As a Latino I do not think it is a stereotype it is a real thing going on in our culture and I’m happy that it is being shown to people!

So disgusting how a woman, a mother can sit there and allow her children to be victimized.

This needs to happen more often; hold your family members accountable! I applaud her for what she did! She stood up for those victims and didn't deny what happened to them.
Normalize holding your family members accountable!
And mind you, this doesn't only happen in Latin households. It happens in Black households too! I don't know if this happens in white households (*it probably does*) but regardless of race/ethnicity, hold your family members ACCOUNTABLE! When they bully, abuse, etc!
I HATE low-lives who stick by the side of their family members! IDGAF if its your kids, aunt, uncle, parents, grandparents, cousins, siblings, whomever the f***, KNOWING FULL F***IN' WELL THEY'RE WRONG!!!! And then they wanna boo-hoo cry when something happens to them!
I applaud this girl for going against her family! 👏🏽 She's a real one! 💯 And I wish her nothing but the best and protection!

Confirmed…I was told that it’s normal when I called out a parent for a child’s allegations of sexual abuse by a family member. She basically told me that it happened to her so it was bound to happen to her son. Just stupid.

im salvadoran. My family is an extremely toxic and violent environment for any woman to live in. They will hit women, beat women, my mom has been hit by my brother, my dad has tried manhandling me. There's lot of porn addiction and vices. The image of happy, colorful hispanic "family is everything" is bullshit for a lot of families. A lot of it doesnt help that it has to do with poverty either. These families form when theyre dirt poor.

This is a world-wide thing not specific to any race, the problem is people are rooted in their beliefs of staying for the kids and taking all the abuse ,im Latina but thank God my dad thaught me otherwise if someone dont want to be with you dont beg or stay leave because staying with someone who dont wnt you that bottles up and turns into not just verbal but physical abuse and kids grow up seeing this ,and the cycle repeats itself
