Picked up a 2ghz ALS model the other day and I’m seeing how fast I can get it. Currently I have maxed out the ram and installed an SSD, next is to set it up for multibooting with a few versions of Mac OS and also sorbet leopard (should be fun)
PowerPC is the brand of CPU's apple used before they switched to intel! These ones were manufactured by IBM! The G5 name is just a codename for 970FX which is what it's actually called!
You just brought back memories when i was a kid i usedcs to play that Halo demo on our Powermac G4 which we found on the side of the road lol
