Im gonna start drumming soon and i think ill get the surge. My thing is can you have the snare like right in the middle under the toms and if you didnt like the hi-hats could you get a better one?
Hi. Thanks for the review. Do you know if the limitation of 3 layers on the hi hat is because of the samples in the module or because of the pedal? If you use Superior Drummer with a hi hat that has 4 or 6 open hi hat sounds, could it handle it?
I’m 6’2” and I make it work. The frame isn’t really adjustable but everything on it is. If you have a drum stool that fits you then I would say you’re good
I'm still debating whether or not to buy this or the Donner ded-200 as my first kit.

Yeah you should be able to position where ever you want. I’m not sure what hi hats you could use though. It’s probably pretty limited

I would guess that it’s a limitation of the hardware and superior drummer wouldn’t change anything
