    Cool stuff, I had no idea that Billy Jack once had his own promotion. Great find. 👍

    The OWF. A wresting promotion owned by Billy Jack Haynes. And almost ran Portland Wrestling that was owned by Don Owens out of business when Billy took most of the wrestlers that worked for Owens.
    And when Billy's promotion and gym went belly up. Don Owens didn't hold any grudge. He gave Billy and all the other wrestlers that left him their jobs back.

      That says a hell of a lot about Don, too. A class act for 50 years.

      @@TestosteroneOverload Don Owens was that rare wrestling promoter. A hand shake from Don Owens was a contract. If Owens said you were getting paid $200 for a match. You were paid that $200. Owens never stiffed his wrestlers. Larry Henning send his son Curt Henning to get his start in wrestling under Don Owens. Why? Because the Ax knew that Don Owens wouldn't cheat his son.

    BJH's bodyweight will always be a mystery. Even hear the announcers figure was 5 pounds off from what immediately follows on the screen. Wtf?

    No way Fred could not have broken the slipper hold with his size and strength

      leeinvegas ...I agree...he beat up Haynes for 4 1/2 minutes straight, and was thoroughly enjoying it...the the beaten-stupid Jayne's throws on a full Nelson and wins easily, c-mon? I'd have much rather see Billy lose to big Fred in a submission hold, like a lower back crushing camel clutch, Fred's crushing weight on Hayne's back, Fred yanking Billy's head back by two tight fistfuls of hair, shaking and jerking Billy's head around, forcing him to have to submit from the neck twisting and lower bent-back crushing agony....That would of been much more believable in this match....AND it would of really got the crowd pissed off...well, most of the crowd, not me of course, I was on Fred's side the whole time......NO RULES....imagine the stuff he could of done to Billy on those ropes, he def didn't take full advantage of those ropes....damn! lol

      libra42ful Fred’s size and strength should have taken hi. Further. He was a monster giant and extremely strong .

    • @libra42ful
      @libra42ful 6 років тому

      leeinvegas you can tell by lookin at him that he was damn solid, big, but solid.....he could of humiliated Haynes easily even more if he wanted to, especially in a NO RULES match.... I'd of really enjoyed watching him torture Haynes's neck and back in a camel clutch, a good, long-ridden, rough, dominating one....where Haynes finally submits, but Fred punishes him in it a while longer just to humiliate Billy, and really show him who the better, stronger man is

      Haynes hands keep slipping out, Ottman continued to sell it.
