I think the fact he stumbled a little bit makes this performance 1000% more authentic. When he says "that's it', gave me goosebumps..
I agree
Adios mano, thanks for all the 2am songs. RIP
His music changed the way I write and play music. Thank you for everything Justin. May you fly free, you beautiful soul.
Wonderful performance. So sad he’s gone.
Oh, God. Damn. Such a beautiful, heartbreaking song. Thank you, Justin.
Justin digs a hole into you. His music is transcendent.
Hope he is thriving 💛
You wait so many years for the world to change,, but unfortunately , Anna,,, I love you, for singing for me, Justin.
Thank you so much, Justin. Rest easy.
god, hate to see when these awesome musicians go to soon from us... so much talent...
so much talent....
JT Earle is named after the late GREAT Townes Van Zandt. TVZ must be experienced.
Miss you brother
My favourite performance of his x
Mine too
Thank you
Townes is the master, but I have respect for this young man.
Townes Van Zandt is the greatest song writer ever if you like this Townes will blow your mind
F me, I miss this dude.
We've lost a lot of artists over the years but the loss of JTE cut so much deeper for some reason.
GOAT
Miss you man...
just shows he"s a true musician
The Loar Lo-16. Beautiful guitar.
feels good, man.
sorry, i said i'd never play this song, this is it
I can tell you that the root chords (capo on 6) are C, G, F, G picked in the "Travis Picking" style. I'm not sure what the end part is, he goes into a minor chord, Am? (that's the relative minor of C, so it makes sense. Try Am, G7 for that ending part.
A lot of his songs are played in the C F G 1 4 5 progression with a capo on different frets simply because Travis picking works best in these chord shapes. His Dad used to write everything in G years ago but has improved over the years on guitar .
Don't you hate when you've written so many beautiful songs that you forget the lyrics to some of them, always so frustrating.....
True artistry is not caring about why you put the thing out, is about getting away from it
muthafuk me i cant believe he’s gone. i mean, i can, but still-i cant fukin believe it.
Lets just be quiet for a minute.
It is Steve Earle's son.
🙏
Son of his father
It's a Loar LO-16.
No because then it would be "Towne's" with the apostrophe.
I understand you are exited but the equation is very inaccurate.
She calls you daddy? I like that.
lol and?
