I wonder if Dark knows something we don't, like was 20 Mutas enough that splash damage left the stalkers vulnerable to some breakpoint of ravagers?
I think the mutas were just to close out the game. Dark knew that he was far ahead, but vs blinkstalkers roach ravager isnt great, as they can get kited for quite a bit. With mutas on the other hand, he can use his ground army to make the stalkers run while the mutas hunt them down. And if the stalkers try to stand their ground vs the mutas, the roach ravager can catch up and the stalkers have to run again. So at some point he can force an engagement without losing to much on the way. Of course that only works that well if you are so far ahead, that your air and your ground are both a thread on their own to the protos army.
And yes, if you have enough mutas (id say 25-30) with one or two attack upgrades, they will slice their way through stalkers, because you can stack them, while the stalkers need space to fight. At this point the protos player either needs storm and/or archons. It would already be too late to start up phoenixes, the mutas would just camp the stargates.

@@deafdanny6299 Yeah, that part was weird, as if you have that many mutas the stargate would be dead in a few hits anyway.
Its hard for me to cheer for zerg or terran but dark is by far the most entertaining player to watch and I cheer for him all the time 😂
Yeah, Protoss needs a buff.
@@Tonius126 they got like 84 million buffs this decade, maybe they need someone who actually knows how to play as good as Dark/Maru/Clem do?
@@Tonius126 Mandatory military service has pulled away more of the top pro protoss players than zerg and terran. Though there are a good number of the best pro zergs and terrans that have that looming over them, like serral and dark.. who are likely to start their service this year.
And the ladder win rates looks A Lot different than pro win rates.
So protoss Looks like they need a buff because more of their best have been pulled away than anyone else, and when they come back (if they come back to pro gaming), they not only are rusty but have to catch up with the skill creep that didnt stop while they were gone.

I think the 20 mutas in the first game was reasonable given the lings and ravagers already part of Dark's core army. Mutas mitigate the stalker's mobility, and inherently puts the Protoss into a lose/lose situation if he can outmatch the stalkers in a direct fight, and punish the mineral line if he enters a stalemate with his ground army.
Lowko starting the year strong with amazing casts that just don't let up! Hey Lowko I've been thinking of words to use in your cast and I think "sanguine" should probably be used at least once in every Dark game.

I believe in the campaign Kerrigan's Vipers do have a small air to air auto attack in addition to their abilities. I think it would be fair for Vipers to have some small auto attack since it's so easy for them to fly off and get melted. I don't see that as zerg bias. My zerg bias wishes we could have one Leviathan with powers like how protoss gets a mama-ship.

But too be fair they could add that attack to the infestor and viper but it won't change much. Unless they have a stupid range if they go forward they would still die. If you look at it, high templar are still on a separate hotkey and if they ever use their aa it is to die in the next second.
To be fair on this Stormgate devs got it right. All their caster have an auto attack which allow them to stay well placed but also add interesting effects next to it
That second game with mass hydra/lurker was just mean. Dark had map control the entire time. Slowly wore down his opponent. Well played.

14:20 - and that is why there is no toss goat.. This thinking its not in their minds.... Or it is, but the mechanic are not there. A goat had both and currently there is no toss goat. Not the race is the problem.
It's like 99% of Terran fly like half a screen outside of zerg vision and drop their Marines to heal. Just send some banes and they are dead.

MaxPax canceled his 3rd armor upgrade at 26:15 when nearly finished... big mistake, the 3:3 against 3:0 timing would have been massive, even the whole 3:3 vs 3:1 time.. not the biggest difference, but definitely a big one.

Vipers don't have auto attacks because they can refill their energy from sucking on buildings. If they could refill energy AND auto attack, then they would be op.

Not sure a weak auto attack that keeps them from racing into enemy armies would make them OP. If it did as much damage as non-casters for sure... but like the high templar? Im not sure about that
@@bloodydove5718 A viper can abduct, parabomb or blind, and them immediately turn around and refill its energy, unlike other casters that have to wait as their energy slowly refills. I'm sure blizzard took out an auto attack on purpose, because then the viper would be too op.
@@Phi1618033 They didnt take out an auto attack, the viper never had one. And giving a caster the ability to not run to its death isnt overpowering lol. If it did high templar damage (which is less than a probe/drone/scv lol), then thats not going to break the game.
The high templar also didnt use to have an auto attack, but they gave it one so that it wouldnt instantly die because to something that unfair

A1 vs B1 was 0:2
A2 vs B2 was 1:1
A3 vs B3 was 1:1
A4 vs B4 was 2:0
A5 vs B5 was 0:2
total score is 4:6 and the team B wins
@@cyberkekosis Thanks for the explanation. Calling it "Bo2" is confusing at best. This format would benefit from its own name (like round robin, swiss format, etc).

Maybe a nitpick but it's a bit misleading to call it a 'best of 2' series because 'best of' means there will be a definite winner in the end
cuz the baneling suck now. like its a suicide unit. a suicide unit u need to morph in from a zergling....it should be a little OP. not only do u need to have a baneling nest. u also need lings, then u need to morph them, then for the most part u need to research their speed. burrow as well. like jesus christ...
one thing Dark could do is turn on a light so he wouldn't be in the dark anymore.
8:08 seen from p hovering 800´+ resources 4bat,1pho, 2 pylons, easy def. but pro players would rather die with 10.000 resources than throw down some off that as a proper static.... so dumb, and frustrating to watch :P
also wth is up with protoss never full walling anywhere`? unless you are going there everywhere should be full wall, and workers particularly should always be fully walled in, either recall them if they need to or warp prism out if need to. it auto defend 90% off Z runby and drone harass.
10:02 bc pro players hate static defences so i bet you those mutas will do the dmg to put up 20 static defences, 10 in each base easily before those muta's are done ^^
ow it straight up ended the game. 700+ min that should have been statics, would have won that fight or garanteed safe defense..
21:53 1k mineral not a single static defence in main. and very small static for a frontline base...
