My 95 year old grandmother once told me wrestling was fixed, so I put her in a full Nelson, that shut her up
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cruel joke! Wrestling is ingeniously staged and choreographed however they do get hurt.
LMAOOOOO !! 🤣
I love that answer!! That will teach her😂😂😂
Don't forget the part where she Broke Out and put your Ass in the Figure Four and made you, "Give Up"
I was at This Wrestling Event with My Late Father on May 21 1985 at Portland Oregon Memorial Colosseum.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💘💘💘💘💘💘💘😍😍😍
I was there! Good times!! This was at the old Memorial Coliseum.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
THIS IS WHAT YOU CALLED OLD SCHOOL WRESTLING AT IT'S BEST....THE NATURE BOY KNEW HOW TO PACE A MATCH. ESCAPING THE FULL NELSON JUST IN TIME.
Billy Jack had a great physique...
Way better than that sharpay puppy
It's good to see real pro wrestling fans for a change. This is historical stuff. I wish Billy Jack at least wore the IC title.
Reality Check Over 3,000 videos dating back to 1977 are on here already and I have a thousand more still to upload, so stick around!!
That & NWA world tv belt.
And also Herb Abrams' UWF Sports Channel championship.
I chauffeured comedian Freddy Lewis to this match. He called me (collect from a payphone ) 3 days later from Tonopah, AZ for a ride home.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎈🎉🎈🎉 BILLY JACK HAYNES and many more my Oregon Brother 👍 July 10th 2023 God bless you brother.
The crowd is right on top of the ring!
Always liked Billy Jack, I have to think, in real life, Billy would tear Ricks head off
I grew up sneaking into the family room late on Saturday nights to watch Portland Wrestling. Billy Jack Haynes was my hero! Actually got to attend a match once. We tried to get Dutch Savage's autograph. He stayed in character and yelled at us for coming too far into the Crow's nest. The Dude was terrifying!
So much amazing talent went through Portland!
Little known fact: Comedian Freddy Lewis briefly toyed with the idea of calling himself Freddy Jack Lewis! xoxo The Clarences
Sandy Barr wore an actual referee shirt, showing respect for the Champ.
Flair always made other wrestlers look good in their area. Just didn't let them win the Belt. Except Kerry Von Erich. And that was for his brother David
True story 👍
Rick sold that first shove like a BOSS!
Look at that crowd!!!
I can’t believe I haven’t seen this before! Thank you for posting this!!!
UA-cam is awesome!!
@@sjjackson2125 Agreed 👍
@@sjjackson2125 yes it is
Billy Jack coming to the ring on Diana Ross's "Muscles."
I Like Rick Rude's theme music Better.
😁😁😁😁😁😁😆😆😆😆😆😁😁😁😁😁
This match was n portland..not seattle
Nice piece of history.
Billy Jack Haynes biggest mistake was leaving Crockett in the mid 80s to go to the WWF. Could've been a big star for them , instead he became another guy buried in that circus known as the WWF .
No..His biggest mistake was being a witness to the Mena Arkansas Murders..
Billy says Crockett screwed him money wise.
I worked with Billy and that was not even close to being his biggest mistake! LOL!!! But, we are all just human. :-)
@@JFPriest Maybe not the "witnessing" but everything around it.. He told, he bought his supply from Barry Seal - but I am not so sure, hollywood would make a movie about Billy Jerk ((c) Bobby Heenan).
Amen JL!!!!!!!!!
Billy Jack was way ahead of his time.
Billy Jack e muito lindo 😍😍😍💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️❤️🏆🏆🏆
In real life BJ would have taken him to the woodshed..
I always wondered why Billy Jack Haynes wasn't a bigger talent than he was.
I really really wish he would have stayed in either NWA or WWF. Those were his best runs. He was a good one. I was always an NWA guy, I watched all the promotions but prefered the NWA.
Which NWA territory was your favorite?
@@rickjames2.0 The Carolinas
1981 ft Lauderdale yankee spring traning stadium seen them go at it met both before match both great ez going men! great match
Always loved Billy Jack. Always thought he looked like A bigger Macho Man. If he could worked like Mach could and had that charisma Vince would have put the belt on him forever.
Flair defended the title in Portland against Playboy Buddy Rose at least once, I'd love to see that match.
Fun times back in the day but I don't see anyone showing love to Sandy Barr. The only referee to go for the backhand count. The best there ever was...
Fastest 45 minute match in history
Cut down to just the highlights, brother.
@@TestosteroneOverload Are you going to post the full match?
Billy Jack was unable to get it done against NWA world champion Ric flair. Billy Jack was also unsuccessful .in taking AWA tag team titles from the Road Warriors..
How on earth had Flair held the world title longer than anybody else? I guess the announcer just decided to make that up on the fly.
Read the comments now , ric flair isn't even in the top ten record holders , Bruno sammartino is the longest at , 2803 days !
You know Billy Jack was in Mid Atlantic and Dusty Ego
Apparently Flair is the one time Heavy Rate Champion
حكم المبارة فعلا قوي وشجاع وهاجم ريك فلير ردا علي اهانته له بدفعه ..فثأر لكرامته
How was that 45 minutes?
My cousin went to high school with Billy Jack Haynes Marshall High School they play hockey together that's the truth
What venue is this filmed in?
Definitely not the Portland sports arena
This is from the Portland Memorial Coliseum, where the Blazers played before the Moda Center/Rose Quarter was built right across the street.
Was this the same show where Roddy Piper flew in from the WWF to wrestle Buddy Rose in a grudge match?
1985
believe it was 85
45 minutes went by fast
Not quite sure why the announcer said that Flair was "the longest reigning champ of all time"
Um, no
Not even close..
Any matches of Haynes vs Superstar Billy Graham?
DeMonte Bacus Unfortunately, no. Billy Graham never came through the PNW.
@@TestosteroneOverload Those two had a feud in Florida years before this. I believe Graham broke BJ Hayes arm ? Florida title was at stake.
@@TestosteroneOverload Thank you for posting all of these videos! Your channel is letting me relive my childhood. Where the heck did you get all of this footage?
@Reality Check And also Herb Abrams' UWF Sports Channel championship.
Wrong , Bruno sammartino holds the record for the longest title holder ever , , 2,803 days and it still stands to this day , ric flair isn't even in the top ten ,👹👹👹
what*s the intro music for hanes
Jerry Henry it’s called muscles by Diana Ross.
Fun fact when Ric Flair defended his Title, if he was wearing purple Trunks he didn't lose but if he was wearing red He was going to lose.
The ring announcer looks like Freddy Mercury.
This is just the beginning and end...the full bout lasted 45 minutes.
is this whole show available?
@@jivancich I doubt it.
How stupid. He had Flair completely beaten.
Just the way It was booked.
I never liked time limit matches
I don't either. The Regal and Anderson feud was ridiculous. WCW couldn't decide who to be world tv champ with their matches.
This video had to truncate this match
Bill jack vs rick fler🤛💪🤼♂️
I'm 6 5 1/2 and 257 and Billy is more than 255
And Ric Flair 240?! No way! 210 maybe..
Billy has said he has great respect for Flair, but didn't like their matches, felt they were too predictable. This was a total "homer" match though.
i seen this match in seattle. i also seen Piper and Sting vs Flair their also
Flair wasn't the longest reigning champ. Not by a long shot.
Garbage match. Flair needed to get in more offense. Just because he was a heel didn't mean he needed to get his butt handed to him almost the entire match and get press slammed three times.
Too bad Billy Jack got a bad deal from McMahon
Why can't these two just get along? they probably have a lot in common. they should try to talk out their differences. Violence should be a last resort.
this might be nitpicking but why did they have like a 10 minute time limit for a world title match good match though.
Travis williams They actually had close to a 60 minute match for the World Title but the television station only showed highlights that were masterfully edited together, making it look like a ten minute match. It's unfortunate they didn't air the event as a TV Special or at least let that week's TV run longer so they could show more.
oh okay thank you.
Travis williams Dont know but they could have a week match and Haynes would be too stupid to win the belt.
Travis W they said it was a 45 min limit
Travis W you must be deaf
مبارة قوية وكفاح من ريك فلير ضد مصارع مهاري وأقوي منه بمراحل
Wtf! Kind of music Haynes has smfh
Either Flair has been extremely
lucky or establishment assisted.
Haynes wouldve pinned Flair in 10 seconds.
Doubt that, ma’am-Haynes was a strongman, but Flair was an amateur champion.
Silly woman.🤣
Another one who thinks that the big guy will always win a fight regardless of hand to hand fight knowledge
November In a wrestling match I doubt it but in a streetlight I agree actually
Billy jack should have git the strap
