Honestly Spencer had some pretty good patience for people just breaking into his house
Imagine paying for 100% of the rent only for your little sister's friends to use up 80% of the house's resources
Re!gn yeah he only used 20% Especially since Carly has a big room AND a studio which costs quite alot of power
Re!gn to be fair, I’m pretty sure their dad paid the rent.

@@ms.pirate it's a joke in and of itself because it calls attention to the sitcom trope icarly followed of characters always just walking into other peoples' homes without asking.
Real. A lot of the people in the comments are saying he should get a lock as if he doesn't already have 2 on the front door. It remains unlocked because Spencer hears when Sam talks about how bad her home life is. He also knows firsthand what Freddie's mom is like. The Shay residence might be the only place these kids CAN go to for peace besides maybe the Groovy Smoothie. I think he'd actually be pretty sad if they all stopped coming around.

Facts
Can we talk about how great Spencer was as a parental figure? Yes, he did crazy and sometimes dangerous artwork. Yes, he got frustrated with a lack of privacy. Yes, he decided to put spaghetti on tacos.
But he also made a home for his little sister when their parents left them alone. He sheltered Freddie from his borderline abusive and incredibly invasive mother. He protected Sam from a really shitty home life. Spencer gets written off as this wacky, funny character but he was a young guy who was a father figure to three kids and did a fucking fantastic job making sure they turned out to be decent human beings. A king 👑
He was literally the only reason I watched the show. I loved the episodes when he and Gibby bonded over artwork, because it's some of the few times you see them both really happy
