We would all be blessed to spend our whole lives and making a living doing what we love...I'm not really a big Slipknot fan,I'm a drummer and will listen to any genre of music with great drumming..I was so enamored with Joey...just a animal on the kit..Now watching alot of these videos after he passed just makes me realize how caring he was...RIP
Slipknot was Joey (& the rest of the 9 but not really the point, his contribution to Slipknot was ALL Joey, ALL #1), you're saying you don't like Joey when you say that. you love Nathan, it's fine to not like it, it's just joey put so much of who/what he was & what was inside of him into Slipknot. As much as Slipknot meant to him & what he put into it not liking it is almost like not liking him imo.
I do not think he would have been a good fit in the long run. He fit the heavy parts good but in many songs he rushed the tempo way too much so some of it lost the heaviness because of that. Would have been cool to hear one faster album written with him!

Personally, I think the tempo on this version of Blind is a bit to fast, its either that Korn like to play it like this now? Or it's just that Joey is used to playing at such a fast tempo I don't really know. LOVE LOVE LOVE this song though

This just sounds "thin" compared to how david plays. I love both of them, but I'm just talking abot style, and for korn there's no better drummer than david.

actually no its not i have seen all 9 members say after corey and james get done with this tour they will tour with stone sour and then they are going back to iowa and doing another album with slipknot they already have songs for it cause they left some off the all hope is gone album. they are nowhere close to being done you can watch some of the videos on youtube look them up just type in slipknot interviews

Musicians, just like arts, were given roles that were respected. I know that many individuals still feel that way, but society as a whole has shifted its perspective. Instead of using it for immaterial purposes, music is a billion dollar a year industry.. We can see the tree for the fruit it bears.
Give him a chance.. he's been with another band for years... another band with a VERY distinctive style and sound. He's talented enough to either adapt or make his sound palatable here.
