- Hi all, In this video I bought an Ecotank 2810 Printer to convert it to a Sublimation Printer. I is my first time doing this , I hope it's not too complicated, hopefully we can learn something new, together. I used A SUB sublimation ink from amazon. Hope this video helps just a little bit if you are planning to do this in the future. I learned alot. Enjoy!

I kept seeing videos come up for this printer saying sublimation. I had no clue what that meant and had to look it up. Now I realise that it's to print on things other then paper, like stickers and clothes, for gifts and to sell. I don't do that myself, I just need a new printer and am looking at getting this instead of one with cartridges again, but now I'm intrigued. I will have to see what you and others print on. It is a lovely video by the way. 🙂

Hi yes I thought I would have a problem without a screen, but all the info will be on your computer/ laptop. This has been a great printer I haven't had any problems. X
Great video! Did you wash the tops of the Epson bottles as well as the bottles before adding the sublimation ink as I can see ink on them, does it matter?
Hi, no I didn't wash the tops, no it doesn't matter, hasn't affected anything, 😁

what brand of sublimation ink do you use for the et 2810 ? i have same printer still in box but not sure what sublimation ink to use thanks
I used A Sub ink, along with the A Sub sublimation paper, Hippo ink is good too so I've heard

Hi Phil, I use white Kraft paper from Hobbycraft, it's £3.30 a roll or 2 for £6.00, think it's 9metres on a roll. Thanks for you lovely comment 😁
Great video thank you 🙂👍 Been reading up on printers and didnt want to spend a fortune. Thanks for showing how you put the ink in. I know some people use syringes. Have you tried it on 100% cotton?

Hi Jammy, yes some people do use syringes, I found it easier using the Epson bottles. As you may know you have to use material with a high polyester count, at least over 65% and up. I bought a bottle of sublimation coating spray for cotton clothing . I will be testing it out very soon, watch out for that video. Yes I do have a Scouse accent, good spotting 😄x

Hello. I'm thinking about buying this printer. May I ask how's the image quality? In some reviews people say that the image that is printed is good, but others say it's not.
I want to buy this printer for sublimation (to personalize mugs).
Hiya, the reviews are when people use the printer with the ink that comes with it. I use sublimation ink that I bought on Amazon, when printing it comes out faded, only becomes vibrant when you press it with heat press, check out my other video after this one were I do a few projects with the printer, I think this printer is great, had no problems. Do you have the link for the ink please?? i researched and could only find the ink for the ET-2800??? or will that still work?
Hi , I put a link for the ink in the description, if your doing sublimation you need sublimation ink. It is A-SUB sublimation ink I use. 😀
My ET-2875 can print manual dobbelsides but the App Epson Smart Panel can only print a whole file, e.g. file is 100 pages but you only want 10 dobbeltsided . This is a software error, very easy to fix. But our local agent seems not able to communicate with Epson. What is wrong?
did you rinse the ordinary ink bottles before putting the sub ink into them?

Could you use the bottles they came in or do you need to swap it over. As I don’t have any empty bottles
To be on the safe side I transferred the Epson bottles into plain generic ones so I could use the bottles that came with the printer, I noticed that the generic empty bottles I bought were different tops, I got them on Amazon. Don't use the Epson ink that comes with it if your using it for sublimation
You don't need to swap them over, a few girls I know use the ink experts one with no issues

I got mine from eBay, they are Ink Experts easy refill bottles, I just put the ink that I got with the printer in those ones , washed the them out and put the sublimation ink in the bottles that came with the printer, hope that makes sense, put the right colours in the right bottles
Hi! Great video. I have two questions. Is this ink needed for all types of stickers? Also how do images like logo’s look when printed with this printer? I see some people’s reviews say the image quality is poor, I can’t find any examples online of what the prints actually look like with this printer.
Hello, thanks, when I do stickers I just use my normal inkjet printer, I wouldn't use my Sublimation ink, the second question I haven't done logo's, I've done names and image's, have you seen the video where I sublimated on different things like fleece throw , clothing, table runner. Hi Hayley, try printing an image because even with broken lines you can get a good image, just try it. Let me know how it went.

Hello, I've done this , but the ink quality is very poor on photos when printing, can you help with this?
It does print pale , becomes more vibrant when you use heat press
@@daynorslifestyle2091 I've tried it on sublimation paper and it's still dull.... How long do you need to press them for? I've tried 2 coaster's and a jigsaw the jigsaw was a total no go.
@@daynorslifestyle2091 in your second video of printing, what paper are you using for the Xmas pics ont he cloths? And is it best to print through cricut or just print pictures as normal?
@@nataliefoster-m1p are they sublimation coasters, though I've never done coasters you can watch others doing this, I have watched one or two I think it's about 60 or 70 seconds,

Where did you get the empty bottles from? That you poured the ink into that came with the printer.

@@daynorslifestyle2091 were the screw fittings of Epson ink spout different to the Ink Expert bottles? I was just thinking it may have been easier to just swap the spouts/caps.
Yes, the black , and colours all have different shapes on top of the bottles glad I got the spare ones to change the ink over.
@@daynorslifestyle2091 I should have some arriving tomorrow & was hoping that if the actual necks of the empty bottles were the same size as the epson it would just be a case of unscrewing the top off the original Epson one and swapping it over rather than decanting the contents and washing out to refill. (I have a feeling this could get messy tomorrow! 😂)

Oh I ordered ink via Amazon and never recieved anything and had the set up since last year just braved trying out and failed colour not transfering and i know it substrate blank, and I'm using a sub paper so can only think it's due to not having a ICC profile for ink Reed, is there any way around or is there sharing profiles or are they unique? Thanks for reply
Are you using cricut design space or something else?
Cricut design space, I do have canva but not used this yet but will need to transfer to DS to mirror print 😀

hiya, I can tell you what I did when setting up my printer, if you go to preferences , the paper quality I use epson matte, and quality high, then under more options go to colour correction, advanced, the colour mode i'm using Adobe RGB and gamma 2.2, you can change the colours in there too but I didn't need to touch them, It always print muted or faded , the proper colours come out when its been pressed. hope this helps
What is the brand of sublimation ink you used that is compatible with the ET2810 please

This doesn't tell you how to convert to sublimation, it only says how to set it up from scratch as a sublimation printer...not the same thing. How do I empty the old ink first with out damaging the print heads?
If you've got Epson ink in already you will have to flush the old ink out, my printer was brand new and I didn't put the Epson ink in I put the sublimation ink in.
My printer is super slow it’s Epson et 2810
Too much fluffing about not getting straight to the point of the product rubbish
