If your wondering what that line ment at 9:26 . Victoria Justice was in a episode of ICarly before victorious was a thing, and in that episode she played a boxer who wanted to do a stunt fight with Carly for publicly. This episode proves my point about ICarly being ahead of its time BY PREDICTING UA-camR BOXING
I'm really surprised just how disorienting seeing Carly's apartment flipped is to me. I've never had that issue before watching other reactions of shows with the show flipped. (ETA: I don't even have the problem with most of this episode. It's only when they're in the apartment, or in the hallway outside the apartment, that my brain starts short-circuiting.)

I guess it's because we actually know the whole rough layout of the apartment and also that Freddy lives on the right door. So when that one room is flipped the whole BUILDING or at least this particular floor has to flip as well in our brain
Carly unlocking what looked like Freddy's apartment really tripped me up.

Mathew, Rex is just Robbie's intrusive thoughts and self-doubt spoken out through ventriloquism. Robbie's kinda insane but he overcomes it as we can see in Sam and Cat when he doesn't have his puppet anymore...
I feel like we glossed over the fact that a teacher was in a hot tub with his students… among the other insane things in this crossover

Yeah, I always assumed Rex was just a sort of DID alter ego type of deal. Like Robbie's mind created Rex to be everything Robbie isn't. And everyone rolls with it because it's easier than arguing.
I always thought of it like in Sydney White like it started as a therapy doll & just morphed into a personality disorder
@HeiwaTori I feel like one could say that most of the victorious cast might have personality disorders when you think about it. Like robbie could have DID, Cat could be bipolar, Trina almost certainly has narcissistic personality disorder, Jade might have paranoid personality disorder that keeps her from trusting beck to be loyal, etc. I think it would be interesting to see a psychologist review the show.

From having watched the series, at some point they make it very clear that Rex does not have a mind of his own and is just a puppet; HOWEVER, it is heavily implied (arguably it's explicit) that Robbie doesn't realize that he is the one controlling Rex and truly believes Rex is alive.
I think Rex does have his own free will because he was voiced by a whole separate person meaning he’s his own character
Matt Bennet, the guy who played Robbie, actually onfirmed that Rex is Robbie's alter ego that he's had since he was a child to voice his real thoughts/emotions.

Okay I’m gonna be honest here in all the Nickelodeon shows I watched I still think André had the best voice even in this
I remember Spencer's book club being mentioned thrice in ICarly.
First time here when they were reading.
Second time they weren't reading but instead exchanging recipes.
Third time the book club wasn't on screen, it was mentioned he got thrown out of the book club because he set a stack of books on fire.
The way that I AAASCENDED~~~ when I found out that this existed as a child. I literally did everything in my power to find a full copy of it. I was smiling so much when I finally did, it was all worth it lol.

I dont think show crossovers are that big a thing anymore(as im aware of). The latest crossover I know of is Raven Baxter's son, Booker, from Raven's Home guest stared on the show Saturday's for one episode. Crossovers like iParty, That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana, Jimmy Neutron & Timmy Turner, etc live in my mind! I hope crossovers make a comeback for childrens shows
Nickelodeon has a crossover episode back in 2021 between a bunch of shows (i dont remember the shows)so i think there is it's just less prominent or advertised like that. Ravens Home and Bunk'd also had a crossover in 2020.
There was a crossover for Henry Danger and The Thundermans, one for Henry Danger and Game Shakers, The Haunted Hathaways and The Thundermans. Those were really popular shows during their time which is why I can recall them easily…and the crossover episodes were these big things that got advertised weeks before airing…even smaller, less popular shows like Every Witch Way and Talias Kitchen had crossovers. I'm sure there are more. I think crossovers are still a big thing, but we’re just not aware of them cause we’re no longer in that demographic.
@AnotherDrummerBoy oh cool! Thanks for telling me. It's great to see Nickelodeon has kept up with it. I've watched some episodes of those shows but not all of them all the way through. I like to at least be aware of the show names and visuals aince I work with mostly 4th to 8th grade children. I think I've been more updated on the animated side of children's media than the live action side.
@paintingdreams290 yes the other user just mentioned the Nickelodeon one! Perhaps Nickelodeon is leading the way when it comes to crossovers right now. I used to watch Bunkd but then when thr original Ross kids/cast left, I stopped watching. I've kept up with the animated side of Disney animation than live action(the newish Chibi Tales are pretty cool and cute).

Fun facts Miranda Cosgrove actually had acting roles before ICarly and Victorious and one was on Drake And Josh as Drake And Josh's younger sister Megan and the other role was on School Of Rock starring Jack Black although i can't remember her character's name on that movie

As i get older it freaks me out more each time that I watch the scene where Jade and Beck are in a hot tub with their teacher and another random adult, like we know it's Spencer, but they've never met him before. All that being said this crossover is still so important to me

There actually was a whole episode where Robbie went to therapy to deal with Rex. I don't really remember what exactly it was but Robbie does genuinely have some mental problems that resulted in Rex.

given that the thing that concerns Mathew the most is that Rex is treated as a separate entity from Robbie, I think it would be really interesting to see him react to the episode "Rex Dies". That episode shocked me when I was a kid and still shocked me when I rewatched the show recently, so it would be a perfect fit to see him react to that. I believe that the whole Rex-Robbie thing is something really odd even for Victorious standards, and the creators knew it, so they exploited it and never gave a proper explanation to it and that just makes it weirder but also funnier in a way

I live in the Netherlands and you could literally walk into a lot of schools without security. I don’t actually know any schools here that have security
I live in England and the only thing stopping a random teen from getting in would be the uniform, but there's nothing stopping a non student buying the uniform. They would have to know enough about the school to get the correct tie though, and would have to find somewhere to hide during classes. Unless a class had a substitute teacher who wasn't paying attention, I highly doubt you could attend a random class.
Thinking about it, it probably would be difficult to stay on school grounds all day without being caught as a non student. I could be wrong though.
@@lisahenry20We don’t have school uniforms here and our teachers literally never call out names to find who’s present. They just do it quietly. So for that matter anyone could be in any class at any point 😂
Robbie is very mentally ill. Theres actually an entire episode dedicated to his friends trying to get him to let go of the puppet by faking it's death. He cries over the puppet's hospital bed and everything. But in the end his friends decided that of all the copinf mechanisms to have the puppet isnt that bad. Bevause Cat's uncle rubs chicken grease on his feet on a regular basis

For context on the Rex puppet, it’s more to do with Robbie having some kind of mental thing where Rex is the dominant personality and Robbie is the weakling who should be in control but isn’t

Do people actually have security like that at their schools? I've heard this asked about multiple scenes in shows where a kid from a different school goes in but my school had like 5 or 6 different buildings and each one had multiple entrances, even if they didn't I feel like no one would know if you didn't go there because there was 2000+ people. What do schools normally do? Do they have an officer stationed at the front entrance or something?
After a bit of thinking, it probably wouldn't have been possible to go to my old school (in England with about 1000 students) and get away with it for the whole day.
Firstly there is the uniform. It would initially be simple enough, you'd just have to buy it, but you'd also have to know which tie you'd need to blend in with students who look a similar age. Each year group has their own tie, and it rotates so students use the same tie throughout their time at school. You probably wouldn't get away with wearing a tie for someone in their first year if you looked like a final year.
Then during school, you could get away with walking through the corridors between classes, as long as you followed the crowd. But the school did have a one way system, and not being familiar with it may raise suspicions (although plenty of students try to go the wrong way so they don't have to go the wrong way).
During classes is when you'd probably be caught. You probably couldn't get away with wandering through the halls. All students are supposed to be in class, and a student not being in class would raise suspicions. And while staff don't constantly monitor the halls, there are enough moving around the school who would notice you. There aren't many places I can think of for where you could hide. Even the bathrooms wouldn't have worked, at least not with how they were when I was at the school last (anti bullying toilets), and classrooms are locked when not in use. High school students didn't have free periods so no hiding in the library.
And I'm almost certain that you couldn't attend a random class. With every teacher I had, they were either in the process of learning all their students and so would be almost constantly checking their registers and seating plans, or they would know the students in their class and recognise a random student in their class.
@@lisahenry20 wow, I would have hated a school that rigid but I guess it does make it safer. We didn't have a free period but I'm sure people could have hid in the bathrooms or something or even somewhere outside between buildings. We also didn't have a uniform so you could just wear a hoodie and jeans and fit right in. That's so interesting how different schools can be. It definitely didn't feel very safe at mine, we had a few lockdowns while I was there because of crimes that happened in the area. Staff was worried that the criminals would come to our campus to hide since it was so open. It was kind of more like a tiny college campus the way it was set up.
4:00 in my experience the doors lock automatically but some doors are left open when school starts and between classes because you have to go to a different classroom.

I went to high school from 2009-2013 (in the US) and yes some random teen could have easily walked in with us in the morning. There was a short window the doors were unlocked for students to come in, so he could have walked in then. After that time they locked though, so you have to ring into the high school.
