I knew Rip's sons Larry and Lance when I was a kid in Tampa. Billy and Rip kicked ass.

I used to go to the Portland Wrestling, or Big Time Wrestling (as it was promoted in Seattle), matches at the long gone Seattle Center Arena. Oh man! Those were the days. Great stuff! WWF / WWE had NOTHING as good as Don Owens promotions!
Back when wrestling was supposed to look like a shoot. WWF ruined wrestling forever, although with the Advent of mma in the early 90s, the future was already written

And this is also a pre-"Haynes" match, when he was still just Billy Jack, and not Billy Jack Haynes. I remember when he had to change it, and I didn't question at all that he did it as a tribute to his blind father, and not copyright infringement.

I knew Rip also we hauled logs he drove truck for Jack Davis I went to rips place one time he owed a old chicken Ranch believe it or not lol he was using the Barns for storage he had old cars and pickups in them barns were big he would give ya the shirt off of his back if you needed it good man and oh boy he could haul logs RIP RIP he told me he made a lot of money and he spent it he would’ve made millions like the rest of the guys like rowdy piper and them but he just got to where he couldn’t hardly lift them over his head. The people were getting bigger and bigger he decided to get out of it. Good old boy there 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉party like a star Rip while your in haven see ya on the other side lmao the thump it was a way to get the crowd going and man did he 🤣🤣🤣
I saw a few matches in Yakima with RIP. I'd love to relive those days of Portland Wresting!
