That tiny prop with a little engine cowl really does something to the fighter's performance.
I like to think of these as tho somehow I went to another universe and wound up in an "alternate" Earth. Everything was somewhat the same but so different. And these are the movies that are playing.

AI has a tough time with propellers it seems.
The fact that the Top Gun program didn’t come into existence until 3 March 1969, almost two decades after this “movie” takes place, should also have some bearing.
So this movie prophesied the real Top Gun program!

@@sealevel51, well, seeing how we kicked ass over Korea in aerial dogfighting, there was no need for top gun. Top gun only came around because our dogfighting skills during Viet Nam sucked compared to earlier aerial warfare. But you should have already known that…. Guess a Karen CAN teach you something…

Used within the U.S. Navy in the 1950s, "TOP GUN" meant the best student graduating from the Naval Academy. If this movie had actually been made, it would have been a work depicting the youth of young people.

Those propellers were the same versions used on early ornithopters. They were always breaking and needed constant maintenance. They were eventually replaced with ordinary, single-axis propellers.

um. they were using jets in the military by the 1950s. Ironically, Top Gun is a movie about the 50s shot in the 80s.

Well, at least the latest AI images have been corrected so that the writing isn’t gibberish….but the edges still have creepy details…
As amilitary aviation enthusiast whose life was forever changed after seeing the original Top Gun all those many years ago, seeing AIs attempt at recreating it like this just hurts my eyes & soul. WOOOOOOW but the aircraft in this video are just... horrible

Imagine how better this will be, if AI show at least some signs of actual intelligence and not just merging together random parts of pictures from internet. For starters, AI should know how real aircraft look like and how it move. This is just display of all errors AI generated video can have. Current AI is not aware of simple things like aircraft design and human anatomy. 0:51 just look at that, those planes are not even symetrical. 0:21 one of the images used to create this abomination was Corsair.
0:21 actually this frame is made up of two shots, first created a picture of the hangar and then boned the area and asked to add an old plane with a propeller, works well and hardly needs any changes, we live in amazing times. By the way, thanks for the comment, I just created this channel and the comments help it grow)
Myself, I think these are absolutely amazing. I freeze frame a lot of these and the images are just mind blowing! They're works of art,.... but without the art?? I hesitate to use the word "art" I understand these AI engines blend in pics from various sources, and use some kind of script to make them look like there's movement, so there's no REAL artist creating this.
I don't think it's meant to be perfect, part of the charm right now is seeing how those algorithms half bake some elements imo
