I noticed how quiet this car is when you shut the door. Did anyone notice that too? The highway was so loud but when he closed the door, it was like he was anywhere near the highway. Nice review. I just saw that this car won the North American car of the year for 2011. Good job Hyundai.
excellant job kyle hyundai has changed alot from an cheep brand to an sporty looking and high class material in the interier. from the hyundai Pony, to this hyundai came along way.
Being a 5th Generation Hyundai Elantra (Limited) owner, for a small vehicle, putting it thru pure hell, driving 1000 plus or more a month...I can absolutely testify that this is an awesome little car for the cost effective per dollar amount. Except, I took my little Elantra to an entire whole new radical level by dropping the front 1 inch, the back 2 inches (leveling kit), took all Hyuandai icon badges off replacing them with custom spray painted decals turning the limited edition into the Hyuandai Elantra Rally Sport Limited Edition by having custom leather seats with RS embossed, the passenger air bag flap with RS engraved, the Dallas Cowboys team blue color painted from the front bumper fascia ground effects kit all the way the rear bumper diffuser lip approx the width of my Texas license plate, had 1-off no-other made Ava'ntee 19" rims shod with 35R 40F (had CNC Lathe Shop copy the similar pattern, narrowing the 5 bars & swirling them to give the 3D effects as if the rims are hopping & sand the black paint off replacing it with House of Colors Paint [California]. Hyundai offers a factory turbo bolt-on kit that is factory installed in the Hyuandai Volester...it fits & works amazing wonders on my engine. To say the least.......I'M NOT FINISHED.
In my original post regarding the Elantra...it's just (my) opinion & how I've transformed an already decent little car into an extraordinary totally different pumping out 250+ HP beast. I don't promote or endorse Hyundai...wish I did cuz I'd get PAID. The main gist of this repost is this: "Ppl {need to} realize that ANYTHING/EVERYTHING that is man-made will at some point of its life span have a glitch surface. Please allow yourself to think out-side the box; wherefore, because you've experienced an unsatisfactory result, doesn't apply to everyone who owns said product. I'll be posting photos soon just to prove how radical/extreme this little car can be taken to new levels. Good Day, Mate.
Great Job Hyundai. It's very obvious that they are swinging for the fences with the new Hyundai and the Sonata. These 2 cars represent some fresh new styling and upgraded interiors in both markets. I hope that Toyota and Honda are paying attention or they're going to find themselves on the bottom of the list.

I had one of these. Well, my parents did. They owned it. Had a 2012 model in red since new. It was a great first car and the car I learned to drive in until it was stolen last year (given it lacked any sort of immobilizer) just 3 weeks before I got my drivers license. It was totaled. I then replaced it with a 2010 Lincoln MKS (also red), and now a 2015 Subaru Impreza in blue.
I went to a Hyundai dealership just to see one of these, and I think it's an excellent car. I don't think I'll ever get used to the exterior styling, but I really want one of these with a manual transmission. I hope that I can get one within the next two years. Love your vids Kyle, they never disappoint.
Great job! I'm looking at 3 cars... the Juke, Sonanta 2.0t and the new Elantra....for $20 to $24K you can get a lot of car. I just can't make my mind up! There's pros and cons for each. I guess it will come down to test drives and deals from dealerships. I know I'd be happy with any of the 3. Thx!
Change the wheels, and I'd say that's the perfect entry level car. As with everyone else congratulating you on doing a review so early, I'm not gonna lie- I'm impressed as hell. I thought they'd only shown that as the concept car.
@muiscnight I have a 2001 Elantra with just over 140k miles on. I had to replace the value cover gasket yesterday since oil seemed to leak out a bit. This was the first time that I looked inside the engine. Was I surprised to see the condition of engine?... so clean and almost looked like new. The more I know about Hyundai, the more I can count on the Hyundai quality. You do your proper maintenance, they will last forever.

My friend has a 2013 Elantra Limited in black with black leather, it's honestly a really nice car, and the seats are really comfy.
