up clicking record on the audio tracks and play on xo . it works then of course switching off xo Thanks for the great vid and heads up on this plugin
That's obviously not supposed to happen. I don't think we have had any other reports about that. Please contact our support team so they can help you out with the crashes: www.xlnaudio.com/support
@xlnaudio in the xo buss you have created if you switch out the audio channels for midi ones then go into the instruments folder in ableton and add an external instrument to each chanel kick1 kick2 etc then route bus 1 to kick 1 bus 2 to kick 2 etc etc then once you have you have created your beat in xo you then just transfer over the midi or you can simply just use xo to audition the sounds then draw the midi into ableton both ways work well
This would be the same as routing it through a drum rack, and adding an external instrument to each pad right? Also, this doesn't let you "live record" the audio for automation purposes does it? When you say "transfer the midi over" you mean the entire thing right, into one row of the arrangement view? Still trying to learn how to use this thing.
Hey, love the video. May I ask if possible wether you can set the key of the drum samples within the vst to match your song? Or if not does it tell you what key the sequence is in?
Thank you for this incredible video ! Quick question : I am facing a problem with xo : when i export processed samples (with effects applied in xo, for exemple filters or pitch correction), the volume of the exported samples never matches the volume directly heard from XO (from output busses), even with the differents normalization settings. This is very annoying as I usually tweak the sounds and mix them within XO before exporting them. I was wondering if you came across this issue and if you found a way to correct it ? Thank you if you take time to answer :)
Hello, if you have assigned a sample to a slot and channel you should be able to adjust the parameters in XO for that specific sample. Or maybe you are referring to something different? If you would need any further assistance with this then don't hesitate getting in touch with our support team: www.xlnaudio.com/support
Hi, I will forward this as a feature request to the product team. You should be able to do a workaround and add triplets using the swing function on the EDIT page in XO, you will have to setup the Groove section to Swing8(or Swing16) and you should be able to add triplets for that channel. If you would have any further questions about this then don't hesitate getting in touch with the XLN Support team: www.xlnaudio.com/support

an update should be in place. we all jumped on it because of the future and now it's stuck in the same place it made me fall in love with it :((( hate finding myself searching for new solutions. the world is rolling
That’s just your G.A.S. Stop searching for more excuses for why you’re not making the music you want to make. All of these are supposed to be used as tools to make your production process easier and more enjoyable, but don’t get caught up in thinking you need something new to keep up with what labels pay to promote on streaming platforms. It’s a game and a joke at this point. Just make some good music by putting in the time messing stuff up and figuring things out. Resistance can be a bitch, but we’re all up against it. 😌❤️🔥
Always the simplest and clearest overviews. And less than half the length of most XO tutorials

Truth!
Simple explanation. Well done.
The channel routing to individual audio tracks in Live is next-level fun.
Wow that's concise and clear 👏

I think as the output tracks are audio tracks. you can just enable the arm record on the channels and record the output from XO

Does it has like fine pitch modulation to make groove more alive not soo static? Aswell filter modulation? Otherwise it looks cool
Very helpful -- thank you!
50/50 with the Atlas vst. I am using Atlas, but XO looks also pretty cool. I have to test it.
You should! There's a 10-day trial with full functionality available through our XLN Online Installer application:

How its different from. Logic drum sequence???

I just replied in the support ticket you have with us regarding this issue.
Could XLN create something similar for bass ?
Is there a way of mixing indivisual sounds in xo?
Also, i think it would be great to be able to map the'random' or next drum set.

What i meant was tp create buses. I was lackin vocabulary to describe what i wanted at that time. I did figure it out.🤙
Are they going to implement triplets ?

Is there a way to midi map randomization button?
It would ve very useful.
Unfortunately not, but that would in deed be neat. Request noted for future consideration. Thanks!
@@xlnaudio Thanks for considering😉

any way of adding/importing drum loops in xo?
Unfortunately, it's not possible to load drum loops in XO. The similarity algorithms in XO only work for single hits.

Buildning? Is that in Swednglish language?
Thanks, corrected now!
Why not just record the tracks since you already routed them to individual tracks instead of rerouting multiple times?
OK...this is great as a starting point...I do have a question though, which is: How do you work in odd meters like 3/4, 5/4 or say 11/4...anyone?
I use Geist 2.
@@CAMMYSINCLAIR - Thanks and can this be used alongside XO and With Ableton Live, do you know?
I'm color blind as a bat. Arrgh, But still looks like a great idea.
It has been four years since last release, when new stuff?
Don't worry, we have new exciting stuff in the pipeline. Hang in there!

Love it, but you know what i mean 😉
I would love to use more samples within one instance and also automate the sampleswitching in my project.
Hi! Out of curiosity, how many extra samples would be sufficient?
@@xlnaudio 16 slots in total would be ideal
@@gregsilver_official I just run two XOs and trigger them with Geist2 with a midi note shift
