I can't say enough how Creedence influenced my life as a 12 year old. When Bad Moon Rising came over the waves on my AM radio I could see a video in my head that was magic. Every year my parents took us on vacation in PC Florida a new Creedence song would come out. No group ever came close in my heart to Creedence. Their magic engulfed me for years. I so wish my children could experience how wonderful life was in the late 60's and early 70's. I'm 65 now and still love hearing a good Creedence song.
I wasn't born until 1989, but you are absolutely right that this was a special time for music. I really wish I got to live through it and experience it while it was happening. There are always good times to be had in every era, and I had a great childhood in the 90's. There was and still is tons of great music, you just have to search a little harder to find it than you did back then I think since it sure isn't being played on mainstream radio.

I love the fact that Tina turner covered CCR. A woman from segregation era Tennessee singing a song about the south written by a California boy from tne Bay Area, John fogarty, who had never even been to the south before he began his career as a musician
It was a global monster hit. As a school kid circa 1970 in Malaysia, you could hear this tune daily on the radio. Local school bands would be rehearsing this song frequently. Every teenager who owned an acoustic guitar would be playing this song, even in rural areas. So popular was this song that it used to be played at school dances all the way into around 1972. Thank you ike and tina turner. Thank you CCR. Simply one of the best tunes from the 1960s.
