One things for sure you'll definitely 😁 be able to hear the bass in this version 😉
I was able to hear it even in normal version its becouse your sense of hearing is not sharp enough 🧑🦲
@@mbednarek I think he was being sarcastic. you can hear Fieldy's bass on practically anything they play
@@mbednarek Went right over your head! lmao
@@Schatje79 Jeez.. Some people
@@michaelpalermo354 😁😁😁
man Korn killed it. back here to listen 17yrs later. amazing
Tell me about it, I always come back every few years lol
💯💯💯
They weren't about to fuck with the solo at the end though.
Me too
@@destroyrebuild They could if they wanted to, they just had a time limit because this was being filmed live by MTV. Don't underestimate their ability to play guitar solos just because they don't play them in their original music. Brian Welch used to play Eruption by Van Halen note for note back in the day. Brian could have smoked that solo!
I can only imagine the bass if they ever released a studio recording.
The closest you’ll get is on the Live and Rare album, it sounds pretty damn good too.
I'm pretty sure a version of this was on Korn's Greatest Hits.
that bass is insane
@@joeylummox7330 not really, but you were very close :) this cover is a secret track in "Take a look in the mirror" You have to wait 10 minutes after the last song of the album ends and this version of one will start playing.
@@Kriegerisch1991 I remember buying follow the leader thinking the cd was broken😂
no one could ever compete with davis's head bang, truly phenomenal
He used to bang and throw his whole body around like a dog shaking a toy in it's jaws. Psycho, and awesome.
Tom Araya. While playing the base. He had to stop because of doctor's order or he'll break his neck. That's head banging!
@@comments7335
He had neck cervical fusion surgey. He have to be careful even for sneezing .

Let's face it
This is by far one of the best covers ever done!
I love korn but I thought this wasn't the song for them ! Korn-1 Brian-0
I don't think so. I think they are playing way to fast. Their cover of Another Brick in the Wall is by far the best cover. Next is probably Avenge Sevenfold covering "Walk" from Pantera.
@@brianpinion5844 ok
Korn fans are korny.
@@stevenmorrison4692 I feel like there speed could go with frayed ends of sanity or blackened
FUN FACT: This live recirding is a hidden track on the end if their Take a Look in the Mirror album 🤘
I can’t find it
@@anthonywilliams7683 it's after the last song on the cd. The song ends and then it's just silence for about 10 minutes and then it starts playing 👌
no waaayyy, that shit is trueeeeee!! brooooooooooooooo
Thank you! Just been listening on UA-cam in work then saw your comment, straight to my music library and there it is 🤘
@@FallenGod90 Happy to help man. I had no idea what the hell was going on when I first heard it start playing after the long silence haha
Fieldy is such an underrated bassist.
Oh, most definitely! He is a legend in my book. Nobody else plays like him.
Actually he is no 3 bassist in the world ranking.
Its fieldy still member korn ?
Fieldy is average at most. Just because he has his own style, doesn't mean he's very skilled at playing bass.
@@ahmad-pz1cc No, left last year officially. Or is taking a long ass break. Isn't included in their merch anymore
Who's here March 2024 for this hit!!! 🔥🔥🔥
April 2024 mate!!
@@MarighnamaniMr Yeah!
April 2024 hahaha
Who cares?
April lol
The part where JD sings the word Hell sounds like a thousand demons escaping at once! Incredible how many layers there are to his voice!
i loved it when they first came out they played alot of real small venues but they tore the place down to . hearing blind in 3k max building brings a man to violence , it does
I love it too, it just sounds so good
four layers, first layer himself, second is valak, third is Annabella, forth is ace ventura
That head banging was personal.
I like when they do the double kick the camera crew shows Lars mimicking the movement and smiling, he must really be proud of that part of the song
He should be, you hear that same style of riff in 80% of metalcore breakdowns, these days.
@@robertt2603 done substantially better by kids in their late teens.
@@tomnehek That's not the point lmao. Lars is ass, whatever. Beat a dead horse. He basically created the modern metal breakdown
@@tomnehekYet you can’t name a better example than this song 😂
@@Matteus72123because there’s too many to name
That’s a kick ass cover by Korn!
Jonathan’s voice fits perfectly 🤘🏻🇸🇪🤘🏻
When Korn covers a song, you can be sure it kick's ass!
Fieldy's bass add so much to this!
You're right. It's adds a shit tonne of fret buzz and that's about it!
@@halfwayquiet well if you don't like korn don't listen to them lol
@@Kriegerisch1991 haha I don't. This just happened to force itself on me unbidden... 🤣
@@halfwayquiet 🥲 I'm sorry for you
@@halfwayquiet And it sounds fucking amazing
Fieldy slappin that bass with Jonathan’s raw vocals makes this rendition of one just absolutely amazing! Best Cover of one ever! 🤘🔥💪💯
Slappinn the basss!
Saw Korn perform yesterday and they played One. It was awesome. Also stopped before the big guitar solo.
@ghost mall as solo's go this is relatively easy song......im sure they can play it....but bands especially from the early 90's dont believe in guitar solos.....the 80s killed the guitar solo.....it took some time for them to matter again...
@ghost mall it just not a part of their style, dont think it would be hard technicaly for them
@@possiblyinsane6995 - actually, they did the entire solos for Pink Floyd's The Wall part 1&2.
Yeah, I saw them too, but they don't play this whole song live anymore it's just the end instrumental part.
@@vera_n500 Yes, it would be challenging for them. These guys are average rythm guitar players at the most, not lead guitar players. Famous, well known, popularity, good at writing songs does not mean good lead! Just on playing rythm guitar, James Hetfield is much more skilled than both and Kirk is technically superior than James.
I wish Korn would do a covers album and include a new recording of this song!! This version is awesome and I love it, but a studio recording would be awesome too! 🤘🏼🔥🔥
Supposedly they have a bunch of covers stashed away and have been meaning to release them on a covers album call korn undercover for some time now. One day we'll probably get them
@@kylestrange4494 I sure hope so! That would be an awesome album to listen to. In the meantime they’ll just keep teasing us about it cuz they know we want it. 😎 I truly love these guys!
@@kylestrange4494 UnderKoveЯ
I would love to see them cover helmet unsung
Me too
Maybe the most AGGRESSIVE headband I’ve ever witnessed from Jonathan at 3:15
Nada que ver, ve blind dallas 1995
a headband is a part of a headphone
Lol that’s fair thanks for making me realize I didn’t put headbang 4 months ago
His vocals are absolutely amazing
Actually Ray Luzier would slay this song, but damn how I miss David Silveria in Korn
Silverias heavy ass hitting went just fine though
As soon as he left korn he lost himself lol, sad because he was basically the first dude to get me into drumming
KORN = SILVERIAS SOUNDS
I love that korn played in their tuning ADGCF, the breakdown hits soo different🤤
Wow! This sound quality is soooo much better. Thank you so much!!! 🔥
You're welcome.
Dude! That scream at 3:50 Jonathan is sooo good.
Im proud that i lived in this metal era!💯🔥
David is such a great drummer!
i’m better
@@918_brad_smith3
Show us.
He's the king of double bass 🤘
He added to the fusion aspects of Korn by integrating the hip-hop beats in to their songs but hardly *ever* used double bass lol. Listen to Pantera or Meshuggah for double bass grooves
Greatest performance from KoRn!
I was at the show in Saginaw in March and they played one out of nowhere it was one of the greatest experiences if my life
@@ryanharden3884 Ryan, they always play part of One during the song Shoots & Ladders, I just saw them in Ohio in August and they played the end part but they haven't did the whole song in many years.
I'll never get tired of hearing that bass
how it sounds horrible
Sound like a wood
This is to date (IMO) the best cover performance ever!
Used to be my favorite until they did the Pink Floyd Cover.
@@led.zepper I get you! This one just always spoke to me in a different way! But yeah, they know how to do a great cover!
Limp bizkit Welcome home Sanitarium
By Korn? Sure
It shivers down my spine everytime I see it for decade.
JD’s voice is just so damn powerful!! Absolutely one of the best covers I’ve ever heard!!
That bass really killed it n' took the song to another level.
I remember taping this on VHS & watching it that whole summer! How is this now 20yrs ago this month!?!? LEGENDARY!!!
Pink Floyd loved their cover of ABITW. They got a standing ovation from the legendary Metallica! Jimmy Page attended one of their concerts. They destroyed Woodstock 1999.
They headlined the Apollo in NYC playing their album Issues in it's entirety. They persevered after they lost their most crucial member Brian Welch from 2006-2012.
Their most recent 4 albums are some of their best CD's they've ever released.
It's pretty much safe to say that Korn has reached immortal status/God status in the music industry, like them or not!
💯!
God I remember watching this live and it STILL gives me chills everytime. This was one of the best performances I've ever heard.
Remember Limewire? That's where I first "streamed" this. It was also the first time I’ve heard of Metallica. And that was 19 years ago. From then on, I’ve seen covers after covers of this, but damn it, Korn still holds the best version of this song, bar none.
I watched this live on tv and taped it so I had it whenever I wanted to see it but the coolest thing was when the take a look in the mirror album came out later that year the last track had this as a bonus after like 2 minutes of silence this cover came on so I used to jam on this a lot in the cd player back then I wish Spotify would bring that version back tbh
Such an iconic moment in music history.. Metallica's reaction was nothing short of priceless but then again, how could they not be impressed with Korn?
EPIC COVER!! Fieldy is one of the greatest bass players of all time. Ive never seen someone slap a bass like that & its pure magic
Korn man what can you say?! The basses, vocals, battery also the unique tone of KORN’s music itself…
Never got bored watching this vid over and over again...feels like this song was really made for KORN at the first place. Kind of best metallica cover ever... ❤
The best formation from KoRn
Good job offering a better quality for this classic performance!
20 años después y me sigue erizando la piel cada vez que la escucho...
I’ve always loved this performance! I remember watching it live.
This and I gotta say limp bizcits version of sanitarium rocked!!
Still gives me goosebumps... korn showing Metallica how awesome they are but also how that song should always sound!
You can’t beat the original but it’s undeniable in its awesomeness
For the love of all that is holy and unholy, please release a full cover of the song!!!! So freaking good and, yet, so painful that it's truncated.
They did. Check the album, take a look in the mirror and it's in the track "when will this end". Unless they released it separate on a different album.
Oh wait, nevermind. It doesn't contain the solo.
I pretty sure they cut parts that they couldn't play, or play well enough.
@@ChristopherMcLarenExperience Also it was on TV and a nearly 8 minute song was too long for broadcast.
@@artonline01 That's cool.
Metal is the genre where everyone is welcomed and everyone is a part of a big family
Man, that is one of the sickest live moments I have had the pleasure of seeing! Remastered, thank you! To see the band getting hyped on their own track, to see Korn offering such a show of respect to the band, and the audience was insane. Yeah, I'm watching that a few more times right now.
James and Lars would have LOVED the amount of bass here 🤣
I remember I replayed and replayed this for like a year straight back in that year... That ending did and still does BLOW MY MIND.
I still come back to this from time to time...Fieldy is underrated.
One of the best covers ever
This is clean. Doesn't feel ages ago. Dam I'm old lol
Bro, you just made this even more heavier than the actual live version, really well done 👍👍👍
the bass..omg!!so..crispy!!n with jonathan vocal, its the..best one cover ive ever heard..period!!😅😅
Miss the good old days.
Absolutely one of the best covers of all time
I love that sound of that bass! 😊❤
Thank You for sharing this amazing song 🙏😇🤘🤩
One of my favourite bands covering my favourite song from another one of my favourite bands, its a match made in heaven
I dare say, Korn may be the best at doing covers. I mean “Another Brick In The Wall Pt 1,2,3”, “One”, and AIC “Would?” are phenomenal. Cameo’s “Word Up” and War’s “Lowrider” and so many more. They dudes deserve waaay more respect as musicians.
i love how the whole metallica crew is there
This needs a studio cover, Korn nails this song. I heard them play the end of it once at a concert.
love that korn almost always plays that one part in their medleys. so epic
It’s cool to see young Guy Fieri in the audience 0:41
The sound of bass is badass
One of the best covers 😊
nothing taking away from korns performance. theyre my favorite band ever. but hearing their past stories and knowing that at this moment some of them we on stage high and fuck and did a performance like this? sensational. im happy and proud they cleaned up their act. korn is amazing
The funked out bass sound is a nice addition
It was amazing to watch as the members of Metallica looked so proud. Like they just loved the new generation of metal
I loved how proud Metallica looked :>
O Chester foi um dos apresentadores nesse tributo ao Metálica, época que deixou saudades e que infelizmente não volta mais
I have never loved Jonathan's voice more than on that "HHHEEELLLLLLLLL!!!"
Love that you can still hear that iconic Korn/munky slap!
the slap is form fieldy not munky
Still gives me chills
Das waren noch Zeiten...
One of the Best concerts in existence!
David did a great job on the drums...i know Lars' style is not as challenging for most advanced drummers, but is cool how David just keeps it as it is and not overdoing it. And might I add how perfectly solid the drums sound overall
korn always rips, this is awesome
A wall of sound as a punch in the face, a locomotive through your body.
All riffs are tuned down.
And Jonathan performance is amazing.
Great musicians.
How many years has been passed still can't get enough of 3:15 - 3:26
Yeah I feel it same. Its sad they cut from the old version some forefronts of the JD´s head banging part but its still amazing
Saw them perform this cover at the Continental Airlines Arena in 2002 and they absolutely killed it.
I was watched Korn play this rendition live back in 2011. Just the fast part though. It was fucking insane!!! Really like the way Korn covers this song.
18 years later and this still brings chills to my skin
I remember this moment, just like yesterday. Watched it on MTV.
I'm so grateful that I get to live in the same time as Metallica and Korn. Love them both!
love Johnathan's headbanging
This will forever be my favorite version of this song! But then anyting that Korn does is beyond amazing and great!!!!
Well, I don’t know about that! It is a kick ass version, but the original……
20 years later ill still remember watching this on MTV in my parent's house. such a good show
Lars sitting there like damn he played drums better than me
Amazing remaster bro! 1000 thanks to you!
Loved!!
make a grown lady cry, so good🤟
Love this version
The quality is so real and modern it’s like u were actually there
One of Korn's best performances live ever, especially with David Sylveria, I miss the OG lineup! 👊🏾🤘🏾
Beautifully remastered 🔥👏
i love this performance sooooooooo much
Technician: How loud do you want the bass?
Fieldy: YES
They would usually play this at the end part of Shoots & Ladders. It started happening to their live shows after they played this at the MTV Icon. It's so awesome.
My heart goes out to all combat vets, especially my son.
Que tremenda versión, el cover perfecto de One ❤️
