Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Zack, you are the real deal! So nice of you to receive Nick’s wish and take him to Midwest Machinery AND share lunch with him. You rock! 🇨🇦
It was fun having him!
@@MillennialFarmer It's a win-win. You have fun, he's gonna remember that for a long time, and we get a lovely heartwarming open to a video. Everyone wins.
You can judge a person by how they interact with kids and dogs, So look at how much the kids and dogs love Zach
Hey Zack you a good man making a kids dream come true
Great job my friend both you and Nick are going to remember this day. Stay strong and get better Nick Canadian friends 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
It was really awesome to see your farm in real life. I've watched your videos for a long time, and it felt surreal to actually be there and be able to help turn on the grain elevator and load a truck it's always been my dream to be on your farm for a day and see Midwest machinery and get lunch with you also to meet you and Onyx. Thank you, Zach Johnson
Just let me say I'm 64 year's old and what you did warm my heart and put tears in my eye's....God Bless you and ur family
Donald, I'm older than you and it did the same for me. Zack shows his generosity very often on this awesome channel. He's the real deal for sure.
Zach you are one STAND UP GUY for putting a big smile on that man's face
Both my boys were Make A Wish kids. Thank you for taking the time to make a kid smile, it really does mean a lot to the whole family.
I love it when UA-camrs get involved with Make-A-Wish I love seeing those kids being happy
Zack you will be blessed for showing such kindness.
Yes! He already IS! For possessing skills, youth (with land "to boot") must SURELY possess, already, a large measure of blessing(s)!
You are a good man Zach for the Make a Wish. Nice to see your dad back. Have a good planting season.
❤
Your dad is the nicest guy I don’t know. He sounds like such a calm and caring man.
Love how the dogs just sit nice in the back of the ranger.
I'm beginning to think he got the 4 door just because of the dogs
Zach, I think one of the reasons your channel stands out is your willingness to do things like make a wish and other fundraisers.
Thank you for giving Nick a day he will cherish forever....
Zack, your one hell of a guy! I wish the world was full of people like you!
Wow, Onyx has grown up a lot in the last couple of years. He's going to be a good farmer.
You taking nick and making his wish come true really shows the type of guy you are. That’s awesome. I know it’s far from the same but my sister has special needs and absolutely loves your channel and updates me the minute you upload a new video. Keep it up man!!
Zack you are so kind to take time to do make a wish at such a busy time for you. Kudos
Hey Zack! Yes plant right into that light soil. Keep the mmmmmoooisture under the top dry layer. We don't till anything so the wet soil underneath stays moist ! Good luck !
Zach if that ground is light at the shooting park just no-till the beans in. That straw will help hold in the moisture.
Plant right through it. The wheat gave good tillith, and creates a moisture barrier when left alone.
Side note, I would really like to see some uncut footage of Becky editing the recordings. There has to be eye rolls and head shaking!
I would say no till into the wheat stubble. Once the heat comes, its going to get hot and with the stubble it will help keep the soil temp down and moisture in the soil.
Zach, that boy will remember the trip to Minnesota for the rest of his life. Thank you for making that dream come true for him!
Zach you are the MAN for making his wish come true!
I love the highway in the background. Taking out clay pigeons and random drivers. 🙌
The k
I live in rural Iowa and have several family members that are in the AG industry. I have also been a quadriplegic for most of my life and use a wheelchair similar to Luke's. It's great that you were able to show him around the farm and machinery. I also enjoyed my time around my family's farm.
Great Job Sir with the make a wish kid. God Bless!
HELLO FROM INDIANA! As a 12 year old verticle tiller, i know how fun cultivation is!
Onyxs' voice is changing, you've got a young man on your hands! You have done well Zack, being that young mans father!!
Thanks for just being a caring human. Cheers
Nick looked like he was having fun! Love seeing you make a wish come true Zach, legit.
Awesome job taking time to help out Make-A-Wish. So if you have a wedding venue at the gun range you can have a shotgun wedding in a minutes notice. Good video, thanks.
Always been a fan since pretty early on. Had no reason to think otherwise, but the fact that Zach is a truly kind hearted person and granted this kids wish. That sealed it, my wife and I are fans for life. God bless you and your family and prayers for the lucky kid and his 200mph chair!
Maybe four decades ago, doctors came out with this kick against salt. Some of us never worked in offices. Lack of salt and electrolytes could kill you and it almost did more than once. Salt tablets were a necessary part of the kit. When you drank all kinds of water and just felt sick, it was well past time for electrolytes. Glad to see some sanity on this subject. Early in the season is when it catches you before you remember.
A woman recently died from drinking too much water.
As always, we should be relying on appropriately trained medical professionals. Not some random company throwing a bunch on money and trendy clickbait words around.
99.99% of those youtube adverts are for questionable products.
Not many farmers would take time to make a wish come true for a kid. What a guy, kudos to you Zach!
If Nick sees this, there are about a million of us that are jealous of you for spending some time out there.
I'm one of them
South of you... Not far from the Ethanol Plant...We finished planting Thursday night before the rain. 😊
Plant straight into the wheat stubble. You’ve got row cleaners I’m sure.
Thank you for granting a wish!!! You made that boys day❤❤
The Finger lakes region is considered the "Southern Tier" region. My back yard! good on you for making his wish come true!
This was very special for Nick!! I was lucky to hear all about it from him. Keep spreading joy!
He's a great kid!
So great that you support and participate with Make-A-Wish! Well done Millennial Farmer, well done 👊
were you ever a private pilot? maybe a printed checklist that you keep in each tractor would be a good thing. You seem to forget how to set things up every year. :)
It is amazing to see Zach take time out of one of the busiest times of the year to help Nick
Zach, echoing my fellow viewers. Great job with Nick, he will never forget that day.
My first comment ever here. I am watching you for 6 years now and it is the first time you ever will plant corn earlier than we do in germany.
We had a kid from make a wish bless his heart come out to our farm for our harvest it was a heart warming moment and I teared up when the actor that plays the Millennial farmer said make a wish
The Welkers did a wish years ago. Took a fellow for a Big Bud ride. Make memories for the guy for a lifetime!!
Millennial Farmer is 👍 and makes memories for the guy a lifetime...thank you, MF-- Zach and Becky
Well done sir!, pay it forward, you made this young mans day. My son and I loves your channel. Thank you
God bless you Zach, for taking the time to make lives that little bit better for those whose lives aren't as good as ours.
Through teary eyes I say again; "thank you, and God bless".
Major honors to you and your family for the make a wish recipient! Hope to see Nick in the field!
As for the wheat ground go no tile.
Fuck yea that was awsome zach and who ever put that together for the kid in the awsome chair that made his year im sure that was so nice and made me so happy
Nice to see your dad again. Hope he had a great time in Arizona.
Nice work sir on the make a wish. What an honor to be chosen by that young man!
Fun fact . Here in New Zealand they say the average soil temp for the day is what ever it reads at 9am .
That opening was downright heartwarming!
Thank you for helping out with Nick’s wish a wonderful gesture !!!
That's my red tractor. Getting the planter inspected. 12th season running the 1770nt with the red tractor. Running the planter with just the 700 monitor.
I think I'd try planting beans right in that wheat stubble. I never used to think much of it but I see more every year now and the crops look good in light ground like that.
That's awesome doing what you can when you can to support make-a-wish.
It'd be less cool but still awesome to see a deep ripper or root plow in the fields. Followed by a large tandem pasture aerator. To relevel the field, improve water retention and reduce compaction.
Keep up the good work fueling the country.
Thanks Zach for taking time for make a wish 👍👍👍👍 and o yeah go eagles
Good to see "Dad" back - looking younger all the time!
Great to see Nick! I hope he got to meet your family and Jim!
Absolutely awesome what you did for that child, that is so cool. Thanks Zack
Bless you for taking the time to brighten a young mans day.
Out here in Maryland we plant right through the wheat stubble with a heavy deer population here it gives some protection on the beans the first couple weeks
You made that young man's Day
It’s wonderful what make a wish. And the people working together to make kids wishes come true. Zack you keep up the good work. You all are a inspiration for all of us
I would love to see you plant soybeans right into the wheat field beings that it’s so dry maybe the left over straw will help hold the moisture
So glad you were able to make that young man’s wish come true. Class act over there in MN. Greetings from Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Hi as a farmer in Alberta Canada i would recommend to just leave the wheat field and plant into the ground as is
Fantastic work and looking forward to the planting season. Prayers to you and the family. Stay safe.
Thanks for another great video Zach.
It was most interesting and enjoyable.
Sincerely appreciate your kindness to the Make A Wish young man. Due to the rain at the farm you took him to the John Deere dealer to look at the big machinery. The smile on his face shows he enjoyed that. Thanks again for your kindness!!!!!
Good to see your dad again. Always enjoy your dad. Imagine he is anxious to get in the field again with tillage and planting.
Thanks for showing us your ground work and how close you are to getting the planter going.
Your new tractor and planter will be going soon I am sure. Anxious to hear how you like the new tractor and planter. Really nice equipment Zach.
About it for now. Thanks for everything Zach. Take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I liked the smile and the comment "it's spring". I remember that feeling that spring always brought. WOW, I miss the farm life.
Thank you for sharing with others 😊
Go to an rv store. They have a hitch flag you put on the tongue that's held by a magnet. Or, you can install a aftermarket radio deck and logo camera and have it tied into it.
Thats awesome!! Thanks for making time out for him
God Bless you for what you do!
Great video the intro was great awesome job Zack spending a little time with the young man.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Great to see your helping with the make a wish foundation. Have you ever thought of giving the regenerative AG a try like OLF is doing. Wishing you and your family the best.
I love the respect shown by father to son to son. Bless you
it's amazing to see that average people like Zach that just hit it big on youtube are doing great things like receiving Nick's wish, we need more people like Zach, I'm sure he's busy most days getting ready for the planting season to start, but he still finds the time to go out for the morning and honor Nick's wish is amazing! My best wishes to Nick as well!
Awesome make a wish! Also, Onix's voice has deepened so much from fall to now! He is growing fast!
Such a honor to host a great young man! So cool! Trade ya weather. We had extensive horrific tornadoes here in Western Iowa. By the grace of God none of my family or friends received damage. Which is insane considering the tornadoes went through just about every town I have family and friends in. Absolutely terrifying to see the severe destruction.
Thanks for your kindness.❤️🇨🇦
It put a smile to my face seeing you make that guys dream. Those with mental or physical issues are angels in disguise. Btw for the field you were talking about, you can till it, but the moisture might decrease. Yet again, seeding it straight away might prove beneficial. I know people hate fence sitters, but it depends all on the moisture content in the field and the weather to come before the end of spring.
Good to see Nick enjoying his visit to the Millennial Farm. It’s hard to say who the bigger winner was on that matchup. 👍
Zack I enjoy your videos and how much time you share things to us keep.up the good work . I was raised on the farm in Illinois I now live in Houston Texas thanks so much
Onyx called it chisel plowing not digging lol.
Make-A-Wish foundation is awesome! So glad to see you take the time to support.
Zack is one of the greatest UA-cam people known to man. He has a heart that cares for other people which is very cool to see. We need more people like him!! Keep up the good work Zack and stay safe out there!!
So excited for the planting season to start!❤️❤️❤️
God bless you zach,whole heartedly
Thank you Zach.
Woah, you made his day. He will never forget it. I sincerely hope to see him again, like you said, in the future. His eyes lit up when you told him.
That’s awesome Zach showing that young man some cool machinery
You are a good person dude. Nice you take time for stuff like that. Plus, I've learned a lot about tractors and farming
nothing but love and respect for you guys always building others up and improving the community. don't ever change.
Wow. You must feel pretty good knowing his wish was to meet you. Thanks for brightening my day with that. Much love!
Very fine. God bless that young man and his family. And thank you Zach and family.
Awesome to see you spend time with that kid! Well done!
Awesome way to give back to those less fortunate and good reminder to all of us that are so lucky and take it for granted. Zack you are a hell of a man may you and your family be blessed. Hopefully the rain going on in our area is good for you and all the other farmers here in MN.
Shooting towards a highway is wild
