OHHH YURRRRRR!!!

Got this kit after seeing your review and added a double bass pedal! In my late 30's finally getting into drumming and i'm loving it!
hell yeah dude!!! have fun :) :) :)
Which pedal mate 😯
Does it work with Bluetooth headphone you already have?
@@mainakchatterjee8442 DW 3000 like a noob, don't know if it set up wrong but i'm not getting them to works properly. I'll troubleshoot this weekend. Feels like I have to hit HARD for them to register, so im thinking its the position of the beaters. Sensitivity on the bass drum is set to the highest number.
@@66Samus I'm interesting in buying one kit to learn to play some metal, wich double bass pedal would you recommend with this kit?
Tempted to get this kit. Affordable and less disruptive to my new puppy and other pets and family, especially as a learner. No one wants to hear me be garbage for hours lol.
Hi. Curious if you bought it and how the puppy deals with it. I have a regular kit, but can't play it because it bothers my three golden retrievers. Looking for a quieter option.
@@MLGubish havent had the chance. My golden puppy and work schedule changing have been a handful
@@SinisterPlauges Well yes, Goldens can keep you busy. Hope you manage it someday. Think this will be a birthday present to myself.
@@MLGubishI have it. Get it. Free Drumeo and Melodics included
Simmons is better
Dude. I literally just bought one of these and am currently scrolling through UA-cam looking for background noise as I set the kit up. Glad to see that you approve!!
This honestly seems like a significantly more affordable option that hits the same niche the old roland TD 11k hit when it was going for like 1100 bucks. Very cool.
well they also sound very very different
@@747lchso which one you recommend this one or Roland td-02k?
@@rayshearer Neither ( get the Roland TD-07 instead).... but if your budget is limited...get Roland stuff, it upgradable. The rack supplied with the TD-02 is the same rack supplied with the TD-07 and 17. So you can upgrade later to the PD or PDX pads which are far better than entry pads.
The TD-02 is not upgradable with more cymbal/drum pads the TD-07 is, as it allows for an additional crash cymbal. The TD-17 adds cymbal expansion plus and additional aux expansion for another type pad (drum cymbal etc) however the aux on the TD-17 is assigned to tom 4 as a default, but its easy enough to reassign it. However, you will need to reassign it for every kit you use. There is not a global reassign, that I am aware of.
Being a single dad on a budget, this works for me! I'll be ordering soon. Thanks for introducing!
thinking same thing. does it work for DAW? if so, how?
@@jasonhuttermusic424 most ekits do this one included midi to usb cable pretty sure. ive had an ekit before and thats what I used
You have to do some congif and routing for use with a DAW, its easy, but long explanation for here look for some tutorials@@jasonhuttermusic424
@@jasonhuttermusic424i guess you just connect the output to yoyr daw and us and iem?
Respect that ur single Dad. Ur a good guy!
I hav a very serious question to ask...How. In. The. Hell...do I hire Samus to open all boxes delivered to me?!? I'd pay top dolla to watch him open all my packages. OHHHH YURRR \GHOGF/
Samus will be flying to my house December 25 early in the morning and opening all my Christmas presents for me! He’s only charging me $2,222.22 …not bad! 🎅🏻🎄🎁🎁🎁
I’ll pay him $6,666 to come open my presents
Watch him open your packages or watching the CRACK? 🤪

How about the best electronic kit for a very experienced drummer who's just broke and has kids so he needs to stay quiet?
Can’t go wrong with Roland TD07. Bonus points if you can get it used
Probably this
@@Jack_Attack_2580is that also good for a beginner? i want to get into playing edrums but i need them to be pretty quiet and I'm also broke lol
Buy used. I got a donner ded-200 for $75
@TheAlaskanBullW02 which place do you get one used though
I bought an older Alesis Nitro a few years back and this is *so* much improved from that original kit.
Just $400? That's affordable enough for me to finally try getting into drumming!
The Titan 50 is also a pretty good option. Less kits to choose from unfortunately, though all the sounds available are a bit more rich than on the Alesis
Just a friendly warning. If you live in an apartment and have neighbors below you, they will hate you. I found this out the hard way. It's the bass pedals. You might as well be stomping on the floor with bowling balls. I got the old broomstick banging in the ceiling "STFU"
This definitely seems like a good cheaper option. anything cheaper definitely ain't worth it. I bought a super cheap Amazon kit just to get back into drumming since I played when I was younger. Fuckin pads arrived not working. And the ones that did work had shotty sensitivity
yeah the kick pedals they send are worth maybe $2. They're a joke. Got the same from my idiot roommate downstairs. @@satevo462
@@satevo462 you don’t have to hit it that hard lol you can either raise the sensitivity or lower the beater to be closer to the trigger. I had this same problem when I got my Alesis surge mesh kit, once I messed around with the kick drum I was able to make it so I barely have to tap it to get a sound. That’s only when I wanna play at night tho in the day time I turn down the sensitivity and let loose on the kick drum lol.
I know im a tottaly opposite style player then sammus(willing to play anything but my skill set is limited) but i appreciate him making me want to play again after not touching a kit(outside of a short time at GC a few months ago) sense 2015.
I loved playing for my Church youth group when i was a teen and i would always play to country and Christian rock songs in my house.
Someone damaged my floor tom in 2015 and i never had the chance to get it fixed, i live with my mom in a smaller house so playing my old Yamaha would not bode to well for me, this looks like a perfect fit for me.
Im 31 on the 23rd of this month and it is time I start playing again.
Thank you Samus for inspiring me all these years to want to play again.
GOD BLESS
sincerely
Gabriel
Ps.
I dont need expensive stuff to make my drumming dreams come true, just somthing afordable that wont break down on me in two seconds, this is why i follow you because you even help out the budget consious players like me.
I have known how to play sense age 11 but i have been out of it for roughly 8 years, im ready to get back in the saddle and maybe learn some Stryper music.
I literally just bought this kit and it's amazing. I bought the expansion pack as well as another bass drum pad and it's kinda a legit kit now.
can u use in a DAW, cubase? if so, how? does it record the entire drumbeat?
@@jasonhuttermusic424you can definitely do that using drum plugins like addictive drums 2. That’s what I do with the nitro mesh kit
Thanks for these types of videos. I bought my first e kit earlier this year because of your review (Donner DED-400). Works great with Phase Shift or Clone Hero to get me to keep playing.
Is the Donner kit worth the money for clone hero I'm looking for a electric drum set for clone hero for pc but not sure what too get alot of bad review for those drum sets
Most honest review video i have ever seen in my life.I am a guitarist, and i am going to start playing drums and buy this kit just because of you.Thank you for your beautiful playing, energy and most important, the inspration that you just gave me.🤘🥂🎸
I just ordered one of these 5 minutes ago and then I stumbled across your vid. I'm a minute and a half into it and am already cracking up. Fun and entertaining. Great job
I doubt that 🤔

Bro…. The joy….. did my heart so good. 😂
For 399$ this is actually fire🔥Great channel great content always fantastic tips and lots of entertainment😄Keep it up Samus!👍
Getting ride of the huge rim on the toms is a very good move , going to make them seem bigger and more playable.
So it's not just me who drops the sticks 😂 dude I'm so glad I found your channel man, every video is just information packed , funny and always played with heart. Thanks man
thank you so much dude!!!
Honestly man, you're in the top 3 channels of mine. Your content is superb, plus your a genius on the drums 🤘⚡
I launch them across the room sometimes
.... granted I'm a bassist but still it's not just you
I needed quiet and minimal space, so I ordered one of these a couple of days ago. I'm just waiting for it to arrive in the store. Neat how you're reviewing it for me.
How are you liking it so far? I had an acoustic drum set when I lived in a house and now I'm in a 1-bedroom apartment. Considering buying it but a little bit worry about noise even with headphones.
@ThiagoNeres1 the sound is decent for the price. It took me a bit to figure out setting adjustments to make the sounds I wanted, though, but I'll admit I'm not great with computers. It's definitely a closer feel to an acoustic set thanks to the mesh heads. But it does still feel different. The highhat peddle isn't perfect on response time, so I got low volume cymbals for my acoustic hihat and have it next to the set. Over all at its price it is still worth it in my opinion, but also I'd say find time and a place to practice on an acoustic set as well. Any specific questions just let me know.
i got a deal on it with headphones+a seat for 370. Super happy with it so far as a beginner. i need to re-do my whole kick drum setup tho bc i wanna play metal
Broo where’d you buy it?
@@BullseyeHTX i bought it from music-city
I got a 11% discount from a student card tho
@@BullseyeHTX music-city
I have the old old model with expansion pack, 2 things 1. I F-ing love it, and play it daily, bass drum has had to be repaired 5 times but worth it 2. If you play metal you NEED the expansion pack, it is ungodly the stuff you can do. I have a cowbell, slam snare on the snare rim, a punchy regular snare, a china on the expansion cymbal, a sick bell on the ride, a punchy zildjian like crash, a scary hi hat and an 808 like tom on the extra tom. I have only used the provided drum samples. Why you ask? Cuz i customized a couple kits a metal, indie, rap, dance ect. When I get motivated/bored of the sample sounds I will hopefully try the bdf player (cash poor currently)
Saw the limited time offer for the drumeo edition and thought hey thata a wicked deal, then came to see if you had reviewed the kit. Long story short I ordered it a couple weeks ago and just received it today. Perfect for a apartment where I cant exactly play an acoustic kit anymore.
So great seeing how much fun you have playing this
Awesome video man! I started drumming with an Alesis DM lite kit, then I got a Roland TD17 KVX which I still use for practicing and also for double bass endurance practicing. And my main kit is actually a Mapex Armory with double bass. So all I can really say, Alesis was a great way for me to start! Keep rocking man!!! you're an inspiration for many drummer!🤘🤘🤘
You are absolutely a character man. You gave me a hearty laugh and showcased this product beautifully. Thanks for your content bro
thank you so much, my friend!
I have this to practice quietly, it's the best.
I lost it at "make sure to eat that", and that's why I started following you a few years ago. 😂
They are still selling Nitro Mesh kits. I just bought one for my 5 year old sons Christmas present. He's going to be so stoked.
yes, they aren't in production anymore but you can still find them on some websites and stores!
This is the one I was thinking of getting so I’m so glad you finally reviewed it cause it answered literally all of my questions
This has genuinely been the most useful review of this kit so far.
That was the most entertaining unboxing I have ever witnessed. Thank you 🙏🏼
That's a really impressive setup and pack of goodies for the price.
2:22 pm oh yurrr
the thing i like about this guy's presentation here is, despite knowing i'd likely not be into his record collection, i absolutely watching his enjoyement of it, and how that t-shirt n beard just tops it off!
Am rollin around. The guy is great fun.
Awesome as always Samus, I honestly couldn't go back to electronic kits after retraining myself (after massive nerve damage in both arms) on my sonor kit, but you always bring the best out of any kit. Best wishes from the UK
@arboclimber - could you elaborate on this some more? I’m brand new to electronic drums, and just trying to educate myself fully on them.
@@TheTexican05 yes certainly, I loved ele tronic kits but as I mentioned I have ND so the now the bigger the head the easier it is for me but I'm not knocking EKs just no longer for me.
Used that little bass pad for my double pedal for a while until I purchased 2 mesh Alesis Bass pads and oh boy was that soooo much better haha. But that did require me to purchase a 2nd module. Also I discovered that the ride cymbal if I cross hit it my the body of my drum stick it does the bell hit more accurately
HOW WAS THIS @ DAYS AGO
@@modsplayrPatreon
So how bad is it as is with a double pedal? My grand daughter has a double pedal for her regular set but I was wondering if she could get away with that pedal on this setup?
When just using the one bass pad it comes with to do double bass it sometimes would miss hits because your beaters will hit more to the sides of the pad and not directly in the middle. If just using a single pedal on it you won’t have any problems. I initially modded mine by opening it up and adding a second piezo trigger inside it but I really wanted a mesh bass drum so decided to upgrade
If the drum module that comes with it is similar to the original nitro module then there should be 2 additional inputs to add an additional pad or 2 so you could always purchase a 2nd bass pad.
I personally enjoyed playing the Simmons Titan 50 more than the Alesis and even the lower end Roland ekits. But for a beginner or long time drummer who wants a cheaper kit to practice quietly none of these are bad options.
The set I bought a few weeks ago for Christmas. Excited to use it.
Got this as a gift for Christmas, cant wait to set it up and play!
Just bought this for my kids for Xmas... And uh... I'll probably be sitting at it from time to time, too.
Glad to know it's a strong kit to learn on! I've got 3 aspiring drummers in my house!
Great Idea for a Christmas present, I'm sure your kids will Love it but you might have to appoint time slots for them so they don't fight over it .. Cheers 🥁🥁🥁
Soo cooool !!! 🤩
3!🎧👂whoa.
Dude this is actually really good at that price point, i remember in the early 00s that an e kit sounding like this would be 1.5k easy. For 400 bucks, to mess around or learn this is a good option. Great video.
I just got this kit after starting the drum lessons I promised myself during the "long stay at home" and its freaking great - you answered the question i had about getting the dark mahogany and drum samples working and I can't wait to try them. ALL OF THEM MWHAHAHAHAAAA‼️‼️ (double kick pedal and tom + cymbal expansion arrives this week)
It's kind of like watching 'Captain Caveman' on drums -- love it.
Looking for my first drum kit and found this video, I'm a beginner who started doing practice pad stuff cause I was super into marching band drumming. Then I realized that drum kits are also awesome! Honestly amazing video, helped me out a lot.
66Samus, you inspired me to pick up drums again, I quit a few years back, but now i'm gonna be back at it with a good ohhhhh yuuuurr!
look at how much fun he's having this is what music is about its like being a kid again.
Yes! Pure fun and magic
Just ordered these. Cant wait to start learning!
You are so awesome, you are the best, your videos made me buy a good beginner drum kit

I just ordered this today with the expension pack because..sex, after looking at it for a few weeks and waiting for Sweetwater to get more instock. I'm excited for it to show up so I can get back into drumming again. Thank you for inspiring me to start again.
Your blast beats are crazy sick
It's illegal to but your volume town when this guy is playing geep it up man love you❤
Thanks for the review man, this looks amazing for a beginner!
Is this kit still 399? Because I’ve been looking everywhere for it and it’s like 800 dollars
Sick deme at 6 minutes 👌 love the fact you went straight to putting the double kick with the kit 🤩
You convinced me to buy it.
I just had to watch it fully three times as I enjoyed the skills, the humor and the socks.
I’ll receive it Wednesday. Can’t wait !
I’m sure I’ll say « sex » after the first hit.
hahahaha that's awesome dude!!
you will have so much fun :)
Just got this kit 2 days ago and i'm loving it. Got it hooked up to Clone hero and my brother and mum are enjoying it too lol.
I just bought the Nitro Max with the expansion pack(extra tom & cymbal) and I absolutely love it! I was afraid some of the toms or cymbals weren’t going to register all my hits but I haven’t had any problems. I was also worried the preset kit sounds were gonna sound cheap but they sound pretty good, i still prefer using Ableton since it has more variety and better accessibility to sounds. I’d also recommend using a snare stand for the snare since it does wobble when playing heavy. Overall I love it and definitely recommend it💯
@markcarreon9830 - thank you for this! Hearing other user reviews on a product I’m considering is very helpful. 🥁 🍻
I love the way you're opening these boxes awesome kit
thx for doing this review. its not my first drum set but people are always doing stuff in my house so it will be nice to finally be able to play drums more
This has fixed my crack addiction. And by fixed, I mean fueled. I lik
thats awesome man dont stop
um what 😭
Found it! I saw a couple reviews of this kit and they talked about using a double pedal, but they didn't show it, and they crabbed about double triggers or something, said it probably wouldn't work.
But I knew Samus would show us!
Hail to the king!
never seen you before. Never seen what you do before. But can you do an unboxing for literally everything from now on? Love the energy! oh and the drum set is class
hahaha thank you sir
A couple months ago I bought my very first drum set. A Tama imperialstar. I underestimated how loud it is so I bought a Roland td-17kvx2 to practice late at night. Then I had to buy another hi hat stand because I didn't want to switch it up every time jumping between kits. Then I changed out the perfectly good heads for Remo emperor coated. Now I'm adding more cymbals and stands to the acoustic kit. I barely know how to play drums and I'm spending way too much money lol. I wish somebody would have told me this is a very expensive habit.
Wow man.. very cool kit for beginners..
Shit, i might run out and get me one of these kits .. lol.. thanks for sharing this with us Samus.. much appreciated bro.. keep killin it.. 🤘🤘
I had just added this to my amazon wishlist. Now I'm even more excited about them.
Mornin man hope your day is well peace
Just wanted to thank you for this video. After watching it, i ordered the kit for my lil girl (she has a kid acoustic drum set, ready to make the next step up) and she was beyond thrilled Xmas day. Just wanted to let you know your videos make a difference. Cheers, Beers, Burps and Hail Satan!
thank you so much dude, and cheers!!! she will have so much fun on this kit!
The first guy on an electric drum that can actually play drums!!
Your honest joy was perfect. Merry Christmas and have a great new year my good sir
I had the same issue with the ride cymbal becoming a bell with the Alesis DR6 over a decade ago. Glad to see they worked that out.
I wired my own piezoelectric discs and was able to make a dual zone ride with the DM10 module, I imagine any modules newer than that one should be able to.
You're a very simple man with simple pleasures. You got a great personality 👍
thank you so much for the kind words and the sub!!!
I own this kit as a beginner (with the extra Tom and cymbal package) it is a fantastic kit. The criticisms of it that the rack is still a bit wobbly is valid and the spring snare pedal is a bit meh but for the money it's great.
Steel bb pellets! Pop the top covers off the legs and fill with bb pellets! This will fix your issue!
@FaithsFallen great idea thanks. It's not a massive problem really just something for people to be aware of with this kit
@@matwetton and add Superior Drummer 3 and it will sound like 100 000$ kits

Experienced drummer but wanted to save space and control my EZ Drummer plug-in and it is awesome! Good response! Thank you for this review! Love your channel! Rock on brother.
OMG the practice songs section I started cracking up, lol
I would love to have a nitro max as an upgrade to my existing drumpad so i can use in my upcoming gigs. Thanks for showing this, something for me to look forward to. 😅
You had me dying at sliding in the bass drum beater and be sure to eat that (silica pack)
It took almost 4 glasses of water to satisfy his request. 😰 What food group is this in again?
Mine just showed up today. I figured I would have to buy a pedal and a snare stand because the snare is always falling off but yours doesn’t seem to move much. I played growing up and haven’t played in over 10 years because of my housing situation. I hope I can get back into drums with this kit.
I've just discovered this channel, and he just seems like a non-Australian version of the Dankpods guy, lol!
hahaha that dude rules
Just got the drumeo version of this kit. Straight to blast beats!
I'm torn between getting the Donner DED-200 or this. I played for about 7 years, but took a massive break due to the apartment life.
Do you recommend one or the other? Does one slightly outweigh the other? Thanks so much, and great vids as always!
Considering he did a sort of review of that kit 4 months ago and said this was the best of 2023, I'd assume this is better overall. I don't know for sure but I believe this likely has more options to customize it.
I love my ded200s.. hooked up to midi in my daw with ezdrummer and it sounds like a love acoustic kit.
Bought this kit 3 months ago. Very satisfied with it! I am glad to see that a double pedal can fit on this, my end goal is to learn to blast beat properly :D
Thanks for this review! It motivates me even more !
Somehow, if these ever get sold in Europe I seriously doubt the price tag will be the same. Things here tend to be more expensive. Although, to be honest with you, I would buy this for that price, and pay the extra for the cymbal and tom.
Idk about mainland Europe but I just got one for like $480 (£380) in England
Unfortunately more expensive than in the US but there are seriously no better options. The Behringer XD80USB was £20 less brand new but the module on the Alesis is so much better, it makes the Behringer look like a toy. And with people selling 5+ year old TD1DMK for £300 (~$400) second-hand, and TD07 for closer to £500 (~$600), if you can even find one for sale that isn't a scam... A brand new Nitro Max suddenly seems like a good deal.
@@JamesBalazs Well, here in western Ireland everything comes from the UK . Maybe I'll be able to find a website with these for sale. I'm very hopeful of getting one.
I love that you kept the falling stick at the end, and I love Alesis too
"Silicon pack , make sure you eat that"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I might get this too. Started on drums as a teenager but switched to bass. After years of drumming on literally everything it's time to see if I didn't make a mistake by selling my old Roland 2000's kit.
Samus, where did you get them socks sir? OH YURRRR!

what i like about this kit is the snare really big enough room for rudiments

I watched for the kit review, I subscribed for the unboxing sound effects 😂
I’m gonna get this drums kit for my birthday and I’m really excited
it is a song writers dream to get the basic feel of the beat down dor real musicians, I'm in and buying today thank you
I am really glad you reviewed this kit, because I was interested in it. I was worried it would be too crappy for the price. I remember trying out the E drum kit at my local store when I was a kid, and being blown away by how cool it was, and how expensive it was. I wonder how kits from 16 years ago compare to these decent budget kits of today.
But I mean geez this doesn't seem as good as that Drum tec set 😂
For the price and the sounds I'm sold! I have an old Roland TD6 I'm tired of and ready to get rid of,this kit would be perfect for my practice kit,and another cymbal and tom for 100$,heck of a deal,I paid 200$ just for a Roland cymbal and boom stand to ad to my TD6. PLUSI can use my double pedal, not w my Roland kit,1 thing I dont like is the hihat, but I'm ust to just the pedal w no actual stand,I have a newer DW 9000 hihat stand that is like the best hihat stand ever, but can only use it out w my acoustic kit, and thx Sam for the demo, luv ur videos bro,and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
I needed a cheap kit and all roads led me to this kit. I can't believe how good this kit is. I would not buy the add on pack ( extra tom and cymbal) I would use the money to buy the next kit up the ladder as this one is brilliant for the money and assuming the Mid range Alesis kits are even better.
Dude, looking at it the way you play it looks so darn easy !
You deserve more subs dude
Super easy to hook up to EZ Drummer/Superior Drummer as well. Pretty solid budget kit.
As a lifelong guitarist, THIS is the bang for the buck drum kit I was waiting for to start a new chapter of my musical journey on drums. I'm especially interested because it supports MIDI and most of what I do is in GarageBand for my Mac/iPad. Being able to plug in like that is perfect! $400 what a steal
I just got this yoooo!!! I really wanted to learn drums and was very happy to see this at my guitar center I’m so excited to play it 🤘🔥
Great video and review. If im a complete beginner...what other things will i need to purchase or can i purchase for this kit? Head phones, amps, etc. What size jack for headphones?
Came here for the review, smiled for most of it. Thank you
